DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE, GO TO HONDA IN PALMDALE INSTEAD! I called Honda in Palmdale and told them my AC wasn't working, I suspected it was a part under extended warranty due to a recall. They told me no problem, schedule your appointment & bring your car in. Their nearest appointment was a few weeks out so I contacted Lancaster Honda. I explained the suspected recall, they said it was no problem bring it in tmr. Both places said if it is one of those parts it's covered. I made arrangements to bring my car in before work. My dad checked in the service while I waited outside as his ride. He brings me a bill for $420! As soon as I get to work I call the number listed on the bill's paper which was circled & highlighted. It wouldn't go through because it wasn't accepting calls or no longer is service. So I googled the number I originally called when I made the appointment & called back. The receptionist told me if what's wrong with my car's AC is one of the 3 components on recall than it would be covered. *okayyyy* Then she tells me but if not your ON THE HOOK FOR $450 FOR RUNNING THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. (Keep in mind my bill says $420 hers say $450) I was extremely upset bc this wasn't mentioned the day before when I called and made the appointment. The receptionist asked me what my bill says word for word. It DOES NOT SAY diagnostic test = $450. It says "MISC(cellaneous) = $420. Then she explain that was in reference to the diagnostic test. So let me get this straight the HIDDEN FEE was covered up but I was suppose to "miscellaneous" meant $450? So let's say 1/3 components on recall was faulty on my car, if anything else in conjunction was faulty im automatically charged $450 on top of the secondary part plus labor of $185/hr. Even if they found something else wrong with my car's AC I would be charged $450 without the option of walking away & getting a second opinion, simply because they said so. My concern was if a business was trying to be shady then ofc they would find any and every reason for it not to fall under the extended warranty with the 3 components listed on recall in order to charge me $450 or anything else wrong outside the 3 components covered to justify that charge. Mind you the $450 wasn't for labor (I double checked) the bill they gave my dad when he dropped it off because I understand labor costs money. Even if they wrote labor on the bill & charge me $300 I would've paid it. Then I tell the receptionist I don't want my car worked on, she tells me she cant guarantee my car hasn't already been touched. I asked her to find out if it had been because the service center open @8am & my call to them was time stamped on my call log for 8:11. I seriously doubt in 11mins of being open they are already working on cars. She told me that she can take a message and the service advisor would have to reach out. I told her that wasn't good enough & these hidden charges disguised as miscellaneous are ridiculous. I asked for whoever is above her and she told me it would be the service advisor. I said okay well I need you to note my account or something saying as of rn I don't want my car being worked on my Lancaster Honda because Ik what's gonna happen. The service advisor is gonna call me in 2hrs or after her lunch and say it's too late & charge me $450. She told me well I can't guarantee your car isn't gonna be touched & you're on the hook for $450 for a preliminary inspection when the car was dropped off. I told her absolutely not it's unacceptable & requested and email. She told me they don't email customers...??? So if I was a company how would you send an invoice. She just told me the service advisor will call me. Thankfully she did soon after. I told her I didn't want my car being worked on & she said she would waive the $450 because it hasn't been touched. She was helpful. I recorded the conversation & told her I would pick up the car after work. Then again I called Palmdale Honda just to double check, & yup that's not the case with them. They are gonna run a diagnostic for those 3 faulty components specifically. If it is 1/3 then it's covered & free. If not they call me and ASK if I want to run a more extensive diagnostic for $300. If yes, they call me with their findings & a quote. If I want to go through with it then they'll charge parts and labor ofc like normal. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHY THERE WOULD BE A $450 DIFFERENCE FROM PALMDALE TO LANCASTER (15min drive) IN A "COMPETITIVE MARKET" lol there's a reason why Walmart price matches for Target & vice verse despite being independently owned that's a BIG difference & sneaky because it wasn't even itemized correctly on my bill. I would like you to keep in mind she just took her car to Honda on Reseda for oil change. this dealer ship try to up sale her on services that were NOT need it one was alignment second one was a brake flush. Now 6 days before going to Lancaster to get warranty work done. The other Dealership did not mention any of these items that need to be worked on only thing was a air filter & cabin filter that need to be replace. Be aware of the service dept. Trying to up sale you for jobs your vehicle does not need specially because you are a women. And might try to take advantage of you not knowing what to do on your car. I check my wife brake fluid clear no need to even be touch at all. And the alignment I took her car to a friend of my mind that works at Discount Tires and they found no need to