We went during a Monday afternoon, which was probably the best time since we were seeking a "family…read morefriendly" lunch spot. There were more than a few day drinkers hanging around the bar and patio, but no one seemed inebriated. To be honest, though, I probably wouldn't bring my kids here on a Friday or Saturday night. It was obvious we weren't locals and even more obvious we were there to eat (not drink), but I did not feel at all uncomfortable or out of place. Our server (a blond barkeep) was super duper nice. She was friendly, pleasant, and chatty. She definitely enhanced our visit! And the food was totally awesome! It was our first time having poutine and I'm not sure it was standard (it had shredded cheese instead of cheese curds) but it was delicious! Like really really really good. The burger was juicy and thick. The fries were totally yummy. Kid #1 said the chicken parm sandwich was good, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Philly cheesesteak. The prices were totally reasonable, too! Definitely a bargain considering the decent price for excellent food! For sure we'd visit Cool Hand Luke's again!

This place has sweet locals in spades. But the food is just ok, and the beer selection is just mass-produced lagers. In all fairness, we didn't try the wings; we just had a bunch of appetizers. They were all fine, but they were most likely premade, frozen and then fried. The good news: the staff were great. Super friendly and helpful. Also, the bar itself was a cool, divey sports bar vibe. Totally ok if you're looking for a local watering hole. Not a great option for killer food.

We were greatly kindly when we first made our way into the restaurant. Our server took our drink orders right away. And within minutes we were assisted with our food order. All staff were polite and helpful. Kelsey's is great for family and friends. They have an excellent bar area, along with plenty of TVs to catch the current sporting event. We all work hard for our money, so I feel it's important to share an honest review about value. I…read moreordered the $25 Steak & Swiss sandwich and requested mashed potatoes with gravy. Looking at my receipt, the order was rung in incorrectly as fries. That single mistake meant my plate was taken back while my kids ate, and when it returned, the gravy was forgotten, requiring yet another trip for a side dish. There appeared to be about half a cup of mashed potatoes, and the sandwich was mostly fried onions with literally about two small pieces of beef inside. For Clifton Hill prices, the quality, portion size, and attention to detail just aren't there. I get this place one star. They know better so they should do better. Thanks Joel, but this generic response feels like a template rather than actual accountability. I hope management actually looks into the kitchen portioning and kitchen mistakes mentioned above so future families have a better experience.

Asked me what I wanted. I ordered a blue moon, which is nice that they put the orange slice in there. Some places don't but it was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the fish and chips and sat and watched some of the ball game on the big screen TVs, of which there are quite a few. I was a little surprised how long it took for the food to get there, when it did get to my table. The fish was very hot and the fries were a little higher than room temperature. But as you've went farther down into the basket they were warmer. I guess is they did the fries first and then the fish which normally should have been the other way around. The fish was pretty tasty except it was a little bit of soggy on the bottom, but they're tartar sauce is absolutely amazing. I would have given them five stars but the temperature of the food could have been better. Bottom line? I would definitely come back here again. It is super close to everything and is a great place to get some food.

We opted for the poutine and a half cheese/ half pepperoni pizza with our little yelper wanting her chicken fingers and fries. The poutine had a good amount of flavorful gravy and cheese curds, and the fries were thick cut and perfectly fried. Definitely above average fries. The pizza dough was a touch thin (lots of flop) but good sauce, good cheese and the cup and char Pepperoni was a welcome surprise. Chicken tenders were of good size and perfectly breaded and cooked. Right along with those thick fries Top notch service and good food

