I boughtban Echo SRM-2620T weedeater about 2 years ago, for some reason it stopped running. I took it back to Hootens for a tech to look at it. When dropping it off the guy behind the counter acted like i was bothering him. 4 days later they called me saying it couldn't be repaired. They said it didnt have enought oil in the gas mixture and scratched the cylinder. I went back to pick it up and the weedeater was in parts in a bag. I only buy pre mixed Stihl or Husqvarna fuel. I went home to put it back together and found out that it doesn't have spark. I will fix it myself. Poor customer service! read more

We've been shopping at Hooten's for some years and have nothing but positive experiences. Generally, the products seem to be higher quality, and thereby longer lasting, than the big box stores. Yes, we have called on the phone and been put on hold. They do as we do in our business...the live customer standing in front of us gets first priority. I have loved this store in the past, but I had an awful experience today with poor as well as completely rude customer service. There were plenty of employees to take care of customer needs...they just didn't seem to want to be bothered, and one even ignored me when I tried to ask a questioned. I have shopped at this place a few times over the years, when I moved here in 2015. They are reasonably close to my house and the selection is okay, but during a recent visit I was caught off-guard by the pro-trump area where you can buy that type of campaign swag. Don't get me wrong anyone can vote for who they wish, but when I'm looking for home improvement stuff, I am not interested in a "political section" from EITHER party. There is too much political stuff going on right now and that is a far cry from what I am looking for at a home improvement store.
