We visited this location yesterday and it just wasn't very good. The service was fine but the food left a lot to be desired. The tots appetizer tasted like they had been freezer burnt and then fried. They barely had any bacon on them and just weren't that tasty. We both ordered the boneless chicken (all you can eat on Mondays-- which we found out through the menu) curly fries and cheese sauce. My chicken had to be sent back because I'm pretty sure it was still a little frozen. She took it back and they fried it again. It tasted okay after that but I just wasn't impressed at all. I ordered a chicken garden salad and received a buffalo chicken salad-totally different and NASTY with very little lettuce, what seemed like canned tomatoes and literal boneless wings sat atop the salad, not sliced or anything. In town for work, hit hooters for dinner and the Bruins game. Hooters chicken never fails, the bar tender was super nice. They put the game on for me and I enjoyed dinner, a drink and the game. I did hear some grumbling from customers and staff about the hostess being mia and people waiting to be seated, bad image, but I had no issues at the bar. read more

It took about 7 min for someone to come up and recognize that we had even walked through the door. Once we were finally acknowledged the manager explained to us that he was going to have problems seating eight of us, almost as if we should go somewhere else. We then asked him if he didn't want our business to which he said that it would be a minute. This is when we should've left, but we didn't. It took about 15 minutes before we were seated. Once we were seated it took about another 20 minutes before they took our order and this time the cook from the back came up loudly asking for help in front of everybody in the restaurant. It gets better...the family that is sitting across from us didnt even get their food. After a conversation with the manager, they end up leaving without dinner. Horrible slow slow slow service. When we complained to the manager she said the kitchen staff was inexperienced. She then said she would check on the food and disappeared. When we had enough and got up to walk out our waitress told us the food was "right up" and would be out right away. Guess what, that too was a lie. She brought out one plate and we had to wait for the rest. To "compensate for this horrible service" the manager comped us $3.55 on a $50.00 bill. Not enough to even buy a beer. How insulting. After picking up some supplies, I wanted a quick round of wings to take home. After waiting for 40 minutes for my order (I was reading the newspaper), still nothing showed up. After asking for the manager, Ericia Mello (the general manager) spoke to me in a very degrading and unprofessional manner. She spoke purposefully in a belligerent tone (So that others could hear) and implied that I was racist. Her overall demeanor was more like that of a teenager rather than a manager. I can't give them one star because they aren't the worst. However... The food isn't that good and pricey. I agree with Brett G. about the food tasted greasy and left a bad taste, so you need a beer to wash in out of your mouth. The "Hooters staff" are by no means remarkable in any way. Most of the waitresses were not attractive or endowed, so if you're going there for the reputation, don't. Like others who have rated this location, when I went in, the place was relatively empty and the servers were busy talking with themselves, and I had to wait for someone to finally come and take my order. Management seems to be absent. Down Houston Road in Florence, there are plenty of better places with better atmosphere, better food, better servers, and better value for the dollar. Cold beer. Great service. The food was the worst I've ever eaten at a Hooters. The clam chowder was rancid. I had to spit it out. Everything fried tasted like the grease was very old or had been scorched. Thank goodness we had sliders or we would have been forced to go eat some where else after we left. At least five girls on the clock with an empty room(no customers) and it still took ten minuets for the waitress to come over and ask what I wanted to drink. I wasn't given a menu either. Got "the perfect patron Rita" it wasn't worth the money (9.75) for maybe a 8oz glass of mostly mixture than patron. Took 25 minuets after I ordered for me to get my food which was just a hamburger and fries. My first time ever stepping into a Hooters I wasn't sure what to expect. I went on a night when there was a UFC fight on so they were packed. We waited to get seated which took about 15 minutes. The hostess was friendly but not very organized. Once we got seated our waitress did a great job and was very friendly and professional. The beer was cold and delicious. We got a generous portion of nachos and they were very tasty. One thing I did not like, was the waitresses were forced to "cover up" their tattoos and it did not look good! You can clearly see their tattoos under the makeup and it makes it even more obvious and distracting. Overall it was a pretty positive experience. read more