Second time around to this wonderful restaurant!! Where do I start ?…read more Food was once again excellent !!! Specifically my own meal. The squash ravioli was to die for ! Pasta done to the tooth ! Sauce complimented the pasta not overwhelmed it. I accompanied it an appropriate red wine and just a delightful experience. My husband had the steak sandwich (6oz). Steak done perfectly , and other then a little too much mayo it was also delightful. Our guest had chicken Alfredo with Linguine also a very delicious meal. Our guest had a pice of new York cheese cake for her birthday. It was very good , from the small nibble I tried. The service was once again amazing. TRAVIS Our waiter is a very friendly , well spoken and personable young man. He ironically was our server the first we were there and was just as delightful. 10 s up Travis !! The Ambiance was nice... not too loud and easy to communicate at the table with one another. My ONLY suggestion honestly ( and not."negitive") per se ... is a little extra cleaning in off hours. Window ledges ( as booths are along there) , lights above the tables and some attention to both bathrooms through shifts. We all know , when your as good as this restaurant the foot traffic can be heavey ! Anyhow... will be back 100% ! Thank you again for a great experience from some local residence !

We took my Dad to this place off Lundy's Lane…read more It offers traditional Pub Grub. The place looked like a converted Goodyear tire with the owners retaining the glass doors so they can expand on to a patio in summer. Our orders were : - Classic Ruben sandwich with house salad - 2 lbs of naked wings with onion rings - Wings & Ribs combo My spouse loved the Ruben. It came out hot and fast. There was plenty of meat and sauerkraut. The rye bread held it all together. The house salad was good too but my wife struggled to finish her sandwich so the salad was boxed. The tables beside us also ordered the Ruben and the salad was left untouched. My Dad had the wings and ribs. My Dad generally does not have lunch but all that was left was a pile of bones (ribs/wings). He really liked the meal. Mine was the 2 lbs of wings. I had mine naked with the sauce on the side. I had sweet chilli and BBQ. These wings are the jumbos. So while you might kit get 10 per lbs in the end you are getting closer to 2 lbs of meat vs bones. I really like their onion rings. My only complaint was the portion. Clearly fries gets you the most for your dollar. My only regret was they had sticky toffee pudding on the menu and crème Brulé which I also wanted to try. Next time.

We got there shortly before 5:00 on a Saturday, before the dinner rush, and were seated immediately. I'd say service definitely improved since their opening. Our waitress was very attentive & helpful. While eating, we also had someone else, possibly the manager, stop at our table to ask how everything was. I ordered the spices crispy chicken sandwich with a side salad. My husband got the Canadiana burger. We shared an order of poutine. First off. Portions were huge & brought home half the food. The chicken was as described, crispy. Though I didn't get much spice flavor. The cabbage slaw and aioli were the perfect toppings. The poutine order was more than enough for 2 people. They didn't skimp on the cheese curds. The gravy was OK. I thought it was interesting that the middle of the room was filled with recliner type chairs. You can get a drink and enjoy one of the many sporting events on their numerous screens. Overall, decent food and good service. There was a long line when we left. Massive menu of burgers, spanning a range of style from thick to smash, flames to griddle, and even typed of meat or non-meat. Quite frankly, if you can't find a burger that calls to you here, you must be very difficult to please. It was a Sunday, and the general area was thumping, this place was about half full and the vibe was relaxed. They're not on the absolutely main drag of Clifton Hill, and honestly, I would hope that benefits them both in price of rent and who might find it easy to wander in. There is paid parking nearby, cheaper than most because to get down to the falls is a bit of a hike. The hike back will be pretty far uphill, but we made it no problem. I love that the sodas come in a giant measuring cup, not much need for a refill, but they do give them complimentary if you ask for one. We started with standard poutine as an appetizer, it was really tasty. Nice flavor on the gravy, and a large amount of cheese curds. Instead of getting more fries as a side, went for a caesar salad. Was surprised to see bacon on it, but I definitely didn't hate that. It was quite good. I got a double smash burger with a nice thick onion ring on it and their version of burger sauce, as well as a spice relish to kick things up a notch. First thing, my patties were smashed very nicely, and there was a clear crispy crust on them. Bravo, I was pretty impressed, and the flavor was robust. I loved the spicy relish, and the bun also complemented the meat well. It was a big burger, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The service, maybe could have been slightly more attentive, but really just took awhile to take our order. Once it was taken, we had no complaints. Very friendly, everything was accurate, and like I said... big drink cups means not a ton of need for refills. I would come back here again on a future visit to the falls.
