The food was typical but the owner and her two terrible teenage children/wait staff stole the show. They could could have gave a shit about the customers. Numerous diners including us had to get and walk over to their table(yes the owners and kids/wait staff/ hostess had a table) and ask for drink refills. It became a running skit at how many folks felt scorn by the lady owner as she sighed and rolled her eyes. Nobody wanted to bother them they seemed to be having a grand time playing on their phones and tablets. The Hispanic kitchen employees kept the food coming and it like I said was typical Chinese. You can throw a rock and it all taste identical. How do they do that anyway? my spouse said he went to pay and the owners didn't even want to run the register. We ordered last week and the food was good. Only issue is the pork with vegetables and the pork ribs. Both had very large chunks of pork; we are used to thin slices of pork in the stir fry and regular size ribs. The cut of the vegetables also need to be smaller. As someone who mostly frequents China Buffet almost across the street from here, I can say this is an excellent buffet. If you come in around 9 and the food has been sitting out, the wait staff is so attentive, they ask if you want anything cooked and they do it for you without a problem. This place is open till 10:30 on weekdays so if you're in the mood for late night chinese and sushi, this is the place. Most Chinese places close earlier and it's not often that chinese places will cook fresh food for you especially so late. Very nice buffet, great sushi options (not overly varied) which is enough to tame your sushi cravings for the day. Service is excellent, you're drinks will be refilled immediately and you will not have to worry about finished plates crowding the table, which is usually a pet peeve of mine when I go to chinese buffet restaurants. read more

First off ; I don't like styrofoam plates or plastic forks . The beef they had was the texture of the sole of a shoe . The General Tso was very sweet and no spice to it at all . The Lo Mein was nothing but spaghetti that was over cooked . can't think of anything on the buffet that I would reccommend . Then there is the restroom is a joke ; you have to hold the door stop up so you can shut the door . Cheap and filling. My standards for Chinese buffets are not high. So long as there is a little variety and it's hot. This place was cute and had a koi pond. Everyone loves a koi pond! Drinks were refilled quickly. Service was good. We left full and happy. read more

I've so far only been to this buffet once, but they made a very favorable impression on me. They have a very nice building and a good staff. The obvious local comparison is to the China Buffet, which is a pretty good place as well. The Hong Kong Buffet has a nicer-looking, brighter interior than the former, but then China Buffet is in the building that used to be McDonald's. HKB also has a slightly larger selection of dishes than CB, but those dishes that are the same also taste the same. At suppertime HKB is definitely more expensive than CB, but I believe they're comparable at lunch. HKB is a somewhat nicer buffet for a somewhat higher price. I'm sure I'll be back to this buffet in the future, but I'm not going to abandon CB for it. read more

There are no surprises here. If you've been to a Chinese buffet before, you know what you're going to get. There are a couple things that set HKB apart though. First of all, the prices are cheap, especially with the coupons you can usually find in the paper. You can't beat a lunch buffet for $3.99. Even crappy food is worth that (and this isn't crappy food). Second of all, the selection of food is pretty good and there are a few stand-out dishes that are really good. The mala chicken is one of my favorites. They also have a grilled chicken dish (I think they call it BBQ chicken maybe?) that is just awesome. The won ton soup is always good, and I'll never turn down the teriyaki chicken on a stick. HKB is definitely an above-average Chinese buffet. It isn't in the big leagues yet because it lacks a hibachi grill and fresh sushi bar that seem to be becoming standard in the better Asian buffets in bigger cities, but HKB is still good for what it is. This place delivers solid Americanized Chinese food at really good prices. read more

Would have like the buffet but lately all Chinese Buffet offer nothing but Seafood or Chicken for me I can not eat seafood due to allergies and just plainly do not eat chicken very disappointing for the buffet. It was verified while I was present, that their internet wi-fi password was F Americans (with F word spelled out) I called and tried to find out why and after calling 3 days in a row, finally received a call from manager/owner - he would NOT explain why that was their password - simply scolded me for using the F word whenever I stated their internet password out loud. Horrible experience. Usually when I go to this place their food isn't always great and not really that fresh. Today was the last time I will be going here. My fiancé and I got our plates and sat down. I haven't even started eating when my fiancé found a medium length blonde hair. We waited almost 30 mins until we could get any waitresses attention. After the first waitress couldn't comprehend what our problem was we asked for a manager. The manager/waitress took the hair out of my fiancés hand and held it up to my head and said it's my hair and we planted it. They went to the cameras to see if we were lying, she kept saying it's my hair look blonde hair, but I have a full head of red hair that is much longer than what we found. After 30 mins of them watching the cameras they said they would only take one meal off. But I didn't even start to eat. I just paid $8 for nothing. No dinner. We will not be going back.
