So Deb K and I decide it's time for our respective boys to meet. What better way to bring two random straight male strangers together than over wings at the international house of orange short shorts and boobies? Wow, did I just write that? I am dorkiest on Sundays I suppose . . . Anyway, considering it was only a few weeks into their opening and there were crowds spilling into the parking lot, we didn't have too long of a wait. Maybe 20 minutes? We met our cute, perky (in many ways) waitress and our night was off to a great start. The wings are definitely not as good as those at Wings Over Brookline, but they're still meaty and there are enough flavors and levels of spiciness to please anybody. We ordered a bunch of wings and me being the wimp in the group really enjoyed my mini order of Spicy Pepper Jack wings. The medium buffalo wings my companions had weren't bad either . . . I LOVE how you can pay an extra $1.00 per 10 wings to get just the drumettes. Those are definitely my favorite parts of the wing and no other place I have ever been to before has offered that!!!! The fried pickles were okay. I definitely wouldn't get them again. With 60 wings to share among 4 people, we kinda went overboard with food. Thank goodness nobody got a sandwich because we easily had half of our order of wings left over. Overall, the food was decent, the songs for bachelorettes and bday peeps were stupid enough to be entertaining, and the bright and big space will hopefully mean that this Hooters is here to stay. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, but since that is not possible on Yelp!, I'll give it a double pair of two's in keeping with the theme . . . BTW, girls, there are definitely dudes galore here. Before this place opened, I used to frequent Chili's. But now, a new champion has risen to the challenge- and that champ is in the form of skin tight shirts on 20 year old girls. The wings truly live up to their reputation; they are wicked good. It tasted different from the other wings that I usually eat, since Hooters' wings are more breaded and not spicy at all- almost like eating fried chicken. Nevertheless, amazing. Unlike the other Hooters locations that were open in the New England area (Boston, Nashua), this one actually has very attractive ladies! Remind me to bring one of these church going girls home for mother, she'd certainly approve! And the waitress "was really into me". She kept on "coming over and talking to me". I think "she wants me". Yeah. "She definitely wants me". "She just gave me that I want you look". Hooters girls know how to draw all your money from you (without contact), so just make sure you don't end up like Butters in South Park and think the girl digs you out of all the 300 customers she's served already. We spied the Hooter's sign across the highway this past Saturday and since it was the birthday of the only person in the group that liked women, he of course wanted to stop in for lunch. Since none of the other four people in the group had been to a Hooter's we were all curious. Just to describe our group it was the birthday boy, his girlfriend(bless her heart, letting her boyfriend go to Hooters...), a female friend, myself and my boyfriend. Yes, that means two women, two gay guys and a straight guy went to Hooters. I'm not sure if we got a few looks because of that or if we were younger than most of the other customers there(with the exception of the 8 year old boy who was there with his father...), but we were seated quickly. First off, the service was good. We weren't waiting long and waitresses were always happy and bubbly. And another point in their favor: they seemed to know that the only straight guy at the table was taken, and so the flirting which we saw rampant at the other tables was very low-key at ours. The food was about average. I personally liked the wings, and if we could've gotten them with the sauce a bit hotter(silly non-spicy food eating people we were with...) they would've been the best I've had in a while. Unfortunately the rest of the food was only so-so. The baked beans and the potato salad weren't very good and the sandwiches we all had weren't terrible, I can honestly say I've made better at home. It was mentioned to the waitress that it was someones birthday, and I've heard stories about what they do at other Hooters.... (one such story involved the waitresses placing stickers on the birthday-boy.... although the story-teller wouldn't tell me where those stickers were placed...) and I'm not sure if all those stories are just fantasies, or if the waitresses didn't know how to handle a guy there with his girlfriend, because they only gave our birthday-boy a signed menu. But the menu was priceless because the Hooter's girl sure know how to pun. My favorite birthday wish was "To a cutie, from a Hootie! Happy Birthday!" All in all, my first(and probably last) time in a Hooter's was a positive experience, even if most of it came from people-watching everybody else interact with the girls. Food is terrible. Then again, who comes here for food? I've had one decent item there, the boneless wings. They're