    Hook Burger

We really like Hook. It is upscale in terms of the pricing of the food. My wife got the burger and I got a ribeye. (Sorry, no picture of the steak as I ate it right up! It was delicious, though.) Hook does have access to the lake and an outdoor tiki bar, which is always fun in the summer.

Stopped in by boat midday. We decided to sit outside at the bar. Most of the tables outside were unbused and dirty. I was underwhelmed by the menu and service. I was surprised there weren't more appetizer or lunch type options for those just stopping in for a drink and a snack. Everything was pretty pricey, and the tiki bar didn't have a separate menu. The one bartender was having trouble managing even though there were only 2 other couples at the bar. We decided not to eat and I just ordered a spicy margarita. It was ok, they use jalapeno syrup and not actual jalapeno's. Finally after getting the bill I saw that he had overcharged me $2 for my already expensive $14 drink - I told him and he fixed it. This is not a return place for us.

Had reservations for New Years Eve dinner 2025 At 5:15pm. Made reservations 2 weeks prior, Been here many times but this time was very upsetting! Seated us out on the cold enclosed patio in the corner covered in plastic and snow blowing in. Terrible ambience and unacceptable! This is supposed to be fine dining! It was awful so disappointed! They said that's all they had!! It was terrible in there! Freezing and dark! Sorry Chef Bobby wasn't impressed at all! $500 dinner sitting outside dockside! Should've just left! Do better

Wow, what a nice and classy establishment you definitely want to stop by for awesome drinks & food & on occasion, live music that's not so loud you can't hear the other person talking. The service was top notch. The ambience is spectacular. There's bar seating & tables. You can't pass this place by. A must go!

Recently (Wednesday) I had the pleasure of dining at HOOK My sister was in town so I invited her to dinner and choose Hook to meet. (Both of us born/raised on East side ... SCS) The moment I (we) walked in we were greeted by a wonderful gal with a smile. The decor; beautifully curated creating a stylish vibe that spoke to why I choose the right spot to be. The ambient lighting perfectly complemented the setting for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff (all inclusive) truly made the experience memorable, they were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu(s), they went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Best for last, the MEAL Chef Zach & crew worked harmoniously together, it was nothing short of spectacular‼ Check out my photos, be sure to check out the HOOK I can speak to my meal, the flavors were perfectly balanced and each bite was better than the last, my sisters the same. The cocktails, well "where is the Rum" go check it out!! I highly recommend the Hook to anyone looking for great food and a lovely atmosphere. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings. Happy weekend and if you don't have plans, I highly recommend checking out the HOOK

We chose Hook for an early weekday lunch. The black Quonset building is located on the wharf, a half mile out from the shoreline. Location signage is small and rather poor. Valet parking is pushed (but wasn't active this day). There were also a few open, free spots along the perimeter of the property. When I came in the floors were still being wet mopped; no greeter was on hand, and the old time rock music was blaring above the blast of the AC. We were the sole patrons. The hostess arrived and showed us to a windowed booth. Nice views of the surrounding marina. Wines by the glass were about $15-$20. Nice pours too. I ordered a Flamed Chicken Wrap which was ample. It included the listed $3 side salad substitute which I ordered in place of fries. The small salad was good, but later I found a more than double selection accompaniment charge of $8 added to my bill. I guess the wait person did not hear my request over the music. That was disappointing. All in all, I was underwhelmed on this visit.

I was craving Fish N Chips so I thought it was finally time to give Hook a try. The ambiance is nice and there's a great view of all the boats in the neighboring Marina. The service was spot on. The food came quickly and there were multiple server assistants to fill your water and meet any other needs we had.

Went here on Sunday for my Moms birthday dinner. Started off ordering drinks. Highly recommend the Old Sombrero which is basically a spicy Margarita emphasis on the spicy but in a good way plus I like spicy! Next were the appetizer order which we got the white fish dip, crispy calamari, and the raw oysters. I see why everybody here on yelp has pictures of the whitefish dip it's amazing served with these crispy bagel style chips. The crispy calamari was your standard good calamari with a creamy sauce very good. Only comment/critic I have for the oysters which were very good as well just wished there was a option of the red vinegar that is normally served with oysters replace the cocktail sauce they give you with them and add that. For entrees I got the crab stuffed lobster which was 10/10 definitely recommend. A few of us ordered that and everybody loved it. My sister ordered the diablo shrimp pasta which looked amazing she also said 10/10. I did get to sneak a taste of it and could confirm the claim. My dad ordered the burger which he said he did enjoy as well. The service was good as well very attentive polite and nice.Overall I would definitely come back to this restaurant the only thing I would have to knock would be the wait time for our table. We arrived early for our reservation the table that the restaurant had for us was a booth. For a party of 5 we wanted a table so that is on us but it did take the staff about 15 minutes to get the table ready not a huge deal just a little nit picky.

