As for me not comfortable chairs and a lot of tables ( I can only imagine how noisy it can get ) but my husband ( who lived in Asia pretty long) says that is pretty common in Korea . There is no Kids menu, but we ordered simple chicken. It still comes a bit pre-marinated and they mix it with cabbage, so my picky eater only had some white rice ad refused the chicken . This is best way to serve Korean BBQ! So many positive aspects to the way Honey Pig serves their meals. Parking is plentiful. They are located in the strip mall with the Giant Shopping Center. Seating is fun with their cute round tables. Service was excellent. staff was so attentive. That staff includes a very efficient "robot". Check out my video. We did the AYCE A, so many options including a large variety of sides. My favorite part of the ordering process was selecting my own appetizers. Too many times, at other Korean BBQ, they place these apps in front of you and we may not want them, a waste of food. The hot apps we selected were "hot beef dumplings" , Jap Chae, individually fresh made Corn cheese. We also had the scallion salad, rice and more Jap Chae. Our meat selection included lots of Brisket, Bulgoki varieties, spicy and regular marinated. It was a lot of food. We had to stop eating. Total for AYCE A is $27.99. read more

I have been here pretty often and it is kinda cramp inside because some tables are too close to each other. Service can be good or bad depending on who you get and how busy they are. My worst experience was with an older lady server and she tried to multi task but didn't seem to prioritize certain tables and our meats got burnt. The meats are pretty good but once I got either an old slice of meat or something. The quality just tasted different and we have ordered this cut plenty of time. read more

Being generous with the 3 stars for the dinner at the Ashburn Honey Pig. We have been to this location before so this experience is really unusual. Been to the OG at Centreville many times as well and have never encountered what happened as well. We ordered two grill meats the Kalbi Beef Rib and the spicy Pork Kalbi. Both were burnt and at different grill with one right in front of us. Our Beef Rib Kalbi was burnt so bad they did not even bring it to us from the other grill. The servers were paying more attention to the AYCE customers than us. They did re-grill the meats but by the time it was done all our other dishes, rice, and soup were cold. Another odd thing this time is we had to ask for our side dishes as well. Just really disappointing dinner overall. With all the AYCE, hopefully the service at Centreville has not change. Ashburn is closer and less crowded but this dinner forces a decision on service versus convenience. read more

Been going to this chain for years. I feel hit or miss about this particular place. Pretty average fair, especially with their AYCE. Different quality from their regular items. Comparing this to other Kbbq places its just ok. Service is the same. Most of the time we cook our own as service feels lacking most times (staffing shortage maybe). Check your receipt as last time gratuity was added on the check (added automatically when you're a group of 5 or 6 people). Maybe a mistake? Space is good, clean. I was a fan of this place until my husband had a terrible experience with the manager. I was not with him at the time as he was eating by himself after a long day at work. He ordered the AYCE meal. His server was amazing but the manager was standing by watching my husband like a hawk. He said that she kept telling him that whatever he did not finish he would be charged for at the end of his meal. She also reminded him several times about the 90 minute limit. There were times when she told him he was ordering too much and towards the last 15 minutes of his 90 minute time limit he couldn't order more. The server was very apologetic but my husband's meal and experience was spoiled by the manager. According to my husband he has never experienced such rudeness. Granted, my husband does have quite an appetite, but when you offer AYCE, that offer should be honored without shaming and without harassment. We were longtime customers of the Honey Pig Franchise and would have family gatherings at their locations, but this has spurred us to take our business elsewhere. Authentic and great quality meat. Our group of four came here for a late lunch last Saturday. This location in Ashburn just opened at the beginning of the year so everything is new and clean. There are no lunch specials on weekends. So we ordered 2 spicy seafood tofus and 2 Kalbi Bibimbaps from regular menu. The tofu soup had crabs, shrimps and mussels. The kalbi in the bibimbaps was tasty and tender. Open, clean, fun, bright, sparkling with music and K-pop blaring like you might envision a lively eating spot in downtown Seoul. * No all-you-can-eat (AYCE) but if you order right, you don't need the AYCE concept - and you'll get better quality cuts of meat, large a la carte portion sizes AND the skilled authentic Korean servers will grill your meats to perfection for you! * No pesky 1 1/2 hr time limit per party. We LOVE honey pig. We've been making the hike to Annandale and then Centreville for yearsssssss; and now we're so so happy there is one close to home. There were definitely some kinks and issues they've since worked through since they first opened. This specific one is now by far our favorite spot. The restaurant is brighter/newer/cleaner, the music is less loud, and they are super sweet and accommodating to the kids when they come with us! I think the staff here is also the friendliest! This most recent visit, they offered balloons and ice cream to all the kiddos. And when there's a birthday, the whole restaurant turns into a big party for one minute. The kimchee is a little spicier than I remember compared to the other spots, but I like it! We always order the seafood pancake, brisket, and pork belly. We will also sometimes get the spicy pork belly, rib fingers, and kalbi. They offer a piece to taste to make sure it's cooked to your liking before they take it off the grill, which is a nice touch. If you haven't tried it yet - ask for fresh garlic to be grilled - ask for lettuce to wrap the meat - ask for the sesame oil sauce Monday-Thursday they have a $40 lunch special which is awesome. The menu says for 2 but it fed 3 adults and my kid with leftovers. And random fun fact- the honey pig lady/bird nest lady/owner/ms.kim said she individually painted all the little paintings at all the restaurants! read more