tasty. Other than that I'd rather throw back a few and hit up some other place on the way home for grub. But really, judging a Hooters based on their food would be like judging a thrift store on the amount of name brand items they have. It just doesn't even factor in there. As someone else mentioned, they're actually quite good on the beer prices. This is one of the few places that isn't afraid to serve you a large Guinness. Not sure why other places shy away from doing so, but I'm glad they do. Ok, and what we're all here for...the scenery. I've only been here a few times and I don't know how many girls they employ, but it seems like I have never seen the same girl twice. Bar service is spotty, at best. Service isn't usually too bad and I'm not judging that on how the girl looked or whatever, they still have to be waitresses and be somewhat professional and they do that. The old location in Boston, as I recall, was awful in this regard. Best bet, I went there once during a snowstorm (it came down after we got there). Barely anyone there, so the service was awesome. This Hooters was clean, the food was great quality in comparison to other Hooters I have been too, the waitresses were lovely and the environment was very pleasant for a family. Went here on a spur of the moment trip with a few friends. We were immediately greeted by a manager who sat us on the most uncomfortable bar stools in the universe. They get to be EXTREMELY uncomfortable after waiting 45 minutes for appetizers. The waitress was COMPLETELY zoned out. She wasn't attentive at all. But if I worked at a degrading restaurant such as Hooters, I'd do likewise. The wings were pathetic. Large amounts of fried chicken fat can't hide the miniscule amount of salvageable meat on the small wings. In the fine print of all you can eat wings on Tuesday, it NEVER said you had to wait 30 minutes in between each serving. Keep in mind, it's Tuesday night at 10pm. It's not busy. My texas toast chicken strip sandwich was dry and tasteless. I'd expect more gourmet meals coming out a college dorm room than I would at Hooters in Saugus. I don't blame the waitresses (that much). Saugus is now the only Hooters left in the area after Boston, Salem, NH, and Nashua all closed up shop. My friends and I have made Hooters a once a week regular spot because they do a few different wing deals (w/o the deals the wings are kind of on the expensive side). Tuesday is all you can eat traditional wing night, Wednesday offers a boneless special on 10 or 20 wings, Thursday is all you can boneless wing night. They air a lot of UFC and WWE pay per views for either no cover charge or $5. With the exception of one time, the wings have been been great. My personal favorites are Hot and Habanero BBQ. Garlic Parmesan is really good only when they don't put too much sauce on them. Hooters Hot Sauce (on the table) is very similar to regular Tabasco sauce. Burgers have been very good, same with the chicken sandwiches. I can't speak for the shrimp or the salads since I've never tried them, but they're offered. For drinks, they have a ton of beers on tap, which is convenient. Bottled beer as well. The quality of mixed drinks depends on whoever is bartender. Sometimes they're weak and small, other times they're larger and taste great. Atmosphere is like a typical Hooters, which is good. Honestly why else would you go to Hooters? Their food? Hah. The all you can eat wings on Tuesday/Thursday? Yeah. The buttocks and breasts of females? Duh. I've been here about 4 times and each time was enjoyable I suppose. After catching a group of friends staring at the waitresses when they're not supposed to is a little entertaining I suppose. This place isn't made to serve you a salad or a filet mignon, it's to serve you plates like chicken or steak or ribs and let you stare at the TVs or to appreciate the human body. Ooo can't forget the beer and that stand of beer. Parking sucks here, whoever thought of the parking lot isn't really the brightest person in the world especially with all of the turns and awkward circles you have to take to get out of here or even to get into in the first place. I used to hate Hooters wings. With a passion. If it's wings you want, there are way better places. (I know, I know - it's more about the atmosphere.) However, I have recently changed my opinion after visiting this new location on Route 1. The wings were actually good! Please, get the hot wings. Don't settle for anything less. I think that may be the reason why I've hated their wings for so long. Atmosphere is the same as any other Hooters, but I've had nothing but good experiences so far (yes, I've already been a few times even though it's new.) This location should do better than the old one near North Station. FUN! I've been wanting to try Hooters for a while, especially since I saw it on Undercover Boss. I was fascinated at the amount of activity and people here. Yes, the girls are scantily clad... the men are drooling and its not just over the chicken wings... and there are LOTS of families here! My friends thought it would be cool to bring me to Hooters for my