The girls took me here for my birthday and it was so delicious. Yes there's a wait, they don't take reservations for less than 6 people. Everything was great, highly recommend the lb, classic hummus was our favorite dip

The first thing you should know about this restaurant, there is a line in front of them before they open!! So go early and get in the line! We arrived as soon as they open, but the line was already long and we stood like 10-15 minutes in the line before being seated. The good news in summer they have outdoor seating in the alley so the line moves fast. The food is exceptional and there is a reason for the line, some of the items I ate for the first time ever and they are not your standard items served in every Mediterranean restaurant, like a dip made from summer squash! Lamb ragu on tahini! We celebrated a special occasion and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend and would stop by again! The menu is seasonal and very unique! I sat in the alley so can't speak about the ambiance much, to sit inside the wait was 1.5 hours. But by the time we left at 7:30 pm there was no line.

We arrived on a Friday night at roughly 7:30 and there was already quite a wait. For a table for 3, we were told we'd have to wait for about 2.5 hours which we honestly were not thrilled to do. However after we expressed that we didn't want to wait that long, we were told that if we wanted outdoor seating they could actually seat us in less than half an hour. We chose the outdoor seating option and took a quick stroll in the quiet neighborhood before coming back. Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

Love everything about this place. The seasonal dishes, beautiful presentation, solid cocktails with excellent N/A options, friendly and professional staff who know how to course out a meal without making you feel rushed or overwhelmed with plates. They don't take reservations and people line up on the weekends before it even opens, but it's worth checking out.

Tried Homer again for the first time since before the pandemic and here's my honest take: The food? Delicious. The flavors were thoughtful and really well executed, and honestly the pricing felt fair--which is saying something in Seattle right now. But... would I stand in the rain at 5pm on a Wednesday again? No. They don't take reservations, and it feels pretty clear why--everything runs like a well-oiled machine designed for quick turnover. Normally I wouldn't mind efficient service, but this crossed into feeling rushed. Our bill was dropped while we were still eating, just about an hour in, and the vibe quickly shifted to "thanks for coming, time to wrap it up." Would I go back? Yes--if someone else wanted to go. But I'd only do it right when they open. Waiting in line just to feel hurried through dinner isn't worth it. Overall, great food, but the vibe, service pacing, and no-reservation model really shape the experience.

Three of us shared four dishes and one soft serve was the perfect amount of food. Everything was super yummy and fresh. Highly recommend the three dip (current seasons is beet and it's my fav) with the flat bread. The flat bread comes out steaming. Trumpet mushroom is Smokey and juicy. Lamb comes in braised form and kebab both really good The soft serve swirl has the perfect texture and flavor. Would come back again!

Truly amazing celeriac dish with a side of pita bread!

My hubs and I have walked by the lines snaking outside Homer many times. We've bought their excellent soft serve from the side window but haven't ever eaten dinner there...until last night. Now we know why those lines have been forming for years. We lucked out and were seated immediately because the Mariners were in the playoffs and there were less people eating out on a Thursday night. We chose to eat at the bar because it was empty and we like having more space around us. Props to our bartender who asked us if we had any food allergies, and then because I can't eat dairy products, patiently explained and recommended all the dishes that had no dairy or could be made dairy free. First, we started with dessert because, well, why not? We knew we wanted to eat their excellent soft serve so instead of saving room for it after dinner, we ordered it right off the bat. I had the vegan carrot maple and my hubs had the swirl with carrot maple and brown butter cardamom. Both were delicious and served prettily in frosty silver goblets with long spoons. Delightful! Then, following our friendly bartender's recommendation, we had the roasted celeriac for an appetizer with a side of pita bread. What the---?!? We have never had this vegetable before but it was AMAZING. Caramelized on the outside, tender on the inside, and bathed in a multidimensional coconut broth with mint, parsley, lentils, and pomegranate. It was a revelation. Next, we shared the roasted chicken with chili fruit sauce. How good can chicken get? In the hands of Homer chefs and their wood-fired oven, it can get damn good. It was absolutely delicious and seasoned perfectly. It came with grilled bok choy and everything sat on a pita bread that soaked up all the savory juices. We ate half the chicken and took the rest home. Can't wait to shred the chicken up and use it to elevate whatever dish we make with it. The food at Homer is both homey and exquisite. It is a little familiar and quite a lot not. It is inspired by Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine yet it cuts its own jib. Thank you to the whole team at Homer for a wonderful experience filled with friendly service and food that surprised and delighted us in many ways!

5-star soft serve takeout window experience! Even if the window is closed, just walk up and a bartender will see you and be with you shortly. There's 1 vegan flavor and 1 non-vegan flavor. You can sample and get them swirled if you want. The seasonal vegan maple carrot was SO good, and tasted like the ice cream version I never knew I needed of the Thanksgiving side. It tastes very much so like carrots, so I recommend for the carrot lovers.

THE BIG: Located in the North Beacon Hill area of Seattle. This place is always packed everytime I go. Indoor and outdoor seating available. No reservations, you have to put your name down and wait. Street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here with the friends we were staying with and fortunately we were seated immediately. They had space outside and we quickly snagged it. For drinks, my buddy and I got a bottle of txakoli while the ladies got a butterfly tea spritz and a NA penicillin. For food, we got ALOT. Here is the list: a set of three dips, extra pita, whipped garlic, feta dumpling and mushrooms, burnt cucumbers, grilled pork, lamb ribs, and a sausage dish. All were great and my favorite dish was the lamb ribs. Although you can't go wrong with the whipped garlic with the pitas. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for this feast was around $340. I thought it was well worth it and I'd definitely be back to have more whipped garlic.

