We absolutely love Hoops413! Coach Miguel has built such an amazing team league for all kids! Our daughter has been playing for 3 seasons, and we couldn't be more proud to be part of the Hoops413 family! I can't even begin to say how amazing Coach Kaitlin ( the heart of the league) is. She has been instrumental in our daughter falling in love with the game. And to the high school coaching staff , they are the most amazing , mature, responsible young men you could have coaching your kids! The entire Hoops413 organization is family to us, and we can not thank them enough for what they have built and created!

The 2019 Summer Basketball Camp is upon us, the Hoops 413 Training Camp is so much FUN for ages 2 to 12 held outdoors

We enrolled our 3 yr old boy into the Summer Developmental Basketball League held Saturday Mornings for 30 mins from 9:30am to 10am. It is the perfect time, early enough to kick-start your day and leave you with the remainder of the Saturday to do other activities. It's also an outdoor Basketball training camp, so it's early enough where it's not too cold nor not too hot and the weather is perfect for the kids. Miguel runs an organized system, it's focus at this age is to build the fundamentals and foundation of the skills within the sport and sportsmanship among the players. Coach Kaitlin is an excellent teacher and instructor of the children. She makes sure every child gets attention and the opportunity to build their skills. They supplied nice generic colored jerseys which were light weight for the Summer, perfect to put over day-clothes, which you get to keep as part of your enrollment. They also have an awards ceremony at the end of the season where every child gets the same certificate and a high quality metal medal medallion to wear with pride. This was is great experience overall as an introduction to Basketball, and Hoops 413 continues cultivating the skills of players as they develop and age, with other age grouped categories for training. I think the sweet spot to start your child into Basketball is between 3-4 years or (or older) where they can listen and follow directions, mimic motion and action and have the patience to participate. Our son wasn't the greatest player, but he had a great time every week, so that's what's most important. He looked forward to and enjoyed this program. This training camp school was held at Valor, and has really easy parking on the streets or the parking lot. We've enrolled in various other Basketball activities, including indoor, but Hoops 413 was our son's favorite, due in large part to "Coach K" (Kaitlin) and the system with the lowered basketball hoop net and backboard as well as the smaller ball, perfect scale to the size of toddlers and young children. It's definitely worth looking into if you're considering this for your child. Hoops 413 was just honored by winning the 2019 Best of Redondo Beach award in the Camp category

Where do we even begin?! If you're looking for a program that facilitates experiences for your child to fall in love with the game, learn fundamentals, and boost their basketball IQ, Hoops413 coaches go above and beyond with heart. As parents, exploring the club basketball world and coming from a family of athletes, Hoops413 was just the program we needed for our 8 year old. We signed our son up for both the beginner and elite session because you can never have too much practice of the fundamentals. Our son had fun and always looks forward to "Saturday's with Hoops413" Our son has learned so much in a 8 week session and continues to learn through private sessions with Coach Miguel and Coach Kaitlin. One thing that sticks out from other programs is the family feel environment. Hoops413 doesn't just talk the talk of being a family oriented program, they exude the energy of heart, positivity, and inclusiveness of all ballers from different experiences. The AAU/club basketball world is pretty cutthroat and Hoops413 was a breath of fresh air because their program goes back to the heart of basketball: fundamentals, teamwork, skills, and basketball IQ. We can definitely say that Hoops413 is part of our family now. When you find coaches that click with your child and authentically and genuinely works through the process, magic happens! Thank you Hoops413! #ProcessOverProduct

I have driven past this park location on several occasions and always wondered about it. I always see local people walking about no matter when I pass by. To my surprise, parking was easy and free. It was also dog friendly which I appreciated. What I had no idea about was how well designed this park was until I stepped foot in it. It has two playground areas, bathrooms, grassy fields for people to play some sports, and a well paved and well marked trail with mile marker to exercise on. It has a moderate up and down hill as well as shaded trees to keep cool and comfortable. WOWza, I thought! And it's so clean inside!! Essentially, you can walk about 2 miles if you do 4 laps. Or a whole mile if you walk 2 laps. I think I can actually do 6 laps only because it was such a nice urban escape and people were polite. The dogs were also having a good time too and at no point I had to worry about some rogue dog owner with their unleashed dogs or something. 10/10 would return again in the future. What a gem of a neighborhood park this was!