The food was good, and plenty of it for the price. The sushi had pretty fresh, and dint have the fishy taste at all. The crab cakes were my least favourite, they were kind of bland with strong fishy taste. The battered fish piece was huge and soft. The service was my favourite part, we went on Father's Day without reservations and our server did amazing. The place is huge with plenty of seating. The outdoor seating area was slightly dirty, and too many may flies.

If I could give 20 stars, I totally would Despite the negative reviews I've heard, I came with my patience but my experience was nothing short of amazing and I feel they deserve some love. Any new restaurant has their kinks, which I'm sure they may be working through, but they are doing a wonderful job. I can honestly say nothing was short of flawless; from the food, service, to the ambience, everything was exceptional! I had so much fun taking pictures of the place because it is beautiful! After seeing it was Tiki Tuesday, my friend and I decided to go on a whim. Valet parking is complementary, and there was a fantastic live band playing! They also have a mid-day happy hour during the week. There was no wait and we were seated around 9p, and there was plenty of seating available inside and out. We sat on the patio where we got the full view of the band and marina. There were no bugs the entire time and they even had the patio lights off, which was a benefit! Nicole, our server, was kind, attentive, and helpful with the menu. I ordered the Catch 75 cocktail which had elderberry liquor. Just the right amount of sweetness and was easy to sip! We shared the crab cakes, chicken Milanese and fish and chips. First of all, the food all came within 10 minutes of ordering and it was hot and fresh. WOW!! Starting with the crab cakes.... OMG. OMG. I will be dreaming about them until next time. Do yourself a favor, forget the price for a moment and just order them. I have had many crab cakes and these were PACKED with real crab. The sauce and spiraled radishes paired with them were super tasty! The fish and chips were heavenly. The haddock tasted like extremely fresh quality and the batter was crispy and light. I, personally, do not care for heavily battered fish and this was PERFECT. The chicken Milanese was crispy, juicy and packed with flavor! My friend said it was so tender, and cut like butter. It was paired with a delicious salad drizzled with balsamic... I could eat that salad for lunch every day. Didn't get dessert this time, but the key lime pie and crème brûlée are on my list. Hook is a spectacular, waterfront gem, well worth a special night out!

We were not disappointed at all! Here's what we noticed: - It was a beautiful sunny Fall day so we opted to sit outside. They were using an abbreviated Fall lunch menu. - My wife and I split both the Mike's perch meal and the Maurice salad. The perch was breaded with Panko crumbs, a little heavier than I've seen at places in the past, but it was still really tasty. The fries were seasoned well and the coleslaw was good but a little sweet. The Maurice salad was very good too. - Service was very good, although the server told me they didn't charge extra if you use a credit card and that was clearly inaccurate because it was stated on the bill that we received that the cash price was (~3%) less. - The atmosphere was great, the view wonderful, and the overall decor is totally crammed full of pictures and nautical paraphernalia...very quaint. - Prices are a little higher than some other places, but not surprising given the water front location. Bottom line: We would definitely go back, especially in summer.

I always avoid DoorDash, because the quality is generally suspect, and frequently the orders are wrong. But, everything was perfect. Even the bread dusted with Parmesan cheese was good. So, here we are today. No surprise, she ordered the salmon again, and it was great again....and even better because of how fresh it was. Likewise, the bread was flawless. This isn't just bread with cheese sprinkled on it, like a pizza place. The bread itself has excellent seasoning, and it was freshly baked. My wife got a Caesar side salad with a robust Caesar dressing. I opted for the crab bisque, which - like everything else in this place - was full of flavor. And, unlike many places, it was reasonably full of crab. I ordered the paella, a massive tray full of large succulent shrimp, mussels, crab legs, and perfectly seasoned rice. We went to Spain a few years ago, and this compares favorably to the quality of the paella there. There's no way a single human being could eat this by themself. It was very reasonably priced at $24. There are places on the Nautical Mile where you'll see younger people. This is not one of those places, unless you count the staff. As I looked around, I realized that this was a decidedly older crowd. The ambiance might not be considered cool, but it's not exactly like this is a Denny's. As a member of that crowd myself, I can tell you that you should respect your elders and listen: go to Waves if you want excellent, reasonably priced food. I can't promise that it will be as good if you use a food delivery service, but that was a rare time that I was happy for DoorDash. We would not have found out about this amazing seafood restaurant otherwise.