do any work on the car. This is my 3rd vehicle from this dealership. Overall good experience! They are a standard dealership so the overall process is the same, you tell them what you want and how much you want to pay. They laugh at you, they bring you an offer for way more than you wanted to pay. You laugh at them and then the negotiation begins. Pros: Salesman Nick was super knowledgeable of the vehicles and tries his best to get us in the vehicle we really wanted. Great communication and great explanations of what features and options came with cars and was the middle man for the next guy Noe, the sales manager. Sales manager Noe was the numbers guy and after some back and fourth, did his best to get us what we wanted at the price we felt comfortable paying. Finance manager Younes then had us sign the 30 forms and explained all coverages, costs and was not pushy or overly aggressive in any way. It was as simple as "this is the coverage, this is why I recommend it and this is what it costs". If we declined he didn't pressure us in any way and moved on to the next one. Great experience there too. Overall, solid team of folks who will do their best to get you in a quality car at a price you feel comfortable paying. Cons: Time for the process. Took at least 7 hours over 3 days which was part our fault for be sticklers over certain things and for going on a Saturday to finish paperwork when that's when the finance department is the busiest so we had to wait awhile. Kelly Blue Book Values. We had a trade in and KBB had a price we expected to receive. They offered less than KBB and explained KBB is a guide but not necessarily what a dealer will pay for a car. This normally would not be an issue but they have a large Kelly Blue Book sticker inside the dealership which to me says that what they use, when in reality, they don't so they should take the sticker down. Those are both small issues though and I would still recommend them over any dealership down the hill. Prices were better here from my research and the team there really works hard to help people as much as they can. Just be understanding that they can't make miracles so if you are looking for New Honda Accord and want to buy it for $150 a month, the math won't be mathing for you and that's not the dealerships fault. read more

Dealer won't honor what promised. I called to check on a fuel pump recall and talked to Evelyn. I explain to her that my pump was already replaced and I was having issues. She made an appointment for me and I asked if I will be charged t which she responded that I won't be charged. I mentioned about the high mileage in my vehicle and she said it won't be an issue and that all I have to do is mention that my fuel pump was already replaced. Got to my appointment and after 40' of waiting, Mr. Cody Broderick, I think that's the name of the Service Manager, informed me that I will be charged for the diagnostic because of the reasons that I explained on my phone call. He said it was an 11' minutes call. Yes. It was 7' waiting and 4' of conversation. Yet they didn't want to honor their word. I had to change my schedule, cancel a appliance tech visit to my house and send my daughter to school in Uber, all of this for their BS. Scammers. Thieves. Very disappointed read more

They were both so thorough and patient considering how late it was and made sure I left that night with the car I wanted. A very disappointing and frustrating experience. I had an appointment for an AC diagnostic on Monday at 7:15am. Upon arrival, I was asked if I can leave the car for "a few days" for the diagnostic alone. I said I could not, but could leave it all day Monday and most of Tuesday if needed. The desk clerk said they were swamped with AC diagnostics and would likely need the car through Wednesday as well, but I was unable to do that and decided to leave. I understand that there are uncontrollable factors that can lead to a poor customer experience, but this is the second time that I have made an appointment with this dealership (and taken time off of work), only to be turned away. If there is something beyond their control that contributed to the service backlog, then they should be doing everything they can to ease that burden on their customers. Three full days for an initial diagnostic is unreasonable in my opinion, especially considering that there is a known issue that led to Honda offering an extended warranty on the AC components that are presumed to be failing right now. I was not offered a rental, an apology, or given any assurance that I would be a higher priority if I brought the car in at a later date. Further, if there is a three day backlog for a diagnostic, then everyone with a scheduled appointment should be proactively receiving a call to reschedule so they do not take time off work only to face the same inconvenience. I went thru the Costco auto program to buy my accord sport. It was a good deal, they knocked off 3.5k from the msrp. No haggle and no confusing sales tactics, pretty straight forward. After I bought the car they explained everything in detail, all the inside and outside controls. Pretty friendly overall. The Honda corporation itself has been knowingly selling faulty Civics and CRV's since 2018, so be sure to look into the issues with the a/c on these cars before you buy one. With that said, that of course is not the fault of this particular dealership. What IS their fault is the fact that they've repeatedly refused to honor manufacturer warranties, have rude and unprofessional service consultants, and are absolutely impossible to get a hold of. They will call and email you every week with spam, but if you try to call them they simply won't answer. The phone just rings and you can't even leave a message. This has been going on for well over a year so it's not a short-term issue. Beyond that, good luck getting your car fixed under any warranties at this location. They will string you along and always find some OTHER part that was the "REAL" problem, in direct contradiction of independent mechanics' diagnostics. I have no idea how they've made it this far without being sued into oblivion, but hopefully that changes soon. read more

