The A Plus Siding and Roofing teams, who installed a cupola on the garage, performed the work with excellent attention to detail. They were professional, hardworking, and a pleasure to have on site. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend A Plus Exterior for any siding or roofing project.

The work on our roof was done in a highly professional manner over a 2 day period. Even with a large crew, the work was done in a timely manner with minimal disruptions. I've been calling since Jan. 2024 with water coming down wall where chimney is, staining wall in living room. I've made appointments, spoke with Chris in Feb., now its March. Several missed appointments. Water damage worse now. Finally called and asked for them to be honest and if they didn't want my job because its not an entire roof. Said they will show up but I'm not holding my breathe. I started researching chimney masons. Too bad because they are pleasant on the phone but Noel has been using the same roof job excuse for months. I just saw a roof go up in my neighborhood in 2 days. Maybe I will call them for an estimate. Update...I'm changing to 4 stars from 1. Friday 3/15/24 I received a call from Noel that the worker, Anthony, was in my driveway. It was scheduled for Monday. I received no courtesy call changing the day and keeping me posted. I'm taking a star off for their scheduling issues. Anthony gets 5 stars. They are lucky they have a knowledgeable worker. He is great. I would recommend but will add to keep calling if scheduling an appointment.

He also explained his reasoning behind the construction decisions-which was really helpful for me, with limited knowledge of projects like this. Joe and Brian arrived exactly on time, and once again were able to explain all the work they were going to do, to make sure it was exactly what I needed. They worked quickly, and gave me a recap of everything they had done-which again was really helpful. I'll absolutely be hiring them again-and would highly recommend them to anyone else. I've been delayed in writing this review and that should not be a reflection on Patrick, Ivan and…read morethe rest of the crew. Our house is a 1770's colonial that hasn't had a lot of exterior attention in the past 15 or so years. Patrick came by and although he wasn't the cheapest guy I talked to, I liked his energy. I also liked that he had a carpenter who could address some of our neglected issues to take care of everything we needed all at the same time. The house came out great. I feel like I shouldn't have to do anything to the outside for several years. When I do, I'll give Patrick a call. We'll also be using them for some interior work when we get around to it after the holidays. Some things to know: Spend some time with Patrick walking the project and getting ideas on things that need to be addressed. He has a great eye and will notice things you've overlooked for years. Try to be on site as much as you can when they are there. Things come up and the project will go better if you can give them feedback in real time. Don't hesitate to ask them to do something over or differently. We had a few sections painted over a different color. It costs a bit more but they are happy to do what they can to make you happy. Keep an eye on your dog. Be considerate! One of my neighbors liked their work on my house and hired them to work on his. His dog bit 2 of their guys. That's not cool. If you have a dog figure out how to keep it from biting people when they work on your house. The house looks great. They are coming back to finish a few things for me and I'm looking forward to working with them again. These are the guys to use! I'll post photos one of these days!

I'll go ahead and start by saying that I wrote a lengthy email to the owner following the…read morecompletion of the exterior painting of my house with the goal of letting him know about my overall reaction to his work. I tried to paste that email here, but it was too long, so i'll summarize it below in a minute. Before I get there, the shocking matter is that the owner showed up at my house 4 hours after writing the email to confront me, telling me that I had plenty of time to tell him about the additional issues (it's been 23 hours...). While he was here, he said that my "f***ing house is a dump," and followed that with "you're a d**k, bro." I'm sure he'll respond to this post saying that's not what he said, but it all happened in front of my security camera, so it's hard to argue with a recording. The gist of the my email to him was that 1) the paint job looks pretty good (4/5) but that there were a few outstanding items that I had to handle (they took down the spot light and didn't replace it, the cable box was hanging off of the house, the touchups after I first raised an issue weren't completely done, and the paint chips were still scattered throughout the yard) - nothing crazy. I will also note that they did the job within a week of hiring, which was pretty cool. I then told him about 7 items that I found to be quite poor in terms of his operations: 1) They destroyed our garden with their feet and ladders even after advising that they stay out of it 2) When I told him two shingles needed to be added at the start of the job, they didn't do it - they just painted over the spots (note: they ended up replacing them after I flagged that it wasn't done right, and they look good). 3) Pat (owner) consistently failed to show up on time during the slots he said he would (3 times) 4) The price increased twice after he figured out they'd need to do more work (with no warning that this would be the case) 5) The crew was constantly smoking on the property 6) No one in his crew (himself included) wore a mask, including while talking to me while i was wearing one 7) Pat's communication is filled with expletives and slang - extremely unprofessional for a business owner. I told him all of this in a fact-based, unemotional manner, and said i'd give him a 3 for a review as a whole, which has now changed given his aggression and showing up on my property. As I write this, he continues to text me with aggressive rants about how my property wasn't safe for his crew (which he never mentioned - and if he thought it wasn't safe, he could have declined the job) and how i should have picked up after my animals so they didn't have to step in anything (which he never mentioned). To wrap - work product was pretty good - no argument there - but the owner and his handling of things was aggressive and incredibly unprofessional.

I've been a general contractor for close to 17 years but is not presently doing business, so I hired this company to do some remodeling for me at my West Haven residence. These brothers don't personally do the work themselves (thank God) as they sub everything out to sub contractors. The father is experienced but lives in NY, the sons takes their guidance from their father who comes to the job site once in a while to check out the work. This was a labor only contract since I had already purchased my materials before contracting with them. I allowed the brothers to order the rest of what was needed. When I got to the store, one of the associate that I've known for some years asked me was there a reason for me purchasing the most expensive installation they carry. He continued telling me that the installation cost well over a thousand and that the cheaper installation pretty much does the same thing. When I asked Fabian, (one of the brothers) why he had ordered the expensive installation, he said because it was thicker, smh... when a person's house is already insulated and is wrapped, there's no need for a thick installation. By the store sells man bringing this to my attention it saved me $800. Then there was the wood. Who orders pressure treated wood for inside framing? Ridiculous!!!! Which I may add is more expensive then interior framing wood. And who ever heard of 2x3x9... ridiculous!!! They text me telling me they need me to pick up some 2x3x9 wood, smh... These guys is a joke! So I say all this to add the fact that this company don't care about wasting customers money. Now aside from what I've already mentioned, the worse was them installing a bay window for me and not securing the window and it raining that night, or was it the skunk that got into my house after their workers left and left my side door open and me not noticing it was still open until that night, or was it my neighbors complaining about how the outside of my house was looking because these guys left trash, scrap materials, etc.. all around my house. The night before Christmas after installing my bay window, it rained and water poured through my window, ruined some of my brand new wood, and the back of my bed. This started at around 10pm at night and continued to after 4am Christmas morning. Every 5 minutes dumping buckets of water, aside from having a skunk in my house. Even after telling them about the skunk, I lived with this skunk for like seven days, oh and the skunk sprayed. What a nightmare... if you would like to see the video of this, it will be posted on Youtube today, titled... 'Beware of DAFA, worse Christmas eve ever!' And the end results is, DAFA abandoned my job before completing the work due my not agreeing to pay them extra money for another window that they agreed to install in another room. Oh one more thing I will mention is, "Make sure you get everything in writing from these guys.' They will keep coming up with ways to get more money out of you, and also be sure to lock them into a resonable start and finish date, cause they will drag their feet if you don't.
