Don't let the bare decor and questionable furniture choices fool you, this is a great hookah lounge. Hookah 402 isn't a dance club-cum-hookah-bar you go to just to be seen. It's a laid back place to enjoy a great hookah and talk with your friends. We came in on a Saturday around 7:30-8:00 and there were very few customers, leaving plenty of seats for us to choose. Right away, the service was friendly and helpful. We talked a bit about what flavors we generally enjoy and the (I believe) owner made a recommendation that we agreed with. Our hookah came out promptly afterward, clean and perfectly prepared, and the staff made sure we had enough perfectly lit coals over the course of our stay. As of the time of writing, here are a few more positives about this place: -Complimentary water and tea. (No food provided, though you are allowed to bring yours in.) -17 bucks is the most expensive shisha they have. -High quality hookahs that don't have the annoying throw-away plastic hoses. -Playing cards and bubbles provided at no cost. -Live entertainment on Saturdays, other events through the week like movies on Wednesdays. -Friendly, helpful, awesome service. Now, there are things they could improve on, here. Better furniture would go a long way, as would adding some decoration. As I understand it, though, they're fairly new and with time (and increased business) they'll have the chance to fix these little things. Omaha can now boast two hookah lounges, though they offer different experiences. Oasis downtown offers loud music, energetic crowds, bright DJ lights and alcohol, but Hookah 402 provides great service and excellent shisha in an atmosphere that actually allows you to relax. This place is great, especially compared to your other options in Omaha. The owners are incredibly personable and very invested in making sure your experience is great. The hookah is ok, not the pinnacle of hookahs, but decent enough. Served in KM hookahs with coconut coals, the experience is predictable which is a plus in the hookah world. The downside would be the space itself, offering limited seating and no clean air ventilation. Where Hookah 402 shines is in their service. Freekin legit! I am from Seattle Washington where there are some crackin hookah bars and this place is pretty comparable. They could use a little more decor and better hookahs but the overall atmosphere is way better than there competitors. And i mean way way better haha. I visit Omaha often for business and I'm always looking for a nice hookah lounge. I usually stay downtown and there used to be a cool little hookah spot in walking distance of my hotel, but it has since closed :( Anywho, I stumbled upon Hookah 402 on yelp and decided to check it out. Although it is not downtown, it was maybe only a 10 minute uber ride from my hotel. When i tell you this was THEE BEST hookah I have EVER had!!! Out of all the cities I visit, including major cities, this is the best hookah hands down. The service I received was superb from the time I walked in until the time I left. Great music. The only thing I didn't like about this place is that it closes too early!! Lol. (Oh and no alcohol but I'm used to that in the smaller cities). I only got to spend an hour there since I got into town on a late flight. Please change your hours and close at 1am. Pretty please!! Lol. Upon first entering I was worried because there was no decor, just empty walls, it made me nervous at first but as the night progressed it was a nice little spot to relax with some friends and smoke. I enjoyed all of the flavors we tried. Unlike some locations I've been to the music was being blasted so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. The atmosphere is incredible. It's a great place to enjoy a relaxing smoke, chat with old AND new friends, do homework, and end a long work day. The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They are willing to take the time to teach you and help you enjoy the most out of your smoke. Well, I don't even know where to start. But I felt like I need to submit a review incase someone would wanna hear an honest experience about Hookah 402. First off, I live in Kansas city and I came here to visit my family. I've been a Hookah smoker for over five years now and I believe I can def tell about the quality of the Hookah I'd be smoking. However, my cousin and I decided to look for a Hookah lounge in the Omaha area. We did the search and based on the reviews we decided to pay Hookah 402 a visit. So we arrived there, and from the outside we were not really encouraged to enter the place but we decided to give it a chance. The first thing is that everyone there just kept staring at us and we didn't know who to talk to or order a hookah, also, the seating was very weird. You'll have to end up sitting right next to other strangers. We sat down and the people next to us were real creepy, scanning our bodies from head to toe like if they are hungry and watching a food commercial, that was very very uncomfortable. After a few minutes, one of the employees approached us with the greasy menu. We were so confused until we just decided to go with the flavor that I already know. So we ordered a Two apple Hookah, it took them 25 minutes to bring the hookah out to us, and of course they forgot to leave a tong with our hookah which was very unprofessional. I took the first hit of the hookah and was going to throw up, it didn't taste like two apple at all. So I forced myself to smoke that hookah with the water coming out the hose and it was so dirty, really disgusting. Then I ended up struggling to find an employee to bring me the mouth piece thing for the hose which it didn't come with the hookah as every other hookah lounge i've been to in the county. Sorry, I've been trying to make this review as short as possible but there are a lot of things and issues to cover here. Overall, I've been smoking Hookah for a long time and I highly DO NOT recommend this place at all what so ever. The prices are super high for a plain place like this especially the quality of hookah is beyond zero. Service was terrible. My advice here to everyone who's looking to experience a good Hookah session is look elsewhere to spend your money. Don't be fooled by the deceiving positive reviews, I'm sure they were left here on yelp and google as a favor for the owner, which I can totally see the desperation. I will never go back and I wished that haven't wasted $20 of my hard earned money. And what's funny is that they use funnel bowls and the employee didn't know what they were made of when we asked. This is by far the best hookah bar I have ever been to! All the staff is knowledgeable about their products. The flavors are awesome. They even let you mix and match. They have complimentary tea and water. No food but that is completely understandable because with the Nebraska laws you can allow smoking in your business or food and with this being a hookah bar obviously they will pick being allowed to smoke. You are more than welcome to bring your own food in. Last time I went it was a friends birthday we got to light candles and the owners even got the whole place to sing happy birthday to my friend. They also offer a variety of board and card games for you to play. The staff are always prompt on taking orders, checking ids, replacing coals and bringing you bubbles! And the bubbles are free of charge! The prices are great! $17 for a whole night of smoking. Loooved it. The customers are very diverse which is a great change from just high school kids like at oasis. The music is great. The first time I went here they had an open mic night for local artist or whomever wanted to sing that night. They ensure their customers are having a great time and everything is on the up and up. My only complaint would be the seating but hey for this price and the great time you have, putting one of their many pillows under your bum is definitely worth it! read more
