C- BUILDER..... On a good day.
I'm shocked at the several positive reviews posted on Google. Clearly, those people have not wasted any time getting to know the real Tony, or his astounding skill for sub-par craftsmanship....because most of them are realtors. They also haven't bothered to look at the numerous negative reviews on other sites, including the B b B. The only thing more disgusting than Tony's inability to follow through on any of his promises is his complete lack of integrity. Tony's biggest flaw, other than his inflated self-worth , is that he puts his that same nonsense into fostering relationships and digging up gossip with each and every one of his home owners, which he then uses against them when things start to go wrong....because that's what "family" does. The truth is that J Anthony Homes is the Bernie Madoff of builders. They build architecturally absurd, obnoxious, tract homes. Tony works day and night making excuses for why his promise of delivering never happens or just completing ignoring the customer...and why the punch list is a mile long and never gets finished. I don't know when he has time to sleep, because that's a lot of excuses. That's why he travels to projects near his home, to personally inspect the lack of progress. He really cares about his home-owner's money, and wants to deliver the very minimum product for maximum profit. Tony is publicly committed to many popular causes for tax purposes and virtue-signaling. He is a monetary supporter of Veterans if it gets him another plaque to display, so he can get another like on his FB or google reviews. Tony has been marginally skilled, always shallow, and tedious to work with. We are done with our build, and were repeatedly informed of multiple extras every step of the way, that we were led to believe were included in the price of the home. Tony has made the process of building a custom home absolutely miserable. If you are looking to build a custom home, there are plenty of other builders out there....just don't use this guy. Seriously...run away.
As for "hiding behind a keyboard," maybe if Tony wasn't so likely to retaliate or withhold in some fashion against those who would like their issues resolved, people wouldn't have to vent their frustrations anonymously. In addition, if you're going to have every Realtor and acquaintance post glowing reviews, anticipate contrary views from actual home-owners. But unfortunately, they get taken down almost as soon as they are up. Most of the reviews are inorganic and reek of being coached for content. read more
