Of the 3, Building Concepts presented the most comprehensive proposal for a complete job. The owner, Jim Kirtopoulos, was always prompt, professional, innovative and realistic in his dealings with us. The Building Concepts proposal was not the low bidder but included everything required for a truly finished "turn key" project in contrast to the other Contractors who left flooring, finishing, HVAC, & electrical work, etc...up to us. Given some COVID19 supply chain delays, Jim was very flexible and forthright with the impact on the build schedule...suggesting some really great options based upon prompt availability. He designed a clever and very functional accommodation to the floor plan for an automatic "Doggie Door" with landing and ramp. His construction team and sub-contractors (Electrician/HVAC/Gutter & Downspouts) were all really good folks to deal with. We are very pleased with the completed 4 Seasons Room and highly recommend Jim Kirtopoulos & Building Concepts.

Not only do they offer competitive prices and have excellent customer reviews, but they are locally owned by Steve O'Keefe. I also appreciated their old-fashioned customer service over the phone. Before I hired the company, Steve, along with manager Manuel Amarillo, were very generous with their time and provided me with a variety of products and quotes. In fact, the "leading brand" window company that I had previously conducted business with now "requires" two homeowners for a window quote. Really? What a demeaning tactic. Anyway, I made the right decision by hiring Window Depot. From start to finish, Manny communicated with me every step of the way and showed up at the exact time promised and handled the job efficiently with a smile on his face. The team also includes Louis, Jeffrey and Pedro. EVERYONE on the team is friendly, professional, honest and accommodating in every way. Window Depot's windows are USA-made, energy-efficient and come in a variety of timeless styles and designs. Interestingly, after a relatively long wait, the factory delivered a defective window, but it was replaced almost immediately by the factory. They really are a five-star company. (I removed a half of a star because we had a garbage pickup issue that was finally resolved!) THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM!!! the owner, Tony Thompson is a scam artist... plain and simple... I was…read morenew to CT and was put in contact with Mr. Thompson to have some prints drawn for a commercial project I was working on. The ONLY instructions I gave Mr. Thompson were "i need prints drawn so I can obtain a building permit"... After he took his measurements, and drew up some prints I proceeded to meeting with the town Building Department. They laughed at the prints he had drawn, and made it very clear that I had wasted both, their and my time. some measurements were off by 5"+ and the total number of windows in the building was incorrectly accounted for. The prints he gave me clearly had "NOT FOR BUILDING PURPOSES" written on the prints. I confronted Mr. Thomson about this, and he said that he would make the revisions... (which I had to pay for).. he made his revisions, and I again went to meet with the town. They again, laughed at what we had presented them. After relaying this information to Mr. Thompson, he said: "sounds like you need a licensed engineer and architect for this project" to which he referred me to a friend of his (an ACTUAL engineer who can produce STAMPED PRINTS). HE MARKETS HIMSELF AS AN ENGINEER AND ACRHITECT, WHEN IN FACT HE IS NOT LICENSED AS EITHER!!! ...this would have been all speculation, however, I met another local business owner who had the exact same experience as I did with him, and was out a few thousand dollars. Tony Thompson took on a work assignment from me, full well knowing that he was legally unqualified to perform the work that I had asked. He took my money, full well knowing that he couldn't do what I had asked, and gave me a month long run around before finally telling me "i am unlicensed to do the work that you have asked" HE IS A DESIGNER THAT MARKETS HIMSELF AS AN ENGINEER AND ARCHITECT.... all he can do is draw pretty pictures....