Let me start by saying that I know this is "Hooters" and I am not expecting a gourmet meal and fine linen with fancy silverware. What I do expect: Good bar food, Cold beer, Good service and a clean restaurant. My wife and I have been going to Buffalo Wild Wings since they came on the scene a few years back, but we decided to give Hooters in Florence a chance "for old times sake". Upon entering we were greeted and sat immediately as there was hardly anyone there. The restaurant did look very clean and orderly. Our waitress took about 10 minutes to finally come to our table. I ordered a dozen oysters and a Corona as an appetizer, wife ordered a salad and a Pepsi. When my oysters came it was 6 oysters shucked with the empty top half of the oyster representing the other 6 out of the dozen. Once our waitress dropped the oysters off she took off and disappeared. I didn't want to start eating so I could show her that there were only 6 oysters and 6 empty shells. So I waited on her to come back. Finally she reappears and I questioned her about it. She has no clue so she got the manager. The manager said that it was a mistake and that the cook had never shucked oysters before. The manager corrected the mistake and got me the other 6 oysters. Once again our waitress has disappeared. It seemed like all the waitresses would go into the souvenir area for long periods of time. Once again the restaurant was almost empty, I would say 30% capacity. I couldn't understand why all the traffic from the waitresses in the souvenir area without any customers buying Hooters memorabilia. Finally our waitress comes back to our table...my Corona has been empty for 15 mins and we were ready to order wings. Ordered wings and new beer....10 mins later waitress comes back to table without beer or wings. I ask for a Corona again...she acknowledges and I see her slip into the souvenier area. I wait a few minutes and then head to the bar (next to the souvenir area) to order the beer myself. I see her and a few other Hooters waitresses inside souvenir area chatting with each other and several on their smart phones. Mystery solved. She looks up and sees me at bar puts her phone down and runs out to ask me what I need. I say I want the Corona I ordered. She says "ohh I am sorry I forgot". I am pissed at this point. She gets the Corona and shocker...disappears again. I am ready to just leave. A different waitress brings out our wings...we ate 4 of them, boxed up the rest, asked another waitress to bring our check. Our original waitress brings our check and is clueless as to why we are leaving. The wings were actually really good, and the manager squared away the oyster mistake. The manager also changed a several T.V.s for us so we could watch what we wanted. No one objected to us changing the channels...Once again hardly any Customers on a Sat night... even with a UFC pay per view going on. I wanted to stay for the entire UFC fight and have a good time but with that kind of service i was done for the night. Positives: Clean, Cold beer. Wings were good. Negatives: Our Waitresses was unattentive and on her phone in the Souvenir area or busy chatting with other waitresses. The "cook" had never shucked an oyster makes me a little apprehensive to order seafood....am I the 1st one to order oysters? how fresh are these if no one else is ordering them? I don't come often. Matter fact once every couple of years to be frank. Unfortunately for me nothing has changed. The wings are still decent but everybody now a days sells wings. The problem is the service. The servers are cute too look at (some anyways) but depending on what you look like determines the level of service. This is hooters and this is Kentucky, so I will preface this by saying my expectations are not that of a 5 star establishment. Tonight my husband and I swung in for a bite to eat and we noticed 2 waitresses (ours included) were sitting at the table across from us quite a bit, where 2 men, who had been drinking quite a bit, were posted up. Towards the end of the meal one of the men tells one of the waitresses 'well if you want cocaine, you're in the right place, because there's cocaine everywhere'. Needless to say we spoke with the manager, paid our bill, left and immediately phoned the police. I hope the health department as well as police lock this nasty trash into a battle for their livelihood. If you are in the mood for wings, quaker is just up the road behind the mall and buffalo wild wings in directly in front just behind the bank, unless drugs are your thing. read more

What to even say about this exact Hooters..... I'll start with the volume of the music. On the exact night we went it was turned up way to loud. I could barely talk to my husband let alone hear what I myself was saying. I get it , it's Hooters. But it is not a night club. So it would probably be best turned down a bit so we can all hear the music yet carry on a conversation without literally shouting. Next issue, I ended up ordering a bacon cheese burger. I've had one at the San Diego Hooters... It was perfection. So I was hoping for the same results. Haaaaa. What a joke. My burger came out dry as can be... No flavor. And the meat was falling apart it was so over cooked. So I just ate my fries. Our waitress ( who would often go MIA for long periods of time) offered me a new one but I declined. She explained the cooks really stink and had been making mistakes all day. So I assumed that means all day...... Everyday. She also mentioned they'd take it off the bill. Not to long after the manager came by. He offered to re cook it for me but I again declined. He then listed a few things he could do for me. Including a free beer on the house.... Which when I took that offer he explained he shouldn't even do but it was his last night so he didn't really care. I got a free beer which sort of made up for it. But if even the manager points out how horrible the cooks etc are it doesn't give me hope now that he is gone it'll get better. If you come here I suggest sticking to deep fried items only and the alcoholic beverages. Who knows how the cooks will do with anything that involves actual effort. I have been to many Hooters restaurants before, and they have all been good, quality food. But, this particular location has some of the worst service I have ever seen. Our waitress was completely incompetent.....In fact, that may be kind. We were told to seat ourselves, then asked to move by the manager so they could seat a larger party there. To his credit he did offer to comp our appetizer, but it was never actually taken off our bill. I had to bring it up to our waitress, and she gave me an attitude about it, as though I was bothering her. We waited 15m after we asked for our bill, she passed by our table 3 or 4 times, as we waited patiently, I finally stood up and acted like I was getting ready to leave.....that got her attention real quick.
