My daughter started here at 3 years old. She loves it and Sensei Ayraton is so great with small children! She was also so patient with us during the enrollment process and communicated very well when I had questions. read more

Not only that my son's confidence sky rocketed in just a few months, he is also more knowledgeable about the values we try to teach him. Values like discipline, integrity, respect and many more. Longevity makes sure that the values go hand in hand with their Kempo training. Within a few months, he strengthened his muscles and became more focused. I also appreciate the Senseis/teachers who have the utmost patience on guiding our little ones. They never make your kiddos feel inadequate, instead, they strive to teach the kids that there's so much more they can do. As a parent, I truly appreciate this place. There's no question or concern they take lightly. They are always there for both students and parents. My reserved kid now thrives better both in Kempo classes and outside - all thanks to Longevity. read more

My daughter has been coming here for over 3 years now and it all started with a trial class where she got to break boards. Previously, she was going to a dojo that unfortunately never reopened after COVID. I went on Yelp to browse places in the community, and Longevity offered a trial class unlike other places I inquired about. Aside from my daughter enjoying the classes, she has been taught important lessons - not only within martial arts but lessons that she could incorporate outside of the dojo. Master Handley and Sensei Ayraton are very friendly and have been supportive throughout the years my daughter attended. Fast forward to today, my daughter also helps out with the younger kids classes as part of their STORM program. read more

When my son first started karate, he was beyond anxious. He's naturally a little ball of anxiety and has always struggled with self-confidence, so starting something new felt overwhelming for him. Before enrolling, we visited the dojo just to tour the location and help ease his nerves. We are so incredibly thankful that Sensei Ayraton took the time to personally give him a tour and gently reassure him before his first class. That meant more to us than she probably realizes. On the day of his first class, my son cried and was extremely anxious. Instead of pushing him, Sensei Ayraton allowed him to simply watch and get comfortable at his own pace. That patience and understanding made all the difference. By the next class, he was ready to slowly ease in. Since then, my son has grown so much. He now loves karate and looks forward to every session. I've watched his self-esteem and confidence grow week after week, and it has been such a blessing to see. We are beyond thankful that we found this dojo. Sensei Ayraton truly takes the time to get to know both the kids and the parents, making everyone feel welcomed and at home. I also love that they focus on teaching discipline, self-control, respect, and so many other important life skills. We couldn't recommend this dojo more highly! read more

We don't find other karate/ninja's class for as young as our daughter's age. She started when she turned 3. This is a small size dojo. Attention given to each kid are amazing. We love our new sensei. Sensei Archie. His method of teaching, connection, disclipine, attentiveness are on point. We sure do believe how much kid need disclipine and understanding in hard work. They do need it nowadays. BBK does free trial session to make sure if the class is the best fit for your child. We love BBK read more

My sons attended classes here through the Parks and Recreation program through the city. We only had a few lessons and all I can say is the teacher was amazing. She was very caring with the students. Her knowledge of the curriculum was solid. She tailored her teaching to the needs of each student. We have also attended another local martial arts program. That program was karate for the masses, it had after school care etc. That program didn't compare to this one. This program is solid. read more

I'm a high school teacher, and so I'm always sensitive to teaching practices. Sensei James is an incredible educator, which shows in his ceaseless patience, constant encouragement, calm discipline, and behavioral standards. My daughter began training with Sensei James when she turned five years old. I say "training" because that is the most accurate term I can use for such a professional and organized curriculum; she learned how to do (real) push-ups, sit-ups, the splits, and more, which all contributed to her being such a strong athlete. Seriously. I never thought my child would be so buff at this age. Also, there have been two occasions at school when a boy on the playground has tried to physically overpower her, and she used the self defense techniques that were taught to her in order to defend herself and get away. She didn't even think about it; the defense she used was automatic due to all the training by Sensei James. A year and a half later, we are still with Black Belt Kids. My daughter is on her way to earning her double stripe black belt. Her timid voice as a five year old has been replaced by a powerful and confident tone that doesn't tolerate any bullying. As a parent of a little girl, that's all I wanted to be instilled in her (and my main reason for enrolling her in karate), and I'm so grateful that Sensei James was conducive to creating that strength in her. read more

My 10 year old just started Karate for the first time. At first he was hesitant about doing Karate, but just after the first day of class ... now he really looks forward to seeing Sensei James. Sensei James has a ton of patience with kids and is thorough on how he gives instructions. 100% worth every penny spent here. read more

Master Handley and Sensei Schmidt offer a safe place to explore martial arts. I found the Fullerton location through the City of Fullerton Parks & Rec. It can be intimidating trying to learn something new as an adult. Martial Arts has been something I've been wanting to try. The friendly instructors have been encouraging in helping me reach goals. The facilities are nice & clean and the classes are a good small size, which makes it comfortable to learn in. I recommend this place! read more

Sensei James is wonderful with kids! My son has been training here since they opened. He has learned very quickly and gets a great workout! This literally is the best studio to bring your kids to. Always clean and always greeted with a warm welcome! Sensei is patient and kind and the kids have a lot of fun! read more

This is such a wonderful martial arts studio for kids. My son is in the 5-6 year old class. Sensei James is fantastic with kids and has done a great job of creating a martial arts curriculum that is fun and holds even small children's interest. He is very patient and warm but still expects a developmentally appropriate level of discipline and focus. It's already made a positive impact on my son after just a couple of months. read more

My daughter absolutely loves it here! She's always struggled with contact sports like soccer and I was nervous she'd be scared. It has been the complete opposite! Her confidence has grown since starting and she loves going to every class! read more

Our daughters have been taking karate here since it opened a couple years ago. We are super happy with BBK. I tried out a larger karate dojo before finding this one and wasn't thrilled about how crowded and chaotic it was. This is a smaller dojo where the kids get way more one on one instruction. The sensei is the perfect blend of encouraging, patient, and strict. Our daughters have learned so much and have grown stronger and more confident. read more

I'm so happy my 5 year old grandson takes lessons here! He has the typical high energy of a boy, but Sensei James has wonderful patience and works so well with the kids. I highly recommend this club! read more

My son would have never been open to martial arts if it wasn't for Sensei Ayraton and Longevity. The small and intimate classes are perfect, and the curriculum is tailored for each of the students. We've noticed a great improvement with our 4-year old's overall confidence, obedience, and kinesthetics since joining Longevity. Highly recommend! read more

I could not be happier with Sensei James and Black Belt Kids. We've been participating for just about a year and the change I've seen in my son's strength and balance has been amazing. It's a small dojo and I like the warm, welcome feel we get. It's been a wonderful introduction to karate and we look forward to continuing. I would recommend this Dojo to anyone who would like their child to have a wonderful start in karate. read more

I have had my son 9 and daughter 5 in classes here for the past year and a half and they are both still motivated and having fun. It is the best karate program tailored for kids I have ever seen. You can tell they designed it with child development in mind. Sensei James is great with the kids and remarkably patient and effective. read more

Black Belt Kids is a superb program for kids! I went to the typical karate program when I was a kid and I was in the same program as adults. BBKs is much better in my opinion because it's structured just for kids by their age group. Sensei James has amazing patience and I've seen my son grow by leaps and bounds in a short time. I can't wait for my 1 year old daughter to start at Black Belt Kids once she's old enough (in about 3 years). read more

My family LOVES this place. My kids are always asking me " can we go to taekwondo today!" Am not surprised, sensei James is really good with kids. He has a great balance of understanding that kids need encouragement when learning something new, while still correcting bad behaviors on the spot. The studio is clean and cozy too! read more
