I decided to come here with a good friend of mines who frequents hookah lounges with me as we adventure off in the bay area looking to try new places. When we got to the location we were seated immediately as we were the only ones there at the time (5:15pm Friday). The person sat us down (I'm assuming owner?) and gave us time to look over the menu. The guy comes back and asks for our order. We ordered a bowl with white gummy, white grape (might have been white peach?), and citrus mint (as they were out of apple mint). The furniture looked kind of old except those leather booths.The couches sink in almost immediately upon sitting. Very uncomfortable. The place looked tacky and dare I say, resembles a dungeon. When the hookah set came out, I immediately noticed that the hookah bowl was a lot smaller than I'm use to seeing at other hookah lounges. We began our smoking and enjoyed the flavor at first and it was pulling a lot of smoke for only having the coals on the bowl for 1 minute. After about 15 minutes in, the flavor was quickly dying and all I got was the taste of smoke. The buzz from the bowl was actually pretty strong and I liked that. As time goes on, the coals begin to slowly burn out. The guy is sitting in his little area smoking his own hookah set while the TV blasts away very loudly. He never came to check on us to see if we were doing okay or if we need new coals. As I was taking my hit from the hookah bowl I got bits of tobacco in my mouth (something that should not happen, especially if the set is cleaned out after every use (hopefully it is cleaned often?)). That is what turned me away immediately. I told my friend that it is disgusting and the lack of service was just something I didn't want to partake in. We decided that we would leave and go to another hookah lounge instead. As we begin packing up, the guy FINALLY comes over and asks us if we wanted more charcoal, A little too late for that. This wasn't my best hookah experience and I don't see myself coming back anytime in the future. But everyone has their opinions so you can go ahead and give it a try as your experience might be different than mines but keep in mind, your mileage may vary. read more

My friends and I were looking for a hookah lounge nearby the an area we were close in. We found this place and took a chance with it. Before you know it my friends and I fell in love with the lounge. It was beautiful inside with a relaxing/chill vibe. The manager Amir came up to us and responded to all our question we had and even gave us tips with hookah! I love this place! I haven't been to a Hookah cafe in the past 5 years since I moved here from Texas until going to this location and it did not disappoint. I chose this spot to study for school and the employee working was very friendly and knowledgeable about their flavors. The hookah I chose was great, and the flavor lasted for hours. They were attentive about bringing fresh coals. I also got a hot tea and they always made sure I had hot water so that I could continue to refill my tea. I went on a weekday and the music was pretty low so it wasn't distracting, they warned me that it could get louder for events or weekends though. The only downside (for studying) is that there isn't much indoor lighting. I used the natural light outdoors until it got dark. The lighting they do have is very nice though, ambient, just not necessarily productive to study by. They did have a lot of small tables to utilize and again were very friendly and accommodating. I went to Hookah Castle last night with 4 other people. The staff was very friendly and kept coming over to make sure we where doing ok. We got two Hookah's and complementary tea we paid $24. We asked for one flavor to be mango and the other hooka be strawberry. He said he will mix each with another flavor for free and recommended what would taste good. Another great new hookah lounge in San Jose CA. They have nice comfortable seating and they place different music depending on the crowd. Their customer service is fast and efficent. The coal guy "Ali" is very friendly and the owner Amir comes around himself every 10-15 minutes asking how we were doing. I really like the big sign they have by the street, its easy to find! I was denied entry to this establishment solely on the basis of the fact that I was accompanied by a service animal. I was told by the owner that no animals, including service animals, are allowed into the establishment. As a lawyer licensed in the State of California, I felt quite comfortable telling the owner that he faced a fine of $75,000 should the Department of Justice take action against him. He did not seem to care. I have since filed a complaint alleging these facts with the DOJ. read more

One of the most comfortable places outside of my home. What glowing things can't I say about this place? The shisha is great quality, the bowls are well executed every time and the charcoal upkeep by the employees is top notch. But this place goes beyond that a lot of the time. The employees are beyond accommodating , after having been there about a dozen times, it feels like second nature to pull up to Hookah Castle. If you're on the fence, give it a shot. The prices are not harsh in the slightest. If you enjoy hookahs, smoking, and generally a super-relaxing atmosphere, you're gonna have a good time. I guarantee it. Great hookah place! They remodeled the whole place and got new hookah sets. So it's better than ever. The flavors are good, and the service is great. I was here a few nights ago with some friends and our server was very nice and attentive. They even have complementary hot tea for this cold weather !! I highly recommend this place ! Really impressed with this place!!! I came here for a girls night out with my friends and we were seated right away. They got us set up really quickly after we chose our flavor. King's Mix is bomb. It's without a doubt the best flavor I've ever had. The hookah is really quality and it never got rough or anything unlike it does at some other lounges in the area. This place is terrible. The hookah hose was really dirty and even after I asked for it to be cleaned I kept getting dirty residue in my mouth. The service was very bad. The owner was micro managing everything and I was not comfortable at all. The place is very badly insulated and had an all around gross feeling. On top of the bad service and nasty hookah, the place had a weird slideshow in the background of guests from the past, mostly showing women that wore revealing clothing. Also, one of the waiters called me mean for no apparent reason. Overall this place sucked, And was the worst hookah placees I've been to in the Bay Area. If i could give the place 0 stars, I would. First impression when walking in? Very very small for a hookah lounge maybe have 20-25 people in there max. The furniture wasn't very comfy. My group wanted to order 3 pineapple head hookahs and we couldn't because he only had half a pineapple left. How are you going to advertise pineapple heads and only have a half? I tried adjusting my coals and i blew on them and the owner ran up to me "no no no you cant do that" he was scared that little ashes would get on his shitty $15 table. No tongs were given either. So when I wrote my first review it was for the one employee Jose. After coming here more that year I noticed that the owner of the store and his possy were not very welcoming and nice, so I did stop coming here as often as I was because they made me feel unwelcomed. It wasn't until my friend Ashley's birthday when i had taken a group of my friends here, and I'm so glad i did! It turns out that this place has a new owner/management and they have literally saved this place. I noticed the difference as soon as I walked in because they had new pretty candles and the environment was so much more welcoming! They let us pick where we wanted to sit and then came to take our order. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, he really cares so much about the customers and he is consistent with it. He introduced himself and announced the news that he is the new owner and that things were a little bit different than before and hopefully we liked the new changes and modifications. Shortly after he brought our entire group some free (delicious) tea, and then played some amazing music which is always great. We ended up staying all night until closing and we all left extremely happy and on cloud 9. Since that experience I've come back multiple times and they all remember my friends and i which is really difficult because they have so many customers but they manage to care enough to remember, they have a DJ and belly dancer that they bring in for entertainment and they will even let you Bluetooth your own music so that you can listen to your favorite music while you relax with your friends. Like i said they go above and beyond for their customers which really is all you need at a hookah lounge. This is my go to place, always. I have drive from Palo Alto to Campbell just to go here when i was literally walking distance from a hookah lounge, that's how much i love this place. Highly recommended!!! I've never been here when it's super busy and crackin at night, but I love the chill vibe and relaxed atmosphere during the day. I come in solo sometimes and my hookah seems to last forever and always smooth... The owner is usually there as well and makes you feel at home. Great hookah spot with a great selection of flavors. They even have fruit bowls. I got a bowl made from pineapple with the tobacco inside. Lasted at least the 2 hours we were there with zero burning taste and had great smoke the whole time. They bring by coal frequently. Clean bathroom. Great drinks and snacks selection.