She is extremely knowledgeable about service contracts and even got approval for suspension repairs presented to us years ago by previous technicians and advisors there which we didn't think would be covered (and were originally quoted out of pocket for). We were blown away by this great news and Talia's going the extra mile to determine coverage. Talia's communication is also excellent. She kept us informed every step of the way for both visits, closely monitoring the status of the backordered part and reaching out as soon as it arrived. She was up-front about delays due to technician trainings and vacations, scheduling us on a date after they would have had time to catch up. This meant bringing the car back a little later than the part's arrival but greatly reducing the time it would be in the shop, something that is very appreciated. I thought they would inspect my car for free but instead they were going to charge my $375 for a diagnosis which should have been covered under Warranty. I am not one to typically write reviews but people should know. BEWARE! I don't even know where to start. I took my car in because I heard a light humming sound coming from my front end. They had my car from 8 am til 5 pm. After having it all day they recommended rotor resurfacing. They charged me $320. When I picked my car up it was 10x WORSE. now upon braking the car of making a loud howling noise. In the past week they have had my car a total of 4 times ALL DAY for them to tell me I news new rotors and they are trying to charge me another 600 on top of the 320 dollars I spent. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOUSE OF HORRORS unless you want your car to come back in worse shape than you brought it to them. As much as I didn't want to deal with them anymore, I had to take the offer to get this fixed, so I did. Keith, the service manager, was very courteous and prompt, he apologized for my inconvenience and ordered the part right away. My car is finally fixed, so I have to update the review and give credit where credit is due. Nonetheless, it's still not full 5 stars, since this kind of dishonesty from the mechanic should not have happened in the first place. I do appreciate that they do their best to fix the problem without arguing with the customer, just wished I didn't have to go through it in the first place. In April. My car dash lit up like a Christian tree. Contact dealer. Took my car in and I was told they need to perform a diagnostic on it. Ok. Left the car there the first day. They didn't call back. Contacted them and they said they need more time. The next day again caught a ride to and from work. They never called. I had to go there after work to check what was up. I was thinking something is up and something shady was going on. The adviser Talia finally presented the paperwork and advised me, that my car needs a new fuel injector system with the price tag of $1,700.00 and that they ordered the part will be here the next day without my permission. I was so passed, told them how how I really felt about their dealer and how money hungry they were, took my car and left. Called the Palmdale Honda and they said my car just needed a Fuel injector cleaning of or a fuel injector cleaner fluid in my next fill up. Lord behold I did just that. For $9.00 for 2 bottles of fuel injector fluids. For less than $5.00 i got my car fixed. Very disappointed at this dealer. My family have gone there for over 20 years but ever since they changed owners its all about how much money they can get out of their customers. Purchased a 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid in January and was told that the vehicle included a 2 year or 24,000 mile maintenance plan. So I go in for my first oil change and tire rotation at 10k miles and they said the plan is not included. It's only included on the 2023 models which they did not have yet in January which is why we purchased the 2022 model. It's so shady that they can say whatever they want to get you to purchase a vehicle then say "oh no there's nothing in the notes." Well we won't be purchasing another vehicle there. 89 year old mother took her 2001 Honda in for a sticky transmission lever. She was told she needed $6300 for breaks, a timing belt, struts, cleaningup the transmission (something had spilled inside) and a battery cable. She refused all services, except for the transmission clean up, which was to be $500. When she got the car, they charged $400, but total price estimate was now over $9000. She had brought the car to them in November of last year, at which time none of these problems had been mentioned. She took the car to a reputable shop and none of the extra items were necessary. Honda Lancaster takes advantage of elderly people, and I'm sure there are people her age that just trust them and pay those amounts without double checking. read more
