He adjusted the shoulders, chest, sleeves, lapels, which required him to move every single button. It was literally a completely different suit. And for the first time, it actually fit the way it should. Since then, I've gone back for five custom suits, multiple shirts, and my favorite, an overcoat (which I'd avoided for years because of off-the-rack fit issues). My posture is very upright and that just makes the chest issue even more difficult. There aren't many places in the US outside of New York that do real bespoke -- patterns cut from scratch. I'm glad I found Gabriel. He has a great understanding of classic men's style and proportions. The suit he made for me is very comfortable and continues to get better as the canvas takes the shape of my body. I keep looking for areas to make micro improvements for my next project with him. But to be honest, the fit is so good I'm not sure there's much to change other than experimenting with other styles, like a double breasted. I plan on commissioning something from him every year as long as I stay in Washington. The super tight, short jacket with the bum exposed, with skinny lapels was trending for a while on off the rack clothing. Even some made to measure places make suits like this. If you are looking for a suit to wear for the next 10 years, I encourage you to give Gabriel a try and have him make something timeless for you.

I contacted Roberto and he said he could cut them down and sew back together. I also had him make me some throw pillows to match the new table cloth I purchased. The long and the short of it, they are perfect! No one would ever know they were cut apart and sewn back together. This is a very unique shoe store in that it caters to people with wide feet. They have been in the business of serving people with wide feet for nearly 40 years. I've seen them on the road as I've driven from Seattle to the Edmonds Ferry but I never paid attention to them until I needed them. I went in on a day when I had to have a pair of shoes that we're going to be as comfortable as possible for the evening, as I had a function that I was responsible for and the shoes I had in my suitcase we're not going to be good enough for those hours. I went in and was greeted very cheerfully by the employees. I was fortunate enough to have the owner's son come out and work on helping me find the appropriate shoes. The owner and I went through a number of shoes after sizing my feet and I settled on one pair. The shoes are quite expensive but they seem to be pretty quality with a decent enough range to get what you're looking for. For me unfortunately I had socks on the day that I bought the shoes and I normally do not wear socks with my shoes. So while they fit perfectly when I bought them they're a bit too big. However, I decided to keep them cuz overall they're comfortable enough but they are definitely size just slightly too big. About the store's layout and inventory: It's a very small store with not a lot of room in it or a lot of inventory. Apparently, they have a really store much bigger in size and with far more choices. It is down in South King County. I'll have to visit someday. This store is in a very busy section right off a very congested roadway. So it's a little challenging to get in and out of their very small parking lot in the front of the building. I think they have parking in the back but I didn't try to drive around and figure that out. All that said though if you have bigger feet or wider feet that need special attention, this is the place to look. There is no other store like this. I really donappreciate how, over the last 40 years, they knew that there are so many people that need better foot care. They serve customers well,in the form of selling well fitting shoes for wide feet. They figured it out back then, and continue to deliver.
