Went up here with my husband to watch the UFC fight since we had called ahead and were told it would be on. We waited for an hour and fifteen minutes to be seated and we still weren't seated when the preview fights went off. We asked the hostess twice to ask about the UFC fight and she never did so I went and politely asked the manager that caught an attitude with me. We were in a bind today when a catering company cancelled an hour before a veteran picnic event for Memorial Day. I am sooo thankful someone suggested Hooters! I called before they opened and they fired up the grill to have 400 wings ready for our group of 125 members of VFW Post 1 and Auxiliary Post 1 in 20 MINUTES! Not only did they come through with the food, but Lenny and his team (Ronnie, Miranda & Nelly) helped sort out and provide all the utensils, plates, sauces, paper towels, etc EVERYTHING we needed. The way they stepped up and helped this group of veterans and their families in a pinch was amazing! They kept saying, "whatever you need we've got you!" What a great group of humans who care! I am personally thankful and I know VFW Post 1 & Auxiliary Post 1 is also thankful. It was great food & everyone was happy! A few of us came back for a drink and to personally thank the Hooters team after the event. Even then, they were short handed and busy but still had smiles on their faces and were truly serving their customers. Please support them when you can! I know me and my veteran family will definitely show support whenever possible. You truly saved the day today! Memorial Day is hard on our service members and families. I just brought home some clam chowder about 30 minutes ago and just found a piece of plastic at the bottom of my clam chowder bowl!!! I have no idea where or what it came from, but it looks like it broke off from something. It's about an inch long and whitish yellow in color. What if I had accidentally swallowed it!? They renovated the place here recently, I think its much better now it feels more open and the lights are a little more dim so it doesn't feel so bright and loud in there anymore, also the outside area is alot bigger as well. I'm not happy.. Upon entering Hooters, the waitress asked me if I needed a table, I told her I wanted to place a takeout order.. She says: have a seat at the bar, someone will be right with you.. She just dropped them off.. I checked to make sure the order was right.. She took my money and brought back the change and left it on bar.. She didn't count it... She had moved on.. The service here was good although our server didn't really have a clue on what seasonal beers they had, and apparently they didn't serve Blue Moon in a pitcher, only on certain days, but whatever. After running back and forth we were finally able to enjoy a ginormous mug of our iced cold Blue Moon which was all that mattered. The wings are good and they added a few new flavors to making it that much more difficult to decide which ones to get. I wouldn't recommend the lemon pepper, found it rather too salty. Their new triple dog dare is the spiciest flavor they had and packs quite a punch!
