Carnivores will love their High Protein Bowl with added steak and house sauce. Comes with sweet potatoes, avocado, mushrooms and quinoa. Delish!!

First this place has the best interior. Everything centers around healthy and green, so the interior is a soft green with vegetables as part of the decor. It really sets the tone that you've come somewhere healthy to eat. Orderis straight forward, pick a standard bowl or build your own. It looks similar to chipotle style however everything is very fresh and the prep area is kept very clean. Certain bowls come with freshly prepared meat, such as the steak bowl so your meat is piping hot. We decided to go with standard bowls and ordered a piro piri hot chicken, Athena Greco and the Playa Del Mar. Our server was quick, efficient, and friendly. Since one of our bowls would have freshly made steak she offered to bring out all the food when it was done. This place was so delicious. I will always come here when I'm in the area. The portions are large so if you aren't super hungry you can share or make two meals from it. Each bowl is perfectly portioned. Of all the bowls the piri piri was my favorite especially the tofu goddess dressing. The bowl had all the right flavor and texture combos: hot, cold, crispy, salty sour and the dressing took it all to the next level. Although I expected the piri piri to be spicy, it was not.The playa Del Mar had a good amount of steak and I loved the toppings however I didn't love the dressing as much and put the tofu goddess one on it. My cousin had the Athena bowl so I didn't try his but it looked amazing and he came back a second time before leaving the area so I think that speaks for itself. I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this to anybody in the area.

They have a variety of different bowls or you can make your own, which works well for my family. I was very impressed by the freshness here! They grilled up fresh salmon and steak for our bowls when we ordered them, and all the ingredients tasted so fresh. I got the owaloha salmon bowl and it was so well balanced, filling, and fresh. One of my favorite meals I ate in the area. Will definitely be back!!

Was very excited to try this fairly new healthy bowl eatery and it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and delicious and the bowl was plentiful. Pricing is moderate-pricey but on par with the food quality. Service was prompt and friendly. As this is the only location in the U.S. I hope it does well and they expand to other states. Will definitely revisit next time I'm in Myrtle Beach. 10/10

We arrived on Christmas Eve Day for a late lunch and were greeted as soon as we walked in. The women working there were friendly and helpful. I had an acai bowl that was delicious. My boyfriend had the Farn n Fly chicken salad that was a very generous serving. Both were fresh and flavorful. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for fresh, healthy food.

The food was good, but not $25 good for a bowl and a bottle of water. I got a "build-your-own" and she told me how many of each to choose- base, protein, toppings- and my only up charge was the $1 for goat cheese. It would've been great for $15 but $25 for one person for this seems a bit much.

Visiting Myrtle Beach for a short vacation , I was in the mood for something fast and easy but healthy. With all of the greasy fast food joints around, it seemed my options were slim. I came across Honest Greens when I was enroute to Publix and was well surprised. The service was fast, the protein bowl was spot on and the interior of the restaurant was cozy. I gave a 4 because the staff wasn't so very welcoming. I may have visited in a bad day, In surely will to return.

Vegan heaven We had our monthly meet up here on the recommendation of one of our group members, and we will certainly return as a group very soon. Every single person who ordered LOVED their meal. The staff clearly knew what vegan means (and what vegan, gluten free means) so no one in this vegan meet up was concerned the order would be made with animals in it. It was so wonderful to see vegan items clearly annotated on the menu for the different items, further allowing us to order with confidence. The food quality is good-cooked to perfection and fresh. Staff friendly and cheerful. CLEAN restaurant. Reasonable prices. So easy to be vegan with great food like this. We can't wait to come back. read more

OMGazing!!!!! I absolutely love this restaurant. It's an amazing and healthy affordable place to eat. There is so much deliciousness to choose from. I had the Owaloha Poke Shack. Eight here and at blueberries right next-door. Can definitely compare the two. Food was good but not as good as next-door. The cauliflower definitely is seasoned and spicy, which was a surprise. It was very nutrient dense as well as tasty. I'm downloading the app & will be a daily customer while on vacation here. It's no lie. I am a tall, big guy and want to have a decent salad now and again and I am tired of having to tell this restaurant continuously add more lettuce. They want to put as little as possible in the bowl. I do not appreciate it when I tell them ahead of time and they proceeded to ignore me, you are paying the high prices at this place for salads you should get what you are paying for, and not feel like you're getting ripped off !!! read more

In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.

