Been coming here every time my dog visits (I get her every other week) and we have a blast. The owners of the dogs that come here are almost always very social and so great to chat with and there are always regulars. Was visiting my family in PA and found this dog park which wasn't too far from where they live. They have two sections divided for small (under 30lbs) vs large dogs. When we got there, there were only 2 dogs in the small section but I'm sure they were not under 30lbs and kept jumping on us which resulted in scratching my leg. Luckily the owners noticed the dog's behavior and left. My pup was the only one in there and she absolutely loved it. A great way to burn that puppy energy. The park is very clean and also has a water fountain for dogs to drink from. Will definitely be back when the weather gets warmer. read more

I only put a rating in because I had to. I haven't been to this park in about five years where I had both good experiences and bad experiences. My dog is fine once she gets into the open area but can be leash aggressive when on the leash. Which the one time we were going, two dog owners were coming (one to and one from) the park where their dogs were OFF LEASH on the path outside of the dog park., on way to parking lot. One came towards my pup very aggressively. My neighbor hasn't been there for a few years either because his gentle dog was viciously attacked (as in grabbing her by neck//throught, standing over, shaking her, and her owner did nothing, until others yelled at said owner,, who picked her dog up and just left without making sure his dog was okay, or apologize. After owner left, friend said he picked his dog and rushed her to the vet, Another time, my first time there, I took my two to the smaller side, and my beagle was doing well until a gentleman arrived with his small dog who immediately went after my beagle in a very aggressive way and he said "just let them work it out." Thankfully the others there said "No. you don't do that with someone's first time experience bringing their dog to a dog park," which felt good to be supported in that way Finally, one other time, it was a pleasant experience, the people welcomed us in, asked about our dog, helped if either of our dogs seemed overwhelmed, etc. As a result, it is hard for me to say whether or not I would recommend this park since I have not been there for five years. read more

This is the best dog park around. According to me. And you're still reading, so in my world that means you agree. Thanks! This place opened in October 2008 and I was lucky enough to discover it via conversation with some of the dog owners at MonDaug. It started out as whispers in the clicquey-owners' circle. A few sideways glances at the other pup parents. And then people were just outwardly talking about it. ANOTHER park? Only miles away down Limekiln Pike? Will this new park change the usage patterns of MonDaug? Luckily that answer was a resounding "YES" for me and the maddie dog. The first trek out from the house felt like a serious haul. And it kind of was. We finally got to 1013 Horsham Road, and luckily knew exactly where it was. It's just beyond the police station on the right, if you're coming from Limekiln. You also know where you are if you're across from a baseball field and on the same side as the roller hockey rink with the black fencing. The parking lot design is angled head-in, which is smart design for a dog park, regardless of whether or not that was intentional. It feels a lot safer coming in and going out. There's a large pond and water feature in immediate view. But where's the park itself? Luckily the clique isn't big on walking and that's one of the complaints they had about HDP so again, I knew I was in the right place. It IS far from the parking lot by comparison, but we don't mind that one bit! As you walk down the trail toward the gated in area, you'll notice the ducks and geese circling in the water honking and quacking their don't-even-try-to-eat-me warnings at your dog. They're cute and friendly if you have bread for them, but are not interested in the dogs at all. There's a large white gazebo on the right and a little farther down a playground and grill area. Finally you arrive at the fenced in dog park. And what a mecca it is! It's got a very simple design, but both the small dog and big dog areas have trees enclosed with them. In the fall this makes for some fun leaf-pile chases for the dogs. Theres more running space than your dog probably even needs here!There are benches and community water bowls and an ample supply of doggie bags in case you've run out of your own. People leave plenty of pet-safe toys around for your dog to play with while you're there. And just outside the fence is a recycling container for your plastic water bottles, which I think is a nice touch. The best part about this park is the overall temperment of the dogs and the friendliness of all of the owners. I've been going here regularly since it opened, thankful that gas prices went back down, but even more thankful that I found the perfect park for my dog. She gets along well with the dogs and people in both areas. In the warmer weather, when she got muddy, she ended the trip out to Horsham with a dip in the duck pond. It makes for a smellier car-ride home, but she enjoys it and it minimizes the muddy paw-prints in the back seat! The only thing that concerns me about HDP is that the grass may not grow back inside. After the couple snows we had this year, the place turned into an absolute mud pit. (I'll post a picture--keep in mind this wasn't long after we had gotten there that day!) If the grass doesn't grow back it will be a shame, because the land was beautiful. But, as mentioned before, if there's tons of lush grass, something must be wrong! If you decide to make the pilgrimmage to Horsham and for some reason your dog doesn't get along with the others, your trip won't be wasted. There are quite a few paved trails that connect to the main trail where you can give your pooch some on-leash exercise. Happy dog parking all! :D read more