birthday and it was pretty fun. Surprisingly the girls didn't have that much "hooters" as they did booties. They should rename Hooters to "Booty's." Anyways, I was with a large group of about 15 and they made a reservation. We waited about 5 minutes before being sat down (we were early). The waitress took our drink orders. We did the big jugs or beer and I got a soda. It took a while to get our order taken but it was quite busy this Saturday night. My friends went ham and got tons of wings. When I say tons about 100 wings...though divided it is not that much. They got the tater tots, shrimp appetizer, bacon wrapped wings and nachos. I tried the bacon wrapped wings but the BBQ sauce overpowered the bacon. My friends loved the tater tots. I did not try them though. They devoured the nachos which I also did not try. They all hated the shrimp appetizer. Not sure why. I wasn't really feeling the unhealthy fried food so I got the 1/2 lb shrimp. It was actually very good. Seemed like I got more than 1/2 lb of shrimp too. The wings were good. Not bad. Not phenomenal. Hooters seems like a good place to go to watch sports. Girls, TVs, beer and wings. What could get better right? At the end of the night, since it was my birthday, they made me get up and dance like an owl on the chair...in FRONT OF THE WHOLE RESTAURANT! It was fun. This place gets four stars for the service. But that's their schtick, so they should get that right. All the girls rock and are pretty friendly, they got plenty of T.V.s for the games and its one of the few places you can see UFC matches local. But it's all about the food now isn't it... The wings suck. Seriously. I want them not to. But they do. The summer menu, fish tacos and southwestern egg rolls are awesome. Really awesome. The cheeseburgers are ok, a little greasy but the worst part is the buns are almost always stale. The blackened mahi sandwich is great, best thing on the menu in my opinion. Thank good the tackiness is back. The most amazing buffalo wings, tenders that America has to offers can be found at any one of their locations. Hooters was too packed for my birthday celebration due to the Red Sox v TB Rays ALCS game that night, but we were able to hit it up the next day for dinner. Wings were had....oh so good. I wish the location on Friends Street in Boston was still open so I can post game it after the Celtics. At least there is one back in the area since Boston, Salem NH and Manchvegas locations were shut down a few years back. I had the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato too while I was there. Ok so yeah, a friend and I went to this place a coupla days ago, and this shouldnt surprise anybody, but some of the waitresses are a little dim. We ordered a SA Octoberfest, the girl brought us back a Guiness. Now, I like Guiness (acutally, its closer to a burning obsession), but dammit, if you cant tell the difference between Octoberfest and Guiness, get a seeing eye dog. However, a 22oz. draft of guiness was only 5-6 bucks, so we didnt complain. In terms of the wait times, they can get a little ridiculous. Expect a 1-1.5 hour wait if you plan on watching a pats game. But at least you can watch the TV screens through the windows while a bunch of drunk frat boys start fighting next to you in the freezing cold. Everybody wins! In terms of the waitresses themselves, only about half of them I would consider attractive, the other half were sub-par. Ok, thats a little mean, but I have seen better (The hooters in Houston,TX?? Dear God, they should just rename that place Heaven). The wings themselves were pretty good (and cheap), and after a bill of only 33 bucks got two grown men full and drunk. My boyfriend and I went to this Hooters several weeks ago and will not be returning. The waitress that was supposed to be waiting on us scowled when we were seated and neglected to even say hello, after about ten minutes with no one coming over, one of the other waitresses talked to the girl and they were obviously arguing and finally the second waitress gave in and came to our table. She was very friendly and helpful, and, of course, attractive [especially considering most of the other girls, while definitely cute, all looked like they were 16. It was a little disturbing]. Our food took a while to come out, which was understandable since it was a busy night and we ordered the most popular item of all -wings- . However, what we received was almost-crispy chicken wings served in a pool of grease. Not a smidge, not a few little drips, they were swimming in fryer grease. We ate about half of them and couldn't handle anymore oil. The fried pickle chips were interesting, not something I would go out of my way for, but a unique and tasty item. Our waitress gave us our check and then went off to chat up a better-tipping table full of men drinking lots of Bud. We motioned to her, made it clear we were ready to leave, even looked down right annoyed in hopes she'd realize we were waiting for her. We waited with the check for a half hour, I'm not exaggerating. She had moved on to other tables and neither of us had cash and we didn't have any more