Luckily I saw a packed place on Mr. Joe White Avenue called Simply Southern Smokehouse. Place looked legit and had a full parking lot so I pulled in. There is only one way in and once you get in, the cashier is on the right with the $15 all you can eat buffet right next to it. The $15 also included all you can drink soft drinks, water and sweet tea. I paid my money and grabbed a plate and ran right up to the buffet. They start out light with vegetables and sides, working up to the main courses of fried chicken, fried fish, pulled pork, smoked chicken and some hot wings. After that, they had some mac & cheese, and then the desserts which was blueberry cobbler, peach cobbler, homemade banana pudding...and a couple of other things. I started off with some broad beans, stewed okra and tomatoes, smoked chicken and hot wings. I brought my plate and my silverware to an empty table, which was getting hard to find as the place was so packed and then went up to fetch me a glass of water to wash it down with. They serve Pepsi products and of course sweet tea but I was going to save my calories for dessert. The place was clean, well lit and the seating was well designed with booths along the wall and tables in the center... and plenty of room between the tables. Once seated I dug right in. The broad beans were excellent. Done right and full of flavor. The stewed tomatoes and okra, although cook correctly was a bit bland for my liking. The smoked chicken was excellent and I used a bit of the golden SC BBQ sauce on it...great...and homemade. The hot wings were the real deal meaty and moist with a nice kick. I finished the plate in about five minutes. Time for round two. On my second trip up, I put some collard greens, lima beans, a piece of fried chicken and a piece of fried fish on the fresh plate. As I sat down to eat, I put a bit of hot vinegar sauce on the collard greens and dug in. The collards were excellent and the homemade vinegar hot sauce gave it a bit of a kick and bite. The Lima beans were soft and loaded with flavor. I then moved on to the fried chicken, which was cooked correctly with the skin crispy and well battered and the meat moist on the inside. That said, it was bland. Given how well the beans were seasoned I was surprised. Same thing with the fish, but they had a real good house sauce for it which gave it a nice flavor and saved it, but overall both the fried chicken and the fried fish were bland. I then went up for a plate number three and realized I was not gonna be able to eat anymore mains, which was a shame since the pulled pork looked great... It will have to wait for the next time I come. I did, however leave a bit of room for dessert and I'm glad I did . The banana pudding was delicious with a full banana taste and 'Nilla wafers on top and bottom adding a bit of crunch. I only had enough room for one of the cobbler so I chose peach and it did not disappoint. Nice and warm with a sweet peach flavor and tasty crumbles. I wanted more but controlled myself. As I got up to leave, I placed five dollars on the table for the cleanup guy who was hustling and keeping the place neat and tidy. I then looked around and noticed this was a real local spot full of people from Myrtle Beach. You have families, elderly people, young people, construction workers and people from local businesses. For $15 it cannot be beat. Not only will I be back again but I plan on bringing some of my friends from up north who are going to love this place...plus I gotta try that pulled pork and Mac and cheese...if the fried chicken and fish have more seasoning, I'll up them to 5 stars.

The avocado was perfectly ripe, the seasoning was spot on, and the pickled onions and pineapple pico de gallo added so much freshness to the dish. Every bite just worked. I also learned that the owner attended culinary school in Cape Town, South Africa, and spent years cooking while traveling around the world. Even the name "Lekker" comes from a South African word that's often used to describe something delicious or enjoyable, which felt pretty fitting after that meal.
