Today ( July 5, 2021) Bob's crew installed the new roof in one day. The other roofs were removed and cleanup was fine. A good roofing company can be hard to find, though the other two companies that gave us bids seemed fine. But Bob did something extremely rare. His company called and told us most of the plywood we had was still good. Our final bill was $2500 less than the original estimate. Bob could have taken the new plywood back, charged me for it, and I would never have known the difference. Instead he displayed the highest level of integrity, so I recommend him as highly as possible.

The roof shingles themselves are fine but all of the trim work was a mess. Also there were numerous black marks all over the front and back of the house and also on the window glass. So I waited another month for them to come out and fix it. David had come out and took pictures of the issues, but when the workers came they had no idea what they were fixing. They drove away after an hour and I had to call back to have them finish. Also instead of fixing a shingle issue on a corner of the house (which was promised by David) they just painted over it thinking I wouldn't notice. So at this point of 3 months of hassle dealing with them, I guess I'll fix it myself. Another thing, they have left a large metal sign in front of my house for two months. I took it out and told them if they didn't come and get it I'm throwing it out. So it's June 5th and the sign is still here. This company just tells you what you want to hear, also charges you at least a third more then other estimates I received. I made a mistake I guess trusting the owner David. I haven't heard from him of course.

Mike and his crew showed up on time, on the date of my scheduled roof removal. They were the polite, personable and very aware of my dog, when stripping my roof (so nothing fell on her). They covered my plants, my bushes, my driveway, my sidewalks. etc. While there was roof materials falling everywhere, it was only temporary as they continued to clean up the debris as they went along. I've never seen such a messy job, completed so efficiently and neatly. The quoted timeframe to replace my roof was 2 days and it was completed on schedule. The cost was less than the other roofers I requested quotes and the job was completed as quoted with no extras. They used a huge roller magnet for my yard, driveway, porch, deck and the front of my house with a huge magnet and so far, have not found one single nail left behind. I would highly recommend Berkeley Exteriors. My roof used to leak into my bedroom closet; now my bedroom closet is dry as a bone and the roof looks beautiful!! Great job. read more
