WOW! Such amazing service from Norbert. Norbert took the time to give us recommendations on the dishes as we never had Hungarian food before. The food was absolutely delicious!! SO much flavor. Me and my fiance shared one beef plate and one chicken crepe plate. Two glasses of wine and a exquisite dessert. 6/5 stars from us!! Believe when I say, it's worth stopping by here. Thank you for everything Norbert!

Don't get me wrong, the food was amazing. 5/5 crispy and juicy. A few days in Switzerland and this schnitzel was HEAVEN. However, the owner/server was quite off-putting in general.. We thought he might be not-so-welcoming towards Asians. He wasn't that nice, especially when we didn't want to order any drinks with the meal..so I got a coke. He also told the table next to me (that happened to be Chinese) that 'you're supposed to order a drink to have a complete meal' and would glance over at our table often but not ask how we're doing (vs making small talk to other tables). We just ate quickly and left. It's worth it to make a reservation here because they only have 5 tables, and people were being turned away from 6:30pm onwards. read more

Food was unbelievably good, service was excellent, ambiance was good. We had a salad appetizer which had perfect flavors and the greens were very fresh. We had the pork tenderloin with morel mushroom sauce which comes with fresh pasta + a catfish dish that had an intensely flavorful sauce. Both were SOOO good that we met the cook to tell her how much we appreciated it after we ate. Some of the best foods we have had the pleasure of eating i cannot recommend this place enough. It's worth it to make a reservation, I did see several people turned away once the place filled up. read more

Cozy bistro with 6 tables inside and 3 tables outside. Best Hungarian goulash and spatzle I've had. Very friendly and attentive owner, Norbert. Nice selection of Hungarian wines. Also serves locally brewed craft beer from Haarige Kuh Brauerie. Open Mondays and Tuesdays when many other local restaurants are closed. read more

A delectable duck and hearty helping of goulash made for a fantastic finish to a day of trekking through the trails of the Lauterbrunnen valley. We arrived at hoppla with high hopes, which we exceeded with the exceptional service , playful playlist, and delicious dishes. Could not recommend more. Waiter and chef kept checking up on us throughout the meal with wine recommendations and thoughtful insights. Dessert was fantastic. A must if you're in Interlaken. read more

This restaurant at the Renaissance Zurich Tower needs some serious attention, and you should start with whoever is your Food and Beverage manager, and whoever trains your cooks. Given the steep prices, your customers deserve far better than what you are providing. While the initial service was prompt, it rapidly went downhill. The fries were dry and hard to the point of being inedible. Other nearby guests had similar issues. I noticed that after the kitchen put out at least three orders with the inedible fries, and perhaps other food issues, the cook was strolling around the restaurant. I guess his work was done? To expect that your bartenders will also be restaurant servers in a spacious restaurant in a major hotel is simply ridiculous. And then to subject those servers to customer complaints, because your cook is too lazy to make fresh food, is simply cruel. Want to trim your costs? Start with firing some people in Food and Beverage, starting with the manager.
