I won't elaborate too much on the Lakers, Kobe, and his daughter because everyone would be aware of the essence of this place. The mural of Kobe and his daughter smiling beautifully captures the power of love between father and daughter. The court floor is painted in yellow and purple, matching the Lakers' theme perfectly. What an inspiring and grateful gift to the community. Lucky you, Anaheim! There's a glass backboard on each side of the basketball hoop. The floor is made of plastic material similar to beer bottle racks, making it non-slippery and great for safety, especially when performing ankle-breaking crossover moves. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 despite it being stunningly beautiful and the only full court available. The issue is that when groups of 10 show up, smaller groups get pushed out with nowhere else to go. After shooting around for a few minutes at half court, my son and I were forced to move aside when 10 people suddenly decided to play full court. This is a public court, so I don't mind sharing. However, with no other full courts in the area, we had no choice but to step off. I would have loved to reserve the next game, but we were there for my son's practice, so the timing wasn't right. Maybe next time we'll join in for some 5-on-5 with the older crowd!

He saw the potential in him & still does. Robert introduced my son to a more competitive basketball game. He taught my son about becoming the student of the game & helped him understand the mental as well as physical aspects it would take to become a player at the next level. Robert laid the foundation for the player he has become today. Robert can be tough but expects the best from his players and meets them at their level. Robert's love for coaching is evident. He has a big heart for the next generation of basketball players!

He was able to inspire and keep her motivated during a time when she wasn't totally sure she wanted to continue playing basketball. He motivated her to work hard and persevere to achieve skills and confidence not only in playing basketball but outside the court as well. He taught her the skills she needed to be successful playing high school basketball and we are so grateful for that. He is inspiring and you can truly tell he has a passion for not only basketball but for sharing that with the people he is training. If you are looking to help your player grow their skill level and love for the game Coach Cole and his training is what you need. Thanks Robert once again for all your hard work!

5 stars for a nice rubber track!…read more As an active walker/ runner, I am regularly seeking parks with a track. This was a serendipitous find on the way home from work. Features - The park has ample parking, 1 basketball court (which is also used for pickleball), 2 fitness zones with 10+ different workout equipment , park benches, coal pits, soccer field, padded track, and children's play area. It is very well maintained / clean and the biggest bonus is the rubberized track for me. There's also doggy poop bags too, in case you're walking your dog and forget! You can easily find walkers at 7am here which provides a relatively safe exercise environment. The only possible drawbacks I see is - 1) there is minimal shade, and 2) it is right by horse sables (it is next to the horse race track) 3) the track is relatively small (less than 0.5 miles a lap).

My only complaint is the playground is truly geared for older kids 2.5-3years + older. I feel with such a large project, the city of Cypress could have added a few other features to make it friendly for under 3yr olds - it's literally only 1 small slide for the littles - no steering wheel to drive, or any features to fidget with, or twist, turn, pull or other. I guess it was the last thing in their budget. All in all, it is a huge upgrade to the city of Cypress and we love walking here and that they have doggy bags for when our pupp finds a couple potty spots.

I was looking for an indoor court that wasn't too expensive and near the Hacienda Heights area so I thought this fit the bill. The reason for my 3 star review is based on the value/cost of this gym. I paid $48 for an annual membership but was told there's an additional $3 fee each time I come for the 'open gym' just to shoot around. I asked if there was another sort of "Annual pass" to save on this $3 fee but was told that the management is working on something like this. The closest thing they had to offer was a 10-pack of open gym passes for $27. A whopping $3 savings - I guess it's better than nothing but seems like a waste of effort in marketing something with such a small discount to customers. So I've only attended one open gym so far, I'm $75 in the hole and to add insult to injury, the actual courts are pretty dusty and, like other reviews mentioned, there are several dead spots (at least on the middle court where I played). I've played at the Hawaiian Gardens (Robert Lee Rec center) gym where it's only $50 for an annual membership (no additional fees) and the floors are much cleaner and the overall condition of the gym/courts is better so I feel like I'm being ripped off. I'll continue coming here (for the remaining 9 passes I have), hoping to find some open runs and maybe cleaner courts. But for my first impression of this place (just for open gym - can't speak to other programs here), this felt like a big letdown and I would advise management to prioritize cleaning the floors more often (I saw at least one custodian emptying fairly empty trash cans. I feel like their time would be better invested in a simple wiping of the floor - 15 minutes tops per court).