I've been going here with my brother since July when we first adopted our dog. It's been a great place to get him out and run around in a bigger yard and socialize with other dogs. For the most part this park is kept up really week. I also know they need volunteers to keep it going. I just wish the large dog side was taken care of a bit more. They need to put more grass down. The wood chips work well but after it rains they move a lot and makes the ground really muddy which makes it easier for dogs to dig. The park also needs to take better care of the trees surrounding the area. There are a lot of dead trees. I love that they have water available and that it's a free dog park. Overall it's great, they could use a few more amenities. read more

This is a great park. No fee, poop bags provided, and plenty of space to run. The only downside I have seen so far from my two visits is that not too many small dogs frequent it. Also the small dog enclosure is pretty shady. So we end up in the large dog area. Well this is good and bad because our dog is 9lbs soaking wet. It is good he learns to play with big doggies but it is bad because he can easily get overwhelmed. He is a typical dachshund and afraid of nothing so he will waltz right up to a 200lb dog and invite some romping chase play, then gets overtaken quickly, because he has short stubby legs, and runs the risk of getting trampled and hurt. So we have to mother hen him and make sure he doesn't get himself into trouble. The slow times are in the afternoons but seems to pick around 5 on weekends. As long as the weather is nice we will definitely be back here often. I prefer this park because it is grassy, well maintained and big. There is a lot of room to run in both the small and large dog areas. Also the gates are well designed and in very good working order. As I visit more parks I keep using this one as the bench mark for how one should be. read more

Great place to take my furbabby. He loves to run around and make new friends here. I've met some nice people here who are responsible pet owners. Place is clea. No needles or dog fecal matter laying around. Occasional grump guy there but he is polite. His dog loves to play frisbee and really gets along with my Bruno. Bruno gets really excited to go here and it makes him super tired when we go home. read more

Facilities are 5 star. Dogs here are hit or miss. Have had issues with owners bringing agressive dogs. Will stop and watch the dogs before entering next time. Turn around if you see a black shepard with a red harness and a shock collar. My dog was one of several that got bit yesterday. A great dog park. The parking lot is spacious, and there is a duck pond and forest that leads to the park. The trails are paved. This could be a beautiful place in the fall. There's a separate pen for large dogs and small (30 lbs. and under). There are water bowls and poop bags available. There are benches under the shade of trees and right outside the pens for your relaxation. The only con is that the "bathroom" looks a little haunted...well, I kid, but it's bare bones in there. read more

We tried this dog park for the first time this past weekend. It's great! There weren't a lot of small dogs there, so we brought our Boston into the big dog area. Everyone was pretty laid back and my dog had a great time. It's a good opportunity for us to get our little guy better socialized with large dogs. There are benches to sit on, dog bowls to fill and some shade. It can be a little dusty, due to the lack of grass. Overall, a nice dog park. I would go here more often if it was closer to my house. read more

We took our two black lab mixes here today, the big dog enclosure was good, plenty of shade and water for the dogs, and benches for the owners. There are a few toys in there for the dogs to play with. The small dog enclosure was nearly empty and a lot of the smaller dogs were in the big dog area, which I have no problems with because it gives our big dogs a chance to socialize with little dogs and big dogs. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it was a pretty muddy and our one dog got attacked by a big chocolate lab. Our dog is very dominate too though, luckily we got our dog away before it escalated too far. Overall a nice dog park despite our experience. read more

