    Poke Bowl
    Anthony F.

If your looking for lakefront view this is a great location. Food for the prices isn't the greatest. Ordered the poke bowl which was mediocre. Very small amount of Salmon that had decent flavor. Sushi rolls with the abundance of options on menu seems to be they way to go but they are priced in $20-40 per roll which does not Seem to be worth pricing . Overall, wouldRecommend drinks but not food

Where to begin. This is a destination on the Detroit food map. If you are in town visiting or a resident, stop in for 5-star dining and staff who enjoy their work. Guaranteed a quality evening with a fantastic menu. I was here for a quick grab - so I went with a in-season soup. Their menu is eclectic so no one is left out of a meal option. They do have a seasonal menu until they run out. The interior has a lot of space, and in summer time they have an outside patio for band performances. The kitchen facing dining space is cool if your into that. The bar seating and tables are enough to hold 100 easy. I had the roasted summer squash soup. Creamy, just the right flavor of roasted squash. Everything is hand prepared there is no Sysco main items here. They even ship speciality fish from around the world for special event engagements. Chef Bobby and Chef Mike are wizards!

I was craving Fish N Chips so I thought it was finally time to give Hook a try. The ambiance is nice and there's a great view of all the boats in the neighboring Marina. The service was spot on. The food came quickly and there were multiple server assistants to fill your water and meet any other needs we had.

Stopped in by boat midday. We decided to sit outside at the bar. Most of the tables outside were unbused and dirty. I was underwhelmed by the menu and service. I was surprised there weren't more appetizer or lunch type options for those just stopping in for a drink and a snack. Everything was pretty pricey, and the tiki bar didn't have a separate menu. The one bartender was having trouble managing even though there were only 2 other couples at the bar. We decided not to eat and I just ordered a spicy margarita. It was ok, they use jalapeno syrup and not actual jalapeno's. Finally after getting the bill I saw that he had overcharged me $2 for my already expensive $14 drink - I told him and he fixed it. This is not a return place for us.

Had reservations for New Years Eve dinner 2025 At 5:15pm. Made reservations 2 weeks prior, Been here many times but this time was very upsetting! Seated us out on the cold enclosed patio in the corner covered in plastic and snow blowing in. Terrible ambience and unacceptable! This is supposed to be fine dining! It was awful so disappointed! They said that's all they had!! It was terrible in there! Freezing and dark! Sorry Chef Bobby wasn't impressed at all! $500 dinner sitting outside dockside! Should've just left! Do better

Wow, what a nice and classy establishment you definitely want to stop by for awesome drinks & food & on occasion, live music that's not so loud you can't hear the other person talking. The service was top notch. The ambience is spectacular. There's bar seating & tables. You can't pass this place by. A must go!

Recently (Wednesday) I had the pleasure of dining at HOOK My sister was in town so I invited her to dinner and choose Hook to meet. (Both of us born/raised on East side ... SCS) The moment I (we) walked in we were greeted by a wonderful gal with a smile. The decor; beautifully curated creating a stylish vibe that spoke to why I choose the right spot to be. The ambient lighting perfectly complemented the setting for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff (all inclusive) truly made the experience memorable, they were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu(s), they went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Best for last, the MEAL Chef Zach & crew worked harmoniously together, it was nothing short of spectacular‼ Check out my photos, be sure to check out the HOOK I can speak to my meal, the flavors were perfectly balanced and each bite was better than the last, my sisters the same. The cocktails, well "where is the Rum" go check it out!! I highly recommend the Hook to anyone looking for great food and a lovely atmosphere. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings. Happy weekend and if you don't have plans, I highly recommend checking out the HOOK

We chose Hook for an early weekday lunch. The black Quonset building is located on the wharf, a half mile out from the shoreline. Location signage is small and rather poor. Valet parking is pushed (but wasn't active this day). There were also a few open, free spots along the perimeter of the property. When I came in the floors were still being wet mopped; no greeter was on hand, and the old time rock music was blaring above the blast of the AC. We were the sole patrons. The hostess arrived and showed us to a windowed booth. Nice views of the surrounding marina. Wines by the glass were about $15-$20. Nice pours too. I ordered a Flamed Chicken Wrap which was ample. It included the listed $3 side salad substitute which I ordered in place of fries. The small salad was good, but later I found a more than double selection accompaniment charge of $8 added to my bill. I guess the wait person did not hear my request over the music. That was disappointing. All in all, I was underwhelmed on this visit.

Went here on Sunday for my Moms birthday dinner. Started off ordering drinks. Highly recommend the Old Sombrero which is basically a spicy Margarita emphasis on the spicy but in a good way plus I like spicy! Next were the appetizer order which we got the white fish dip, crispy calamari, and the raw oysters. I see why everybody here on yelp has pictures of the whitefish dip it's amazing served with these crispy bagel style chips. The crispy calamari was your standard good calamari with a creamy sauce very good. Only comment/critic I have for the oysters which were very good as well just wished there was a option of the red vinegar that is normally served with oysters replace the cocktail sauce they give you with them and add that. For entrees I got the crab stuffed lobster which was 10/10 definitely recommend. A few of us ordered that and everybody loved it. My sister ordered the diablo shrimp pasta which looked amazing she also said 10/10. I did get to sneak a taste of it and could confirm the claim. My dad ordered the burger which he said he did enjoy as well. The service was good as well very attentive polite and nice.Overall I would definitely come back to this restaurant the only thing I would have to knock would be the wait time for our table. We arrived early for our reservation the table that the restaurant had for us was a booth. For a party of 5 we wanted a table so that is on us but it did take the staff about 15 minutes to get the table ready not a huge deal just a little nit picky.

Walking in, it has a very hip feel to it. Not a traditional menu of what I'm used to for sushi. The menus on the wall and prices seemed reasonable. Very limited selection. They also sell ramen here, but the kind that come in the buckets that I see at the grocery store? Weird, but ok. Anyway, I went with a sushi roll that was about $14, I can't remember which one. I also sprung for some Nigiri because I like it, and got a can of Dr. Pepper that I didn't really want or need, but hey, when you're hungry you do dumb things, right? Anyway, my bill was a whopping $25.88. OUCH. I was kind of surprised but considering my options and not wanting to leave the shopping complex, I paid for it anyway, sticker shock and all. There were two sushi chefs behind the counter and they threw in an extra Nigiri for me. It was delicious! Seatings limited here but there are tables and a TV with what I think was Kpop on it playing some cute music with videos. Anyway, the food itself was great, and I really did have a good meal here, just pricier than I thought. They do serve water here but I wish they had a bigger menu to choose from.
