just now New I have…read morehad fantastic experiences with Dr Currie over the last two years since moving to Ponte Vedra Beach. I have needed two root canals and had symptoms for another that Dr Currie diagnosed as something else. He was right and I did not need a root canal on that tooth. He and the whole staff at St. Johns Endodontics have been 100% kind, careful, caring and super competent! By far the best people I have ever had work in my mouth! I am 66 and retired after running a very large business that was focused on customer service across 2000 employees so I know what I'm talking about when I see great customer service like I've experienced with Dr Currie and St. Johns Endodontics!! And the building is beautiful inside with indirect lighting - great music - and wonderful art including some calming art on the monitors above your head while having a procedure done - first class all the way! I can't imagine going anywhere else for a consultation about a root canal

I'm sure St Johns Endodontics do great root canals however when I called for an appointment, I had…read morealready had a CT scan and new x-rays and pan done the week before. The woman I spoke with insisted that it is their protocol to have a new CT scan done in new x-rays. You've got to be kidding me! In what world is that necessary? These new CT scan machines are the cats meow to the company that designed them and sells them and the doctors that buy them pay a pretty penny for him so I'm sure they want to pay for them. But not on me thank you very much that increased risk and unnecessary need. I'm kind of glad it went that way because I disagreed with getting two more root canals and all the expense that was going to go into my mouth when it made more sense to do two extractions and one bone graph and implant for the same price of a bunch of nonsense that would've hurt me in the long run. Every tooth I have ever lost came from having a root canal that weakened the tooth and ultimately required it to be extracted. Root canals are bad for you. Avoid them at every cost. I worked 20 years in the Dental field, and it was quite a while ago, but root canals are still done the same way, the risks are still the same. A lot of them are unnecessary and that hasn't changed either. Good luck to all of you but look at more updated repairs to your mouth.

Dr. Thousand took the time to listen to my concerns and calmed my nerves. Highly recommended. I had little to no pain and if I ever need another root call he will be my first call!

Dr. Thousand was great and so was his dental staff. My problem came when they gave me one price and…read moregave my insurance a different amount. I payed my bill in full and then the insurance sent them a check, which they kept. I called to inquire about the discrepancy. I talked to one girl & was put on hold and transferred, without notice. The 2nd girl advised me to call my insurance company. So, I did. The insurance company called the office and we did a 3 way call. Becky, who handles the insurance and billing was beyond rude. I never raised my voice, yet she was screaming at me. I asked her why she was so hostile & angry. She accused me of talking over her, which I didn't do. I ended up hanging up on her because she was so out of control. I will never be back to this office, which is a shame because everyone was pretty nice. One bad apple can ruin the bunch. UPDATE.... I just received a call from Dr. Thousands office. The Dr. had heard about what happened and how I was talked to and treated. His office was overly apologetic. They have dealt with the employee, appropriately and made things right. I have never written a review before and I really appreciate this office, caring about me, as their patient and not being alright with how I was treated. This is truly a relief because like I stated, Dr. Thousand and his assistants, were amazing.

Considering what a horrible procedure this can be, every step of the process was clearly explained to me, the pre and post care was excellent, and the procedure itself went as well as as I could have hoped. While I hope to never visit them again for the remainder of my days, if I ever have a similar need, they will be the first company I reach out to.

I had the honor of needing a last minute root canal before going out of town (oh no!)…read moreDr. Popkowski and his team were able to get me in right away, same day. That alone was something I was SO grateful for. This was my first root canal and I was VERY nervous about getting it done. I feel like all the media I've seen about root canals had me terrified for the procedure. But wow, I felt like such a baby afterwards! Dr. Popkowski and his team were SO professional, kind, and reassuring. It didn't hurt at ALL! He knocked it out of the park getting me in and out within the hour. Doc also called that evening to make sure everything still felt okay, which was very personable! I didn't even have pain the next day. In fact, my mouth feels better than it has in a while! I had no idea how much that tooth had been bothering me. I say all this to say, wow - what a walk in the park! This group rocks and I couldn't be happier about my experience here. If I ever find myself in this position again, I definitely won't be nervous because I know I'll be in wonderful care! Thank you all!
