Snapper beausoleil with mashed potatoes and green beans

I haven't been to fishbones in a long time but I was in the area and decided to stop in with my cousin. It was about 10pm on a Saturday night and the sign outside stated they had late night happy hour. However, once seated at the bar our server said happy hour isn't offered on the weekend. I started with the Lion's sushi roll. It was very fresh and ready quickly, I ordered the snapper beausoliel. Blackened snapper with sautéed shrimp in a butter sauce. It was served with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was all bland. With salt & pepper the green beans and potatoes were ok. The fish and shrimp tasted overcooked and rubbery. There was a live singer performing which made the experience better. I'd never order the snapper again but I would visit Fishbones.

I was impressed by the atmosphere food and service. Crab cakes and coconut shrimp appetizers were the star. I ordered the catfish po-boy and it was good flavor but the bottom bun was soggy(my fault bc I didn't get it deep fried I subbed blackened). My husband got the snapper. Fish was delicious. Bread basket and garlic butter were delish. Live music on Friday night. We will be back

The only thing I ever eat here is the sushi. Love the seaweed salad and the spider roll. If you dine in, the hot rolls and garlic butter are pretty great also!

Came here for friends birthday dinner at 9pm on a Thursday night. The atmosphere was good. They had live entertainment and it wasn't too busy to seat us. Our waitress who was also a bartender was superb! Very kind and attentive. I tried the fish and chips, would have thought the portion would be bigger, but it was ok for the taste. My friend ordered the braised short rib and that was good! Our favorite part was the complimentary bread and their garlic butter!

Went to Fishbones twice for New Years Eve. We went for dinner and started our night there. After eating we met up with some friends elsewhere, then came back for a drink nightcap and listen to the band. I'm a sucker for Fishbones. I love this place. We started our dinner with a sushi roll and a sushi pizza. My wife loved the sushi pizza. To me, it's just a big California Roll blob, but to each their own! We both ordered an entree of braised short ribs. They were devine! I even tried to cut it with my spoon, and the short rib fell apart before I could even give full pressure downward with the spoon. Such a delicious dish!

This is hair , embedded into the breading for their zucchini appetizer . I couldn't be more disappointed, because we spent our time to go here and after showing the manager they did remove this from bill but honestly we were so disgusted by it that we stopped eating immediately and left our other app 3/4 the way un-eaten but paid ,because we wanted to leave ASAP . Waste of 90 mins of my life and money just to have a belly full of some random persons hair , never going back and I've lived in this city for 26 years . Just can't believe they would ask for $23 after that happening to a customer .

Saganaki well lite up and melted.

Great early Happy hour! 2:30-5:30 Monday-Friday. The drinks, cosmopolitan and margarita made by Nick were well done. Service was quick and informative. There are a few tasty appetizers: the Saganaki was as good as anything I've had in greektown. My neighbors had the Catfish beignets and enjoyed them. The restaurant is New Orleans friendly, very comfortable atmosphere.

Great sushi at the 9 mile and Jefferson location!! Nice servers !! Colorful atmosphere!!

The photo speaks volumes as it to pertains to the owner of said establishment. Who would want to spend $ in his pockets w/a smart ass comment as such, not me. Service is slow, staff has no etiquettes, perhaps the owner can invest in some courses for not only themself but for employees, he has the spot to do it and it would be good for the generation that works there, so sad how slow they move. I grew up in a world if you're just standing there doing absolutely nothing maybe grab some paper towel and do some cleaning, perhaps the splotchy bathroom mirrors because that place sure could use some dusting. Sadly the south end of SCS has gone South, originally an east side no longer and so glad I'm not. This place is a dump !!

The food and service is phenomenal. Pricing has gone a little high but... Hasn't everywhere.

Walking in, it has a very hip feel to it. Not a traditional menu of what I'm used to for sushi. The menus on the wall and prices seemed reasonable. Very limited selection. They also sell ramen here, but the kind that come in the buckets that I see at the grocery store? Weird, but ok. Anyway, I went with a sushi roll that was about $14, I can't remember which one. I also sprung for some Nigiri because I like it, and got a can of Dr. Pepper that I didn't really want or need, but hey, when you're hungry you do dumb things, right? Anyway, my bill was a whopping $25.88. OUCH. I was kind of surprised but considering my options and not wanting to leave the shopping complex, I paid for it anyway, sticker shock and all. There were two sushi chefs behind the counter and they threw in an extra Nigiri for me. It was delicious! Seatings limited here but there are tables and a TV with what I think was Kpop on it playing some cute music with videos. Anyway, the food itself was great, and I really did have a good meal here, just pricier than I thought. They do serve water here but I wish they had a bigger menu to choose from.