It's a bit of a drive for me to get here but it's nice. Plenty of space. I've never seen any canine issues - every dog has had a decent disposition. Good to meet the ladies too. So after I drafted this, some dudes dog attacked two other dogs. My dog is a 90 lb wuss-bag so he wasn't really intersted. I left before the attack dog killed a shar-pei. read more

This park is well maintained, with walking trails, playgrounds, a nice fountain, and of course two fenced in areas for dogs (one for large and one for small). We've brought our 22lb jack russel spaniel mix there twice now, all of the dogs and owners have been pleasant and friendly. We will continue to go! read more

We love this place!! We just discovered this place a few weeks ago and have been three times. The people are all very friendly and pay attention to their dogs. There is a separate section for small dogs (under 30 lbs) and a separate section for large dogs. The fences are very high (no way for your dog to jump over no matter what). The place is clean and well kept. They provide doggie bags to clean up after your pet and everyone actually does! The walkway to the park is wide and well paved. The small pond in the front of the park is nice as well. There is plenty of parking and restrooms. Beware - the restrooms are like a camp site. read more

Horsham dog park is the perfect size. It is not so big that you cannot keep track of your dog but also has ample space for even large dogs to get plenty of exercise in. The owners are generally friendly-- it is usually the same people who come. There are benches where you can sit and free water supply during the spring/summer/fall months. read more

I love this dog park for the park itself, as well as for the crowd. I've been here at least 6 or so times and I've never seen a fight or play fight that escalated to something out of the ordinary. Lots of responsible owners who keep an eye on their dogs and make sure that everyone has a pleasant experience, which is more than I can say for other dog parks I've been to (where fights have gotten bad enough that they had to break out the first aid kit, and the owner still didn't feel like maybe it was time to go...). Decent size with the typical small dog/ large dog sections. Don't think I've ever seen anyone in the small side, but it's there if you want it! Also they just put in a water fountain for the dogs, which is great because that was the only negative before! read more

I take my dog here a couple times a month. The park has great space (for big dogs, I got a big dog, I don't know about little dogs), is well maintained, has water bowls available to fill, provides bags for clean up, and is free. The park can't control every knucklehead who wants to come to the park, but in general, the culture of the park is positive. This is a nice dog park. It has plenty of secured space for your pup to run around. The grounds are well-kept. There is a separate section for small dogs and puppies should you choose. For the summer, there is a shower head of sorts with a baby pool under it to stay cool. Lots of places for pup parents to rest, with and without shade. It is fairly spacious, but not as huge as the website made it seem, from my perspective. There are few bowls to fill for water. The ground is mostly dirt and bark. read more

The Horsham Dog Park is a great place for our little Boston Terrier puppy to play and meet new friends. The owners all keep an eye on their dogs, and are all very friendly. It's a nice size with benches and trees for shade. There is no trash in the park which is nice because I've been places where people litter and our puppy tries to eat it. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot, I'm kinda lazy so I wish it were closer, but it's good for me to get some exercise too! I wish it was a bit closer to Willow Grove, but it's worth the drive. read more

Was a great few first visits but lately it appears aggressive dogs have taken over. Bad experience the last visit from 2 very aggressive dogs. I have a sweet socialized retriever. I can't risk returning with my adolescent pup. Really a shame that some owners don't take their responsibilities seriously. read more

My new favorite place to take my pups. This park is well kept and has a fenced area so my little ones can run free and burn some energy. There's water fountains for the dogs, which is a very nice touch, and I forgot to mention the fenced area is separated by to sides, one for small dogs and the other side is for any size dog. i agree. great park. wish the small dog area was larger though. my complaints would be the same as that of other parks. idiots who bring babies/strollers into the park and people who bring kids but have no control over them. they forget that these parks were set up for the benefit of the dogs. some dogs do not want to be chased or picked up by strange kids. or the people with dogs who are agressive but say "oh him, he's just playing..." read more
