I've been going to Hope Cafe for years and really need to review this place. First of all, I absolutely love their take on breakfast sandwiches, or "sangwhich." They are on ciabatta bread and feature two house sauces- unbelievably delicious and not too heavy. Second, they have my favorite Nutella latte I have ever had. I have to admit that's the only kind I order (both iced and hot) so I can't comment on the other flavors but the Nutella one is addicting!! I really enjoyed my experience at the Hope Cafe Liverpool location last year and was excited to meet someone for lunch at this location, since that one has closed. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the same dish l had ordered at my last visit, the Chicharron Con Pan. The pork was very tough and the sweet potatoes were soggy. The iced horchata I had was delicious. Maybe they were having an off day, but this was a different quality of food than my last visit. read more

I love what they do at Hope Cafe. The owners are so nice as well as all the workers. Service is quick and consistent. They always create a comfortable ambiance so you feel you can stay and enjoy the space a bit, especially to chat and catch up with friends. The food is consistent and great quality. I love their breakfast sandwich with the sauces. I have tried some of their Peruvian dishes and they do not disappoint. Also, one of the few places I can get guanabana locally. read more

This was my first time at this new Hope Cafe. I knew it was in the works and am glad that I finally got to try it out. This location is close to the Everson Museum, the County Office Building, and much more. It's likely a 10-minute walk from Salina Street. So it's convenient! There is on-street, metered parking and - in this area - I prefer parking across the street in the 500 block of East Genesee. The interior has plenty of seating and is comfortable. I do think that they need a few more lights. There are lots of windows, so you can seat and watch the world go by. And in good weather, you can sit at a table outdoors. I can't tell if this has the same menu as the location in Liverpool. However, I had a very good breakfast sandwich with an emoliente. The person I ate with had a breakfast bowl and an emoliente. The emoliente is my go-to drink at Hope Cafe! Ordering ahead thru their app is an option and I noticed several people picking up orders to-go. All in all, I recommend this Hope Cafe! I think folks who work downtown should definitely give it a try! read more

Same amazing flavors as in Liverpool. Very cool decor and vibe. It's so nice in here! Service wasn't as fast as Liverpool, but still very quick compared to the other downtown sandwich/bagel spots. Literally 10 minutes quicker. Plus you can order ahead with the app. Love this newer location. read more

I ordered their chicharron "sanguich" and it was just delicious!!!! Very well packaged for delivery! I also got an empanada with aji de gallina (chicken empanada) and it was to die for!!! I stopped in at the downtown location for Hope Cafe a couple weekends ago before we jumped on the thruway to Rochester. When you walk in, it's spacious and cozy with lots natural light and a very photo-worthy spot to take a selfie across from the front door. The order counter is tucked away from the front door, so you kind of have to know it's there or see the line waiting if there is one! There is an order counter and then they bring you the food. The food came out very quick. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and pepperjack cheese. The buttery ciabatta bread is so good with the peppery and tangy sauces that are unlike anything I've ever had before. They do not recycle, though! Something my friend with me definitely did not like so I thought I'd share. read more

In Syracuse visiting my son. Just had an Arepa, maduros and a latte. This was best meal I've had all weekend. Hot, fresh, fast and friendly service. I walked by this place a few times over the last few days. It doesn't look like much from the outside but has a nice atmosphere inside. Will be my go to spot for future visits! read more

I never leave reviews anywhere, but I'm a restaurant owner and I have to shout out greatness. The food here is so kick-ass that it should be illegal.