If you have a tiny one, I still would be cautious about the play structure in the smaller playground area. I went down the slide with my toddler, and I almost fell mostly because it was so fast. Playground sets are probably geared for older kiddos, rather than toddlers. The swings are super squeaky, and definitely could use some WD-40. All of the play structures could definitely use some tender love. I love how diverse people who are here and everyone seems pretty friendly.

0 stars if that were an option!!!!!…read more Shoot 360 Torrance completely ruined my friend's children's 15th birthday celebration (twins!) on 1/31, and the way they handled it was beyond unacceptable. The manager, Andreas Forslund, explicitly told my friend that although the original party slot was 2-4 PM, we could stay until 6 PM because there were no other events scheduled. Based on that assurance, food was ordered, guests were invited, and families planned their afternoon around that timeframe. At 4:20 PM, a man who had booked the venue for 4:30 PM approached our party raising his voice, aggressively demanding that we leave. This happened in front of guests and children. Shockingly, Shoot 360 staff did absolutely nothing to intervene or de-escalate the situation. They allowed this man to continue yelling at our group. We were then forced to pack up immediately!!Guests were sent home without eating, and the cake wasn't even cut. The families literally left hungry. The celebration was abruptly ended with zero notice, despite what the manager had promised. Only after the damage was done did Andreas Forslund state that the general manager rented out the space without his knowledge. That internal miscommunication is not the customer's responsibility! Yet we were the ones who paid the price. To make matters worse, my friend was not reimbursed despite them completely ruining an important milestone birthday. This was an embarrassing, chaotic, and heartbreaking way to conduct business. Poor communication, no accountability, no customer care, and no respect for families or children. Do not book parties here. If something goes wrong, they will not protect your event or take responsibility.

The facility overbooked and, because of their mistake, our party was kicked out before we could even cut the cake or eat. To make matters worse, when another family arrived, the man from the incoming party yelled at us to leave because "his party was starting." Staff did nothing to stop this behavior, which felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. The situation felt discriminatory and unfair, especially since we were treated as if our celebration didn't matter at all. Management, including Andreas Forslund, was informed of what happened, yet no action was taken--no apology, no reimbursement, and no credit offered. This was supposed to be a joyful, memorable day for the twins, and instead it turned into a stressful and humiliating experience. Based on how poorly this situation was handled, I do not recommend this place to anyone planning an event or expecting respectful customer service.

Aviation Park - Enjoying the track!

Great park. Here's why. Let's jump right into this review…read more Aviation Park is located on the same lot as the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. The park offers a track and field. Soccer goals are locked up and only accessible for teams playing a game. But, you can bring portable goals to use. There is exercise equipment on the back end next to the Restrooms. Park is FREE to use, well-lit at night, plenty of FREE parking, and safe. The park can get busy - usually with sport teams practicing and people walking or running around the track. Even during peak times, there is space for all - this has been my experience. Depending on what you are coming to the park to do, finding space on the field is not impossible. The field may be occupied by sport teams practices or games occurring, however, the ends/cornere of the field are great options to run drills and practice solo or with a small group. I have seen people doing soccer and football drills while a soccer game is going on. Overall, I recommend this park. The location, amenities access (turf field & soccer goals), and unkeep are golden in my opinion. People walking and/or running around the track are courtesy and respectful of space.

I have been coming to this track for about 3 years and I have seen some changes. Great track…read more However, people that are there for the soccer players have no respect for the Walkers or runners on the track. I am a runner and 90% of the time I have to keep dodging soccer spectators that are standing in the middle of the track. This weekend was a bit different, both soccer teams decided to place half of their team tent blocking the 1st and 2nd lane. Therefore walkers and runners were limited to just two lanes. This was very uncomfortable for many runners. The posted signs and staff needs improvement and maybe people will start to respect the track a bit more.
