We went back to Honey Donuts today. We were about 2 hours earlier at 8:30 am. The man and the woman remembered us from last week. Unfortunately, they were already out of cinnamon rolls. They apologized. We assured them it was no problem, that we understood. I was excited they had Ham and Cheese Croissants! We selected a few other donuts. As we were talking to them the man placed another donut in the box that she had mentioned but didn't get. He said it was for not having the cinnamon rolls. We thanked him and said it wasn't necessary, but we appreciate it very much. The woman said next time let me know if let me know next time you are here. The Ham and Cheese Croissant was incredible! So were the other donuts we took home. They are very customer service oriented. We will be back!

Best apple fritters! They're flatter than the norm but that allows every bite to be like a crispy edge piece. A must try if you love apple fritters.

a display of a variety of donuts

The lady was kind and I liked donuts! The glazed one I like better. I will try different one next time.

The location can be missed if you blink, located on Railroad Avenue at the corner of 13th where there is a traffic light. Parking may have only been on the street, but there could be a lot. I have been wanting to come over, but donuts are a luxury in my mind...some find them to be a food group. I wanted to do something nice for the Fam-Bam on Sunday morning so I ventured out and parked. The shop was not big, but seemed very clean to me. It had a few tables with problably some regulars that were there because they seemed to fit. The guy behind the counter gave a big greeting and before you know it I had my purchase in hand and making a short drive back home. I had decided on three maple bars (one for each of us) and an apple fritter...just because I have been thinking of my dad recently who was a big fan of them and we had fond memories of going for donuts on Sunday. When I got home I gave out the portions like a momma bird to her young...they were greeted with the happy chirp-chirp that really enjoyed the tender, fresh maple bars. In honor of my dad I decided sit down with the apple fritter which was big enough to share. I was immediately taken back to my youth with the hints of cinnamon and large tender apple pieces in the fritter. All of agreed it was the best we had ever had and I honestly thought about it the rest of the day. Really good stuff....a definite Fam-Bam location for donuts in the future.

Hands down, the best donut in town!! Love their custard filled chocolate donut (Boston Creme) they are not stingy on their custard. The dough is so soft and fresh and perfect!!

A friend of mine recommended this place and now I make sure to drop by whenever I'm in the LA area. Try the cream cake - it's sublime.

This place is still great! Donuts scones and muffins - everything is delicious…read more This is a mom and pop shop! I saw a recent review somebody saying they don't open until 11 - maybe they reviewed the wrong place - I stopped by yesterday for some treats and they were open - hours start at the crack of dawn That being said the owners deserve time off and because it's a small business - sometimes hours might change and they might be closed. - call and check! If there is something you really want - call ahead. The nature of the business is to sell everything. Because it's an independent small place - overbaking would lead to waste - food and money wise I always figure if they don't have what I thought I wanted - it wasn't meant to be and gives me an opportunity to try something new So grateful for the tasty treats they provide

TLDR: worth the drive for their blueberry scones alone, scones often sell out fast; go early or…read morecall ahead. Friendly service, cozy vibes, but the muffins run too sweet. Stevenson Bakery is a classic mom-and-pop bakery with a cozy, no-frills atmosphere that feels welcoming and local. They open super early in the morning and close at 1 PM, so timing matters. When my husband first stopped by to grab blueberry scones I'd been craving, they were already sold out. The owner was very kind and suggested calling ahead to place an order on hold since the scones can sell out quickly. When we did get them, we ordered a dozen blueberry scones, and they even added donut holes to the box, a really thoughtful touch. The scones are excellent: warm, slightly sweet, with the perfect crunch on the outside and juicy, fresh blueberries inside. I'm in the San Gabriel Valley, and these are absolutely worth the drive (minus 1 star for the long drive). The muffins were a bit too sweet for my taste, so I'd skip those and stick with the scones. Warm them in the oven for a few minutes and pair with a glass of milk!

The new owner has ruined what used to be a great donut store…read more I'd drive 45 minutes to buy donuts there because I haven't been able to find a better donut shop in southern California. But yesterday, I made the 45 minute trip for the last time. The donuts used to be big, they had a lot of frosting on them, and they had this amazing donut that was glazed and then dipped in either chocolate or maple that were outstanding. Unfortunately, the owner retired and sold the donut shop to her nephew and he's ruined the business. Now they're just like every other donut shop. The donuts are smaller, they're very greasy, they now only have a small amount of frosting on the donuts, and he decided to no long offer the glazed donuts dipped in chocolate or maple. I also think he changed the Fritters donut recipe because they no longer taste as great as the recipe they had before. Their donuts have always been expensive, but it was worth it because the donuts were so amazing. Now they're still expensive but it's not worth it because the donuts are just like the crap donuts at every other donut shop, and so I won't be back.

I can only eat donuts occasionally, so it's important that I make good choices. This donut shop is…read moreterribly inconvenient for me, but well worth the drive. It's nothing fancy, just a few counters and old decor, like it's been around forever...which it has. Who cares what it looks like? Those counters are filled with a large assortment of the biggest and most beautiful donuts in the valley. The fritters and cinnamon rolls are the size of a plate. Do you want your cinnamon roll with icing or crumble topping? No problem, they have them. Buttermilk donuts and old-fashions? Choose chocolate, vanilla, maple, glazed or plain. All delicious. By the way...compared to other shops in town, they are a bargain, too. Probably the least expensive shop but delivering large, high-quality donuts baked on site. Service isn't overwhelmingly friendly, but it is prompt. Not worth ditching a star for, but smiley faces are better than not. Personally, I'm not going there to be friends, I'm there for the donuts and coffee, but a smile for everyone would definitely help. Strongly suggest this shop for donuts!
