I rarely give reviews because most businesses aren't excellent and so I don't bother. Now I will bother to write about my excellent first experience with this company, which quickly identified a black out roller issue via video that two other window people could not ; in fact, these two competitors' solution would have cost a lot more and would have taken weeks to implement. Indeed, there was a quick and easy fix, and this company made it happen within 48 hours. My tenant was thrilled that her visiting mother would be able to enjoy the view from the window. I had motorized shades in 3 different rooms installed by Innovation Shades about a month ago and they were excellent in every aspect. Shades - I'm very happy with all of the shades. All 3 look really nice, operate well (with the motorized parts), and do what they were designed to do. In particular the blackout blinds we had installed in our bedroom completely block out basically all light. The light-filtering blinds in the other rooms block out just the right amount of light, and are hard to see through. Consultation - Excellent. Michael came by for the initial consultation. He was chill and friendly and also really knowledgeable. He gave us good suggestions for what we might want in each room and even brought samples of different blind materials. His suggestions were great and led to the end result that I'm really happy with. Installation - Also excellent. The installers were fast and efficient. The install took under an hour to complete for all 3 rooms. Timeline - Very happy with this as well. Absolutely the best company to go to for in my case venetian blinds. Michael came out and measured twice to make sure because we were hanging two large mini blinds side-by-side on a very large picture window. He got it exactly right since they are custom-made. It took a while to get them, but when Sheldon came out, he installed them so rapidly and so well I was amazed. The staff at innovation is so polite, so helpful and so knowledgeable. The price of the blinds and installation was very much in line with some other quotes that I had gotten, and I would say pretty much what you would expect to pay today. So I feel that the pricing was very fair. I definitely recommend this company to anyone considering any type of window treatment. They have a gallery of pictures and they do multiple types of installations some very complex. I would not even consider going to anyone else. They have my highest recommendation. My previous mini blinds were getting old and did not work correctly , and it was a struggle to raise and lower them and adjust them. It was time for new blinds. We had a new condo with somewhat unique layout and 20 separate windows in unusual configurations. As a first time home owner I took my time and did a LOT of research before settling on a company to do my window treatments. When Dave came to my apartment I immediately knew he was truly an expert! Many of the other places I went to had so-so consultants (The Shade Store, Hunter Douglas, etc) that work with subcontractors who do the installation. That's definitely not the case with Innovation Shades! they have their own expert team - from consultants to installers - and you can tell the difference right away.