time to waste, so we left. Two friends and I were on our way to Russell's Orchards in Ipswitch, MA when we saw Hooters. None of us had been and we all decided it would be the perfect place for dinner. I must say it was very anticlimactic. Hooters really is a family's establishment. I surely didn't believe it until now. We ordered fried pickles, sliders and wings with their House special sauce. Man, was that plate of fried pickles HUGE... it's the signature dish everyone raves out but it's just a bit too much to handle. I'd definitely pass on it next time and go for some fries. This is Hooters we're talking about. If you walk in not knowing what to expect, then you are pretty much as dumb as Paris Hilton. I liked Hooters when it was in Boston, near the Gahhhden, and I like it now still (actually, I like it *better* because it's closer to my house and it has parking). This one is new, so it's very nice inside, and CLEAN. You seat yourself when you go in. The booths are huge and will fit 6 people comfortably. The tables are spaced far enough apart that you can talk and not feel like other people are overhearing your conversation. There are 42" plasmas EVERYWHERE and they are always tuned into some kind of sporting event. This place really has turned into a sort of family restaurant -- there were a ton of kids there! The girls here are pleasant. They are friendly and don't have the attitude of some of the girls in the old Boston restaurant. The food is average. The wings are pretty good and they have many flavors to choose from. You can split up your wing order into different sauces, which is nice. The beer come in different sizes, or you can order a pitcher at a pretty reasonable price. The glasses for the soda is HUGE, which is nice (though the server gave me diet when I asked for regular. Yuck! She was apologetic and switched it out for me though). I just don't feel right giving this place more than three stars, because after all... it's *Hooters*. But, all in all, I enjoyed my experience and will probably be back when a wing or slider craving hits me. read more

OK, I'm not gonna lie: I like Hooters. It's not the ladies, or the atmosphere... OK yeah it helps, but it's not ALL about that. To be honest I forget that they're there half the time. It's the location and the deals. Every Tuesday they have unlimited wings for 11 bucks. Yeah. 11. It was awesome. I ended up getting 3 plates of wings, all with the 911 sauce, and shared some fries. And Wednesday's they have boneless wings and fries for something like $8. The waitresses have always been attentive here, and the location (for me, anyway... it's down the street about 5 minutes) is great. No longer must I drive 25 minutes to Buff's Pub and find street parking (note: I still do this anyway because their wings are just so good). Downsides? Well it is a bit expensive, to be honest. If you don't go on Tuesdays for unlimited wings, or Wednesdays for "Wings Day," then you're looking at like $12 bucks for some wings and fries. It's just too much money when you can go to a place like Buff's and get wings that are twice as good for a bit less. Lastly, the chicken just isn't THAT good. People rave about Hooters' wings, but I just don't see it. Yeah, it's good, but it's not REALLY good. The boneless wings are not very crispy, and the regular wings are a bit fatty. Compared to the other Hooters I've been to, this is perhaps the cleanest, most welcoming one. First of all, it is much larger than any other I've seen & it has TONS of tv's (perfect for watching an afternoon game). That said, was in here for lunch with another couple & had a great time. Yesterday afternoon we went out for a snack and some brews. We thought that Hooters would be a great place to chill and watch the game, we were not disappointed by our choice. When we arrived the house was packed but we were seated right away. We bought a buffalo sampler, onion rings, and curly fries. The sampler was great, and the onion rings were delicious as well. The drinks that we bought were perfectly chilled and the prices were cheap in comparison to other bars in the area. They had a ton on tap and also made some really unique drinks. The staff here was great, there were a ton of tables available so we didn't have to wait, and it was great to watch the NCAA game on the many TV's they have. The place is what it is - cheap beer, good fried food, and waitresses in shorts and tank tops. If you're looking for more then you are going to be dissapointed. This isn't a strip club nor is it fine dining but its a great place to hang out with the guys, watch some sports and drinks some brews. Some notes - They have the big 128oz pitchers for only $18. The chicken quesadilla was nothing to write home about but seemed to be the safest appetizer. The wings are mostly skin and bones so spend the extra couple bucks for the drumsticks. The 911 sauce isn't that hot and the Cajun seasoning is tasty but the saltiness is overwhelming after a while. I thought people were exaggerating about the orange shorts but they really are terrible. Service was fast and friendly nevertheless. read more
