Goal: 90 minutes deep tissue massage to help relieve my chronic levator muscle pain/neck scapula pain and overall body relaxation. Goal achieved! Luka/Luca greeted me with a calm, sweet and welcoming disposition. We briefly talked about my concerns and then started with a Hawaiian sea salt foot wash. She read my body needs and can tell where my body needed more work and where it didn't. I am very impressed with her service. Massage was on point. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Luka makes you feel very comfortable. Ray was very communicative through emails and texts prior to appointment about parking, paperwork, payments, etc. I got 2 hour massages for both my mom and I. Prices are reasonable. Location is at the beginning of Waikiki on Hobron Lane so you don't have to deal with too much of that if you are a local. Great service. Will utilize again. Without exaggeration Luka is by FAR the best masseuse I have ever had. After YEARS of neck pain and knots I started seeing Luka 1x a week. Best message I've ever had! I did a double treatment 90 minute hot stone massage and 60 minute facial with Luka. To start, when I made the appointment over the phone I spoke with James the owner who was wonderful and even sent me a text with directions and helped me find where I was going. What an amazing treat! A short walk from the Ilikai I lucked into this wonderful spot! I was able to connect with Ray who coordinated my appointment, followed up and made sure I found my way. With so many spas closed due to Covid, I was hesitant to pay for service prior to getting there and he accommodated me. Luka...she is magic. While my husband fished for our dinner, I received a Lomi Lomi massage and reflexology that was amazing! Five stars is not enough for her! The massage I received from Luka is all I could ever have asked for. I chose the back and neck tension release and she really worked wonders! I don't feel as tight anymore as I used to! As recommended, I'm going to have to come back soon to get the deeper areas where my muscles are tight on as well. She did the best she could with the damage my back has been put through at work. After a long flight, my back and shoulders were in much need of some maintenance. I didn't have much time to schedule an appointment, so after many calls around the area Honua was able to squeeze me in for an afternoon appointment. I waited in the lobby of the hotel and someone came out to bring me to the converted hotel room/massage parlor. I filled out some short paper work as my feet soaked and looked to to a great view of diamond head. I spoke to the massage therapist and let her know of my problem areas. The massage was perfect. She asked if the pressure was okay through out the massage and I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep. They accept credit cards. Would recommend this place if looking for relief. read more

This place is the best in town! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here in Waikiki and went to a fancy resort to get a couples massage. It was honestly not that good and very expensive. We decided to go a few blocks from the hotel and try this place instead. I'm telling you, this is the best massage I have ever had in my life. This place is located in the hotel on the 3rd floor...room 310. It is a converted hotel room into a massage room. The massage was good, but I wish she asked about the pressure...she did a good job though without asking me because I do like it hard and she really gave it to me. The only thing I don't like about this place is the setup. It is two massage bed in one room and wish I had my own private room. Even though my friend was on the other table, it was just weird to undress in front of someone else and share a room. I was in desperate need of a massage and found this place during our baby-moon. Yes, it's in a hotel room of a crapier hotel, but the service was on fantastic! I got a pregnancy massage and hubby got a neck and back massage. The place is intimate and they have double tables in one room, but said they won't force people to massage together...rest assured. The massage place is in the hotel inside someone's (privately owned) condo! The company recently moved at the beginning of February. It was kind of weird because the front desk had no idea what I was talking about and they said many people have asked for a massage place and they have not been able to direct them. I called to book the appointment same day and after speaking to the front desk, I called the number on the website. The lady who answered, who was not the person doing my massage, said to go up to the 20th floor and sit on the bench (weird!). So, I did, and a nice lady came to get me right at my scheduled time. The inside was interesting -- it was an apartment/condo. I sat on the couch thing for the massage therapist to bring my foot scrub and the couch broke and I fell a bit. It was odd. The view was great though. The massage itself was AMAZING. I had a massage and a facial -- seriously one of the best deep pressure, Lomi Lomi massages I've ever had. Coconut lotion, too, for $5 extra! The facial was fantastic too, my skin was glowing like crazy after. Odd experience finding it, but massage was great! read more

90 minutes of total relaxation! Loma Loma massage with stress away aromatherapy was what I signed up for and now I wish I could come back for more! I have a flight out tonight and needed this massage badly to soothe my muscles from the 3 hour lava trek on Big Island!! My masseuse was very nice and kind lady and she came to receive me at the hotel lobby. The hotel lobby has a water spa and it was a relaxing wait ! The massage room was beautifully decorated, very South East Asian and very aesthetic, I was feeling super relaxed already! She washed my feet with some scrub while I signed some papers and then led me to inner room where I was to undress and get under the sheets. One limb after the other, she rolled her elbow and forearm on me. The warm oil and the warm pressure was calming and just the kind of ironing my body needed ! After that I was lost to the stars... My snore woke me up! I was almost upset that it's over but realized there was much more. Once I turned over,she placed some warm stones on some points and under my neck and continued with the massage. The aroma oils was very pleasant but I wish there was more..the fragrance doesn't last long, just a whiff and it's gone. At the end of 90 minutes, I was given a warm moist towel to wipe off the excess oil. Massage of 90 minutes is optimum as it helps your mind and body really get into the rhythm and then gently rise out of it. This was referred to me because I'm a flight attendant who has been traveling for almost 5 months straight after COVID restrictions lifted and I've been very stressed and exhausted due to jet lag. I had an absolutely wonderful Lomi Lomi massage here. Everyone has mentioned it being in a converted hotel room, but that wasn't an issue for me at all. It was a beautiful, relaxing space - and it smelled really good. I'm sensitive to smell so I really found it a great mix of smelling amazing but not overpowering you like some places do. I was asked about pressure (which was great), given a foot scrub, and nearly fell asleep on the table as I was so relaxed. I felt it was good value for money and am disappointed I was leaving the next day otherwise I certainly would have come back again. I was very happy to find a place that is near Waikiki (walking distance), but not at one of the overpriced resorts. The service was really excellent and everything I would want from a massage. When I stayed at the Kahala a couple years ago I had a massage there that was essentially the same but twice the price. I made three appointments here on my vacation in June (twice alone and once as a couples massage with by husband). The staff was very responsive via phone which can be tricky since we are east coast. The 2 different therapist's I had were very good and extremely friendly. If you are interested in a total spa experience with the hot tubs/sauna/therapy bath etc, then this is not for you as this is a one-hotel-room situation. So just be aware. I will definitely go again in the future. read more

