The service is good, their ac is amazing. They have free drink refills and their food is pretty good, portions can be a little small.

I loved my Latin Lovers salad. The dressing was a savory bomb with a little spice. Very flavorful.

On my visit, I got the custom salad with lettuce and rocket plus 5 accompaniments: cooked spinach, cooked broccoli, grilled mixed vegetables, tomatoes, and smoked salmon. I chose the creamy yogurt dressing and sprinkled on plenty of oregano, black pepper, and olive oil from the counter. I also tried the turkey sandwich, which came with lettuce, tomato, and zingy mustard sauce, as well as a juice of mango, orange, and carrot. Both of these were good, but a bit overpriced for what they were and for the portion sizes. The salads, I found, were a better value, and the combination of flavors you can get is simply excellent!

You can pick the type of lettuce and they have three different types of baguette including six grain and gluten-free . You can eat in or take out. I'll be back.

Both are nice spaces but being a solo traveler it was a bit depressing having to sit alone in a dimly lit empty dining room looking out a window while others were dining in the lively space with an open kitchen. I understand that's how it is when being a table of one but moral is to make a reservation if you can b/c that would have been a better dining experience. The menu offers so many choices and is very vegetarian friendly. The server was helpful and provided recommendations. One thing I thought was tricky was how he brought bread to the table and asked "would you like some fresh bread and dips?" before putting it down. Since I had read reviews I knew to asd "doesn't that cost extra?" to which he replied yes so I opted to skip it. Especially because I was alone and most def couldn't have eaten all that food. The falafel hummus bowl was excellent. The hummus was perfectly prepared and beautifully creamy. It was served with warm pita that you could taste was housemade. That was some of the best pita I ever tasted. I also chose a watermelon basil mocktail which was very tasty. I wish I had room for dessert but was stuffed by the time I walked back to my accommodation.

When we were there about an hour before closure, they did not have a lot of ingredients and could not fully make declared menu items. They also did not seem to be bothered by that at all, or offer you any substitutes without charging extra : ) After some back and forth and repeating/confirming our order, we still did not get what we wanted, but decided not to make a fuss about it. The food was fresh and tasty. Some interesting non-food additions to our salad bowls (like inedible flowers), but when in Lisbon... eat the flowers? : ) I got the strawberry ginger lemonade, and it was actually one of the best fresh drinks I have ever had. I highly recommend it - super tasty and refreshing. Overall, it was pretty good. One star down for customer service oopsies.

We waited an exorbitant amount of time for our food, and while the presentation was cute, the food was tasteless. I asked for a side of the granola just to have something to eat. The ambiance is cute, but unfortunately that's all I give it.

Watching the chefs in their element preparing the dishes was so cool; for such a tight space, they were a well-oiled machine. Here were my favorites: 1. The tomato soup with egg. So, so simple, with only two main ingredients, but perfectly executed. I'll need to try making this at home with the immersion blender. 2. Pan con tomato with jamón ibérico. I'm sitting here writing this review and crying a little on the inside that we in the States don't have such easy access to quality ingredients to make such a stand-out dish. Grilled bread, tomato spread, and the best jamón I've ever tasted. This was an order we added at the very end and I'm glad we did. 3. The sweet rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream and toasted rice krispies on top. I was almost too full to function by this point but still made room to demolish this dessert. We also got the grouper stew, which was pretty good, but at that point, I had basically gotten the same dish multiple times and this one didn't particularly stand out. Definitely make reservations! There are two seats on the street but I personally wouldn't want to sit there as there's a ton of foot traffic in the area (plus the cars drive pretty close too so you're also breathing in fumes and exhaust). The standout--and must-order--dish is the cod with egg (their refined take on the classic bacalhau). Other highlights included the mussels, pan con tomate with jamón ibérico, and the seafood rice, which is deeply flavorful and ideal for sharing. Every plate arrived beautifully presented and thoughtfully seasoned. The space is chic and energetic with an open-kitchen vibe. Service was polished and knowledgeable, though it gets busy fast--reservations are essential even for a Sunday night. Tapisco is ideal for a stylish night out, a special dinner, or anyone wanting to experience modern Portuguese cuisine done right. Memorable and crave-worthy.

I didn't realize the Portuguese eat a little bit later at night. It felt like I was in my own private restaurant so that was super funny to think about. Otherwise, though it was such a vibe, it has such a cute interior with paintings on the wall a Christmas tree on the side and a more modern wooden finish. Bathroom is also located on the first floor and it's very clean. Service was fantastic. My waiter, Nabil, was so friendly. He chatted with me and told me a little bit about Portugal. English was not a problem for him and I had no trouble as an English tourist. Service was fast, and he checked in with me every couple minutes. I had gone here as a recommendation from a coworker, and it was fantastic. The duck confit was cooked so tender and served with rice and spinach. The rice tasted cheesy and rich and it was also perfectly balanced with the meal. I highly recommend that as a dish! Otherwise, though, I ordered the green wine and it was pretty good. In Lisbon, I was told to try the green wine because it's from a specific region. It tastes kinda like a Chardonnay.

Pastries de Bacalhau - the crust was not brown enough. May be longer time. The stuffing was flavorful but it's more the cod taste than the flavored mash potatoes which I prefer. I actually prefer the other local restaurant I tried the night before better. Caldo Verde - The potatoe part of the soup is great. Perfect viscosity but the flavor is not. It wasn't salty enough but more importantly is the flavor of the veggies and the spicy sausage they supposed to use that makes the soup taste different. Grilled giant pawns - The flavor of the prawns is not as intense as expected and hope to be. The squid ink pasta also lacked of flavor. That's disappointing. With the prawns, they should at least use the prawn shell to make sauce for the pastas. The pasta was tasteless, didn't even use enough garlic and olive oil to flavor it up. Seafood rice - Another disappointment. They used fish, small mussels and little bit of shrimp pieces along with some bigger whole shrimps and mussels. However, the rice was lack of the true seafood flavor that made from shell fish. They also added cilantro which overwhelmed the whatever left of seafood flavor. The lemonade was not a sweet lemonade but sour. Fyi. It's not fair we just went to another restaurant in the neighborhood and everything was so much better but people should know.
