Stopped by around 11:30am on a Saturday. While they did just make some glazed and sugar donuts, there were not many other choices available, as the early birds got there first. This is a very small donut shop in a corner strip mall with plenty of parking on a Saturday. They have a glass case about 3 sections wide. I had heard about their mini Apple fritters and they had one left with my name on it. Actually, I got it for my husband. Apple fritters are his favorite and he prefers a smaller one. I enjoyed a Buttermilk bar which was delicious. It was large so enough to have later. The clerk was very friendly and the coffee fresh. They have a small sign on the counter that says they prefer cash. No problem there. We don't get donuts often, but the next time we are up for an early donut run we will see what other selection is available. read more

Why isn't this place more famous? We enjoyed raised donuts (glazed and frosted) that were succulent. If there were a Hall of Fame for apple fritters, the Spudnuts incarnation would be there- this legendary confection balanced the sweet and savory within a cloudlike, but toothsome pastry. Worth the trip! read more

Couldn't count how many times I've been here. I have been coming since I was a child when they were across the street. The best donuts at the best prices made by the nicest people. These people put their heart and soul into their business and it shows. They're personable and care about their customers. Speaks volumes that they have been around so long. read more

Dropped by this particular donut shop one day after spotting them. Was hoping they would be good as the other Spudnuts shop I had tried. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by the staff member who was sitting and reading. The shop was unkempt and disorganized. There was about two trays of donuts left in their display cases. The presentation of the donuts was not impressive. Everything looked like it was just dropped there and was not appealing at all. Because of the appearance, I only purchased one donut. I chose their Maple French Cruller. It tasted decent, but nothing worth coming back for. Bottom line, this experience was not a good first impression. Live near by so after living here for 5 years, I gave it a try . Bought a plain croissant. It was heavy and dense. Brought it home. Took a bite and hand my teeth flossed by a long piece of black hair (I have short brown hair). Disgusting! I will not be back. read more

I tried this for the first time and boy are they worth it. The donuts are soft, and very delicious. There's an interesting and pleasant texture that I think the potato flour brings. The variety is excellent and the service is quick. I also think they are extremely cost effective considering how many you get. I will be back. I highly recommend if you're looking for a quality donut. read more

I have been to the former location across the way on Bouquet Canyon before and loved my experience. Newer location is smaller inside. Great tasting donuts and nice people. However today was my first time at the new location on Seco Canyon and I was a little disappointed. The donuts taste awesome. They make theirs light and fluffy unlike the average donut shop which is more cakey. Most of the donuts are much larger in size than other donut shops too, so dunking in your coffee will be a challenge - haha. I lost one star for the poor selection. Not sure if it was just this morning - 7:30 on a Friday, or what but there were only the basic donut variety out. Not many variations on frosted sprinkles like you would expect, especially the day before Halloween. I was looking for some festive orange and chocolate treats. Another note was the lack of muffins. They literally had 3 muffins out. 3 chocolate chip muffins total!!! No other flavors. I asked if they had any more and they said no - not for today. Again it was 7:30am on a Friday. Hmm so yea I left a little disappointed. Great tasting donuts but light selection, at least for today. read more

Spudnuts is still our favorite donut shop!! Got our usual order that I get on late start Wednesdays. Regular donuts are $1.00 ea. Why would you go get less tasty donuts that cost more?? Dunkin charges $1.29 for regular donuts and $1.89 for a tiny apple fritter that only had the apple in the glaze on top, not in the fritter like Spudnuts, which is TWICE the size and costs $1.80! I tried Dunkin for the 1st time on Monday....I won't be going back. The jelly filled donut cost less but my daughter said it was gross! She loves Spudnuts raspberry filled and my son likes the Boston creme filled...which again are both bigger than Dunkin versions! #spudnutsarethebestdonuts read more

i would be giving this place 5 stars for the best apple fritters you can't get anywhere else BUT today's experience dropped it to 2 stars . . . so i stopped by to buy a dozen doughnuts, i usually go to S&S but figure i always come here for the fritters, why not grab a dozen this time when I asked for it, I said id like the dozen doughnuts and aside from that, an apple fritter on it's own so basically one dozen doughnuts+the apple fritter what did i get? exactly 12 doughnuts, which included the apple fritter, PLUS I was charged the extra for the apple fritter being a "premium" doughnut... above all else, you really have to be THAT cheap and not give a baker's dozen? never getting a dozen doughnuts from here again read more

Spudnuts Donuts makes a poor cronut-style donut knock-off. I've tried them from six local shops and this place is way down at #6. After driving more than half an hour to get here around noon, I was lucky to get one of their last cronuts. Unfortunately, my luck ran out when I finally decided to try it. I could only manage a quarter of it before giving it to a friend. There was no flakiness or finesse to it and all of the custard just soaked through the cronut. I can appreciate the effort, but this was far from my favorite and definitely not worth the drive. I'm glad every donut shop is selling out of their own imitation cronut, but I would avoid this place altogether if you're looking for something special. read more

There's nothing too fancy or amazing here, but I always leave with yummy amazing-smelling goodies. Make sure to come early because the options definitely do dwindle as time passes! In the morning you might get lucky with fresh donuts that are still warm! I'm a fan of the blueberry donut (I think they're just made on weekends), glazed donuts, and chocolate croissant. Honestly if you just see something that looks appealing just get it because I'm sure it'll be good. read more

Almost Out of donuts on a Sunday morning around 10:30... really????? The people are nice but ... it's a donut shop. They should sell donuts. Am I crazy? Store did not seem clean and smelled . I ended up going to another shop in town which may have been more expensive but at least they had fresh, good smelling donuts. read more

After the hype of the new Dunkin Donuts opening across town; I was caught up in the opening day crowds. And giving them two tryouts, both terrible, we started trying Spudnuts again. Vastly superior to the above mentioned. The Glazed are near perfection. My family raves about the taste here. I've had better (Winchell's) but definitely my go to donuts in Santa Clarita now. read more

I was getting donut holes for an event and was deciding on this place or another bakery that was closer to my work. I had not been to either location before. I chose this one and I am glad I did. The donuts were fresh and delicious. The only downfall is that they charge you to use a debit card. Now that I know next time I will bring cash. read more

This place looks like your regular hole in the wall but because it was the closest place to stop at before heading to work, I went in for a doughnut. I don't remember what I got (Most likely glaze), but it was so fresh. There is no doubt that they make their donuts fresh every day. I love their cleanliness, that's a BIG plus! I even ordered a few donut holes a few weeks later to take to my daughters class and the same thing, fresh donut holes made that morning. They were still warm. Love this place! read more

I also think he changed the Fritters donut recipe because they no longer taste as great as the recipe they had before. Their donuts have always been expensive, but it was worth it because the donuts were so amazing. Now they're still expensive but it's not worth it because the donuts are just like the crap donuts at every other donut shop, and so I won't be back.

We have kids in sports so grabbing a box on a Friday or Saturday night is normal for us. Yesterdays box had all the crap kids won't touch. Two dry cake donuts no glaze, 1 coconut donut, 1 blueberry donut, 1 jelly donut, 1 eclair donut, 1 chocolate buttmilk, 1 crumb ( kid took), 1 chocolate cake (kid took) and something else. They were so dried out it was clear it wasn't same day. $7 is nothing, but the disappointment for the kids is EVERYTHING. Let's be real, who can afford $30/dz donuts?