Honua was able to accommodate me for a last-minute appointment in the evening. The massage therapist, Yuko did a great job and paid careful attention to my problem areas. She used an appropriate amount of pressure (I usually ask for light to medium depending on the area) and would quickly adjust her technique based on my response. The facility is a hotel room on the third floor (kind of hard to find if you don't realize this), though it's quite functional. The facility isn't cramp or claustrophobic like a lot of facilities. But there aren't a lot of extras like a fancy waiting room with waterfalls and expensive looking receptionists. This is one of the best deals in Oahu... you can buy 2 sessions with Honua for the price of 1 (or maybe less) session with a more pretentious place. And the more times you go, the better the therapist will understand your body, and the better your massage will be. read more

This was my very first time getting a Shiatsu massage and it was AMAZING!!! I've been to another salon for a massage and it just felt like a lot of rubbing here and there but it wasn't as effective as getting a Shiatsu where there are certain areas that needs to be worked on. I told Yoko (what up, girl! You're the best!) that my shoulders were killing me and she knows exactly what to do and she got all of my knots! I find it very interesting that the place is literally located inside a hotel room, but it still looks professional and elegant and perhaps it is to make the place really private. I decided to just park at the zoo and paid $2 for 2 hours since I was getting a 60-min. massage (the meters are hourly rate only). I walk across the street to the Queen Kapiolani Hotel and took the elevator to the 3rd floor. It's all the way down the hall in room 310, the room was already open and I see a friendly face and Yoko immediately knew who I was and was expecting me. There is no receptionist because like I said it's inside of a hotel room. There is a big curtain and through it are 2 beds and a bathroom where you can change and use the toilet and what-not. I think the only thing I didn't like about the place was it felt kinda hot/stuffy in the room. I don't know if the air-conditioner was not on too high or that's just how it is. However, once my massage got started, I totally forgot all about it. :) I really really enjoyed this place and wouldn't mind coming back..... LOVE IT!! read more

I recently went to Honua to get a hopefully great massage, but I didn't get quite what I wanted. The facility was great, music great, ambiance great, location great! But the massage I was hoping for a bit more pressure, well a lot more pressure, it turned out to be a more relaxing stretching massage. That is ok for some, but I needed to really get into the muscles and have someone work it out. It could have been because it was late in the day, evening about 6pm...so my massage person might have been tired from the day, but in the end I was disappointed with the outcome, and for $100 I would think you'd get what you're expecting. The massage technique was good, not amateur, I could tell the masseuse knew what they were doing. All in all I think it was good, but I'm giving 3 stars for lack of delivery even thought I said I wanted hard pressure in the muscles. read more

We visit family in Honolulu regularly. I take this opportunity to try a different massage location each time. I've become too picky since becoming a massage therapist myself. This massage today was quite possibility the best I've received and that says a lot coming from me. The little extra touches are so similar to the extra things I do for my massage clients. I couldn't believe it! From booking to checkout they are kind, sincere and attentive -- exactly as a massage experience should be. They do truly try to give you a wonderful Aloha experience which is not easy to do on a deadline. I'm impressed and hope to schedule a longer massage on our next visit. Came for a deep tissue massage at the beginning of our trip overseas and couldn't wait for another upon our return. The therapists were both awesome and the office staff were very accommodating. The therapists gave me exactly what I asked for. Very personalized and professional treatments. The building they are in is a tad old and the hallway and bathrooms could use some updating, but once you're in their office, you will be transported to another realm! If you are looking for a great massage, this is the place to go!! It's located in a hotel room at the end of the 3rd floor. It's a little cramped when you walk into the room because they have a table and couple chairs right when you walk in. But once your on the other side of the curtains, it's more open. It's dimly lit and there is soothing music playing. BF and I did a couple's massage, he got one of the Specialty World Massages, The Honua Therapeutic, and I got a World Massage, the Swedish. It was an amazing 1 hour!! Even the bf thought so and it's hard to find a good massage therapist for him because of all the sports injuries he's had. At the end, we were given hot cloths which was nice considering this really isn't a day spa type of facility to go and shower. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the noise. You could hear delivery trucks and carts rolling by. My suggestion would be to ask the massage therapists to turn up the music. But considering this only cost $75 for the bf and $65 for my treatment, I would definitely come back. read more

We love Honua Therapeutic Massage. We first came on our honeymoon and came again for our 5 year anniversary. They listen to all your wants and needs. They do so well I always fall asleep, I even heard myself snore hahaha...I didn't want the massage to end.
