It's a steakhouse and we didn't want to inconvenience them. The owner answered and heartily welcomed us in. We got some drinks and split a burger. The food was phenomenal!!! Steakhouse burger.... Double beef patties with enormous sides-- the broccolini and fries--- chef's kiss. We heard everyone around us sharing praises about various dishes. One guy went up to personally to thank the Chef. The oysters Rockefeller had so many accolades... I'm jealous that I didn't have the capacity to partake in them. They cheers'd us for our anniversary and made our night extra special THANK YOU!! We'll definitely try to make it back because this place is a gem!!!!

Everything else was dried out and didn't even look like the food it was supposed to be. Was there Friday 2 pm. I'd say don't go at that time. Never left a buffet still hungry before.

I did not have any of the sushi, because people were eating a lot of it, and it was hard for the sushi chef to keep up with making it. We only had water to drink. Located in a shopping plaza on Mentor Blvd. you will find a clean, well organized and well stocked buffet. The decor is modern and fairly generic, seating is comfortable and the restaurant is large with several seating areas. As with most buffets you pay as you enter, prices are somewhat reasonable given the way inflation has gone. Once seated you have your choice of the serving stations. Up first is the salad area which is well stocked and includes fresh fruit, boiled shrimp, mussels and artificial crab salad. The salad station also has plenty of dressing and sauces. There is also a soup station with 3 or 4 soups, unfortunately they do not have shrimp chips which I always think is a bonus. There are several buffet stations of hot foods, mainly Chinese with a small selection of American standards. For me I usually get some rice noodles, lo mein or fried rice and then stock up on the shrimp, clams, mussels and the baked artificial crab. Overall the food is fresh and they do a good job of keeping things stocked. Where Fuji comes up a little short for me is that the flavors are a bit muted; the food is under seasoned for me. I usually to use quite a bit of the spicy oil from the salad bar to add some flavor. The sushi station is ok, they make the sushi fresh, but it is only maki rolls and the selection is about 5 or 6 varieties at lunch. Most of the sushi is made with either the crab sticks or shrimp, no fresh fish. Next to the sushi station is the grill station where you pick the raw ingredients and then have the chef cook them. Obviously this food is cooked fresh, although once again I find the sauces to be a bit under seasoned. Once you are ready for dessert there is a pastry section and a scoop your own ice cream. All of this is sweet and pretty good, but nothing really great. Overall Fuji Buffet provides decent food, there is a good variety and you should be able to fill up as much as you want. For me the flavors could be better, not bad just a bit muted. Of course your mileage may vary.

I was impressed with how clean it was and the amazing variety of food they had. Ordering was easy, seniors eat for 9.99 M-F. I believe non seniors were $12. I looked online for latest prices and took a pic since there's older prices online. They have something for everyone and not just Chinese/Japanese food including a sushi bar and hibachi. Soups, salad, pizza, wings, desserts and ice cream. So many things, probably the most variety I've ever seen. Staff were friendly and picked up your empty plates as you finished. All seven of us were full and satisfied, especially my dad lol.

It seems like one of those Chinese places that used to be a nice restaurant before Covid and now they just do quick service takeout... which is fine.. the seating is just for waiting on the food to be cooked. The price is a bit high for a combo meal you can get for $8-9 elsewhere.. and the sauce on the chicken and broccoli was not as expected. Usually it's a brown sauce but this one it was the moo goo gai pan sauce, the clear kind. The soup and combo both lacked a bit of flavor, I think it could be done much better. The egg roll was really good, but I also covered it in duck sauce. The service was friendly though, and it's not half bad for a quick meal.

We will never be going back here again and will be spreading the word at how horrid the staff is. We didn't even get offered a refund or anything of the sort. Waste of our time and money. That lady needs fired. Point blank. Don't go here unless you want to be treated like garbage. The food isn't even good either, 0/10 do not recommend whatsoever all around.

This place is smaller with less choices but their price is also less- about 4 bucks less than Fuji. So the question is... Is the cheaper price worth coming back? I say No. Why? Because of the quality. Fuji has higher quality food. The food is hotter and it just tastes better. The food at New China buffet was oily. The eggrolls, and even the broccoli had a coating of oil on them, which was very un-appetizing. And several of the dishes were lukewarm instead of being hot. That was yucky. The restaurant is definitely older and out of style, but if the food is great, I would not care. It all comes down to the food!! They do have sushi and it was good. But it wasn't any better than the sushi at Fuji. So we probably got our moneys worth, but if I really want to go to a China buffet again, I'm pretty sure I'll end up back at Fuji Buffet.
