I've used The Best Shades twice over the years. Both times, they were excellent. The first time was to install nearly 9ft wide shade across 3 panels of continuous windows. Other shade companies told me I had to break it apart into two parts because of the way shades are manufactured but Marat thought of an idea to select fabrics that look good horizontally and vertically so that the wide shade can be made horizontally. Great idea and great execution. The second job was to replace all the rest of the shades in our apartment. I didn't think twice to call Marat again. Efficient, professional, well priced and kind staff (my toddler insisted on peeking in during the install in each room and the team was very sweet to her).

Unfortunately I made a mistake placing the order online, and called the store after hours to leave a message explaining the situation. Someone called me first thing in the morning and was able to sort it all out. Everything was done quickly, and it was cut to perfection. The glass felt sturdy, and it has held up quite nicely. Everyone I talked to from order to pickup was super nice. Definitely would recommend for all your glass needs.

I am an advanced DIY'er and ordered this 3 panel sliding glass wall/door and installed it myself…read more My experiences with Crystalia were interesting but first let me say right up front, I love this door! It looks great, has no frame around the sliding panels other than the outer frame of the whole thing and the quality of the materials are absolutely top notch! But if your going to buy this sliding type of glass door and install it yourself there are a few things you need to know. They make the doors custom per your dimensions. This is not a, "you buy it off the shelf, and install it like any other door", setup. Since they custom build it to your specific opening they require very precise measurements. And I mean precise like using a laser setup and deltas every 12 inches. I had all the tools and did provide all the detailed measurement but the frustrating part is I was in early stages of construction so I didn't have the opening finished to provide the measurement which delayed everything about a month. But I will say when they provided the door, the frame did fit pretty precisely so they do cut it to your specifications. Since this is essentially panels of tempered glass with no frame, you get rails for the bottom of the panels that have rollers and adjusters on them that you have to install on the panels. This is not an easy task. There is a rubber gasket you have to wrap around the bottom edge of the panel first and then form the aluminum channel over it. It took a while to figure out how to get this done. Then you have to screw on the end caps to the roller rail and there are two different cap types. There are Zero - None - Nada - Instruction so you have to figure this out from watching their install video that has no words!!!! Yeah, I installed the wrong caps on the wrong doors and then had to remove all the doors again and change the caps. And the screw holes on the caps didn't all line up right so one screw got stuck. It was a mess. A set of INSTRUCTIONS would have been nice! The Glass panels are heavy! (which they do warn you about before you receive them) I have professional glass suctions cups that were a life saver in moving the panels. I did the install by myself but if you have help things will be easier. So with installing the frame and assembling the three glass door panels, and installing them, took pretty much the full day. I went slow and watched their video probably a dozen times as I went through each step as I didn't want to make any non reversible mistakes. Again, INSTRUCTIONS would have been nice! In summary if you're buying this sliding door from Crystalia and having them install it then I would give it 5 stars as I am sure they can install it easily themselves. But if your installing it yourself or having your contractor install it, beware, this is not like a typical door install and will require figuring it all out and more time than you anticipate. But as I said in the beginning, we LOVE the look of this door and the wide open view it provides and would absolutely buy it again. The quality is there and the cost was reasonable for a custom door.

A local business said they only worked on Hunter Douglas products and might not be able to get the right parts. Then... cue drum roll... Ziegler said they would pick up the broken blind and return it the next day. Turns out, they did even better. Sean came in the specified time window - hallelujah! - after calling to say exactly when he'd arrive - double hallelujah! - and happened to have the right part with him. He had the blind fixed and working within minutes. Pricing was reasonable, and obviously the service couldn't be beat. 1000000% recommended.

When we asked them, they even lied that our cords were purple. After the second time pick up, they disappeared for a week till we emailed them. Their answer was they need to send cords to get our approve. Question is why don't they sent earlier? Then, they ask us go to their store to see the cords after disappearing two weeks . Clearly, they didn't do our work and try to get more time. Don't go there. It's painful to work with them!!!! Go somewhere else if you have other better choice!!

We had an amazing experience with Darby and the team at 1 Day Window Treatments. Our Pilates…read morestudio needed both shades and drapes, and the first quote we received was from The Shade Store, which was insane, so we immediately brought out several more companies for a consult. Darby was super knowledgable, he understood exactly what we needed, and the prices were very reasonable compared to most of the competition. Because our Studio has two full walls of windows, we need to keep the sun out but also wanted something lighter for an aesthetic look and for some privacy. Darby suggested we do a UV Sun shade closest to the window, and then another track of drapes which we can pull when it's less sunny or at night when we don't need the full sun blocking. So we ordered both blinds and drapes, and both were done within the timeframe Darby initially quoted us (which was faster than the industry standard from what I experienced meeting other companies). The delivery and installation process was also great, as they were quite flexible working with our schedule around all the other work being done in our studio. Stretch the installer was wonderful. The final result is absolutely beautiful, and one of our instructors just today said "I feel like I'm in a spa." I met with 5 different local companies and I can 100% recommend this one and if we build another studio or need something done for our house there is no question we'll be back :)

Faulty product and poor customer service: I bought 6 motorized blinds here and 2 broke after one…read moreyear of light use, and they refused to help repair under warranty and asked for a fee. They also wouldn't explain what broke and claimed user error such as water damage despite the blinds being in a dry safe environment with almost no use. I'd expect for the price, they would help me understand what broke, as I couldn't trust paying for their repairs as it could just break again. It seems that connecting any battery wand to the custom sized larger blind instantly shorts the battery wand, making it impossible to use. Per M&A, this is user error, even though they assured me the custom blind size was fully supported. They aren't standing behind that, and there is apparently no way to fix my blinds purchased from M&A. For the price, you can certainly do better. Otherwise you may end up with permanently non functional blinds.
