We hired Amity to replace a deck that was pretty much falling apart. Joe rightly told us that the understructure (joists) were not going to hold new deck boards, and he was right. Whomever built the original made a mess of things, so a complete tear-away was needed. This necessarily involved the town building inspector, who was a real stickler for detail. Joe worked with him throughout the job to both satisfy the building codes and our desire for the finished product. Joe was "on the job" every day and his crew was certainly among the most efficient I've ever seen on a big job. On top of all that, even though the job expanded with them having to pour several new footings, the quoted price held from start to final payment.