I've been a fan of Honey Pig in Annandale and Centreville for about 15 years, so I was excited when a new location opened in Ashburn. Although our family has visited this Honey Pig for a while, we had an exceptionally nice visit today, and I had to leave a review. Warm welcome. Friendly service. Tasty food. We left incredibly satisfied. The brisket and LA galbi are our usual favorites, but we also tried the fried mandu today. The mandu came out quickly, crispy, and tasty. Banchan was also delicious. My family found out a Honey Pig location was opening up a location in Ashburn so we tagged along when they decided to try it. We came in on a Saturday afternoon around 2PM so we got seated immediately but there were still a good amount of people in the restaurant. I could tell they haven't been open for long because I could see the owner directing the servers at some points. There were 6 of us and got seated at this somewhat small round table. Not much table space but we made it work. We just decided to order the Premium Special Combo for the table. Not sure how many people it was meant to feed but it looked like a lot on the menu. The highlights were the Kalbi Beef Rib, Brisket, and Pork Belly. The banchan around the table were good but there wasn't that much of it. The meat was cooked mainly by our server and it was ok but they forgot about us a few times and the meat got overcooked a little. Also wasn't sure about water refills so I just started grabbing water jugs from the tray behind me. It wasn't my favorite Korean BBQ experience but it did its job mostly. The meat portions were a little disappointing size wise, especially for the price. I'll give them some leeway since they just opened but I'm not sure I'll be back anytime soon. read more

Service was friendly and staff wanted to make sure we knew what was available on the menu before we ordered. 2. Food tasted fine. Some meats were flavored and the others that weren't, you had a choice of sauce to dip in. 3. I'm a fan of the Korean BBQ style restaurant sides. 4. I liked they cooked the food at the table. Cons: 1. Portion sizes were okay for a family of 4. 2. The menu does not offer "all you can eat". 3. If you prefer to cook your food, then this may not be to your liking. Overall, I would go back. This is a new Korean BBQ place in the area. We came here for dinner on a Tuesday and even so they were quite busy! Honey Pig BBQ is the talk of the town! They have plenty of cool posters throughout the restaurant and a rather industrial look which I find unique and fun. That being said, I felt the food quantities were sufficient for two people. We ordered the pork belly along with the (1/2 n 1/2) pork and baby octopus, and Japche. We could have filled up without the Japche even tho, I'm glad we got it. For dinner, there is currently no option for unlimited meats for one price which I have seen at a lot of different places. I do wish they had that here so that I could try out more things on their menu. Here, you are encouraged to cook your own meats but if you are unsure, there are servers monitoring who will help you out. We did not even have to ask, they were happy to help. What a terrible experience. The place was relatively full and only 2 cooks was the first sign. They took our order really quickly and we provided it, 1 brisket and 1 thin sliced pork belly with an order of Mandu for my youngest. The brisket and pork came out promptly and the brisket was cooked with full attention. Me and my eldest were enjoying it and the pork belly went on, no sign of the mandu. We continued to eat but the server was cooking for larger parties, the pork belly burned to a crisp. Still no mandu and the pork belly was rock hard. Asked again about the mandu which was obviously left off the order, me and my eldest sat and didn't eat and watched my youngest son eat for another 20 min. I asked for a box for the remaining mandu and told them we didn't eat the pork belly because it was burnt. The lady stated that is how they cook them. I left the leftover mandu and tipped 20% after the blatant disregard for the service and the quality of the cook. I told them not to pack anything and we left. Spend the extra couple bucks and go to Gogi and have a better experience. This place has no room for drinks or additional sides. I would stay away. read more

Went here with a party of 4 and did not get any service at all. There were only 3 tables including us and they prioritized the big group. They didn't bother checking up on us and we just had to keep using the button to call them. We basically cooked everything since they were trying to dump all the meat on the grill while it was not hot enough - we didn't wanna eat boiled meat. They also added auto gratuity for a party of 4. I don't mind auto gratuity, but for a bad service it feels unfair. I don't think we're coming back. Thanks! read more