Came here after seeing it everywhere on yelp. Seems like a highly sought out restaurant in Seattle. We came on a Tuesday night around 6:15 and were seated around 20 minutes later. It was very crowded but if you come around 5 or 6 the wait shouldn't be too long. Our server recommend the trumpet mushrooms which we thought were weird and rubbery and came with an odd egg sauce. I would not recommend getting that dish but other than that the food was good. We loved the salmon and dips we ordered. Nice ambiance in here, employees are very friendly. Really cute restaurant. I like that the dishes aren't overly large the portions are just right not too heavy. My mom loved the halva chocolate chip cookie she got for dessert.

Great staff amazing food love the local ingredients. Impressed with the cocktail list especially the foot beer aperol spritz. Impressed not sure why there is a 3% operations fee that just sounds odd added to every check?

We had a great time at Homer with my boyfriend's brother and sister in law while we were visiting Seattle. They love Homer and I am happy to say it didn't disappoint! We had great small plates and lovely cocktails. Our waiter was very attentive without bothering us and the restaurant vibe was perfect. Nice and cozy without being too quiet and romantic. The decor was super cute too. I love being able to see an open kitchen space.

I loved how cozy this place was! We got there near opening so we luckily snagged a table without a wait. There was a little bit of a wait by the time we left as well and you have to wait outside due to the small space of the restaurant so keep that in mind. We ordered a ton of dips to share with extra pita. Additionally we got a few small plates and some salmon to split amongst the three of us which left enough to take home as leftovers. As everyone also says, get the whipped garlic!!

How busy is it on s Saturday night?

Hi Wayne, Thanks for reaching out. Saturdays tend to be pretty busy. Depending on what time you show up and your party size, the quoted wait time could be anywhere between 45…

What is the noise level in the restaurant?

It can get pretty loud-- since the restaurant is on the smaller side, the tables are fairly close to each other and with larger parties of guests, the chatter builds up very quickly.

What are some vegan or can be made vegan options on the menu?

Our menu changes on a near daily basis so best to check in with your server when you come, but I can definitely confirm there are loads of ways to make our menu vegetarian and/or vegan friendly!

Does Homer allow byob or a corkage fee?

hi craig! we do have a corkage fee of $20 per bottle with a max of two bottles per group. hope this helps!

Can we bring our little one there? Found many places only serves 21yrs old and above.....:(

Yes! I brought my son at 7 months and he sat at my lap at the bar. He made friends with the lovely folks who were cooking and serving and absolutely loved the food. We came back with him and another couple later and sat in a high chair. He loved it…

Which was part of the reason I visited a few weeks ago. I actually have been wanting to try Yalla for awhile, and just recently figured where it was located. A bit out of my way from work and home, but the day I decided to go was perfect. I was meeting friends at Sake Nomi which doesn't serve food so you're allowed to bring some in. I had two hours to waste so it gave me plenty of time to get up to Capitol Hill and back to Pioneer Square. Yalla is a walk up window with a bench outside to sit but I imagine most people take the food to go. I was sharing the food with five other people so the three mezze dips was the perfect option, I also added the special dip of the day that had 100% proceeds going to help those in Nepal. I also added one of the pressed Saj, the grilled Kefta a lot easier to share. One of my friends wanted the Lamb wrap so that was included in the order as well. Love how fresh the ingredients were. Each dip had distinctively different flavors and textures. Saj was included two different ways to enjoy with the mezze in its soft flatbread form and as a cracker perfect for dipping. My favorites were the Muhummara and the Nuraniye (Zuchinni Dip). I liked the tanginess of the Muhummara and the fresh lemon forward of the Nuraniye. The Kefta was delicious, I need to carry a knife for situations like this when sharing food we ended up ripping off pieces this came with Labneh. I definitely want to try a wrap next time and well their toum sauce. Service was friendly and helpful when I was explaining there was a group of us sharing the items.

The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!

Finally some amazing Mediterranean food!…read more We moved to the PNW from SoCal about 4 years ago and it has been so hard to find good Mediterranean food! There was a spot in Cap Hill that we used to love to order takeout from, but we live in White Center now and that is just too far. We decided to give this place a shot and we were so glad we were. The ambiance is great! Quaint, nice and colorful, and the service was so great! Our server (forgot her name but I think it started with a Z?) was super attentive, made some great recommendations and was so friendly. I always say I go to a place for good food, I go back because of the service. We had the sampler appetizer which was delicious and everything tasted so fresh. For entrees we each ordered the Mesopotamian lamb and beef with the basmati rice. Everything was excellent! The entree tasted so comforting like a grandma made it. And the simple side salad that came with it, that dressing I could eat just straight! Note, this is Turkish style Mediterranean food so you won't see the same style as say a Greek or a Lebanese style restaurant, but it was still fantastic! Note, the wine list was so different! Nothing from the US (which I'm okay with). I had the Portuguese vinho verde and it was nice and crisp and everything that I want in a vinho verde. I can't wait to come back to this place.
