We had roof done and also sliding door, although the roof was good the clean up was not up to par what the salesman said so, they did not cover the stairs on my deck and when they were finished one of the workers to my surprise was using a freaking razor blade to pick up the residue, I was shocked and told him to stop, next when we had the sliding doors put in the truck that they used put a big oil stain on my driveway, not to mention the missing piece on top. This is a Top class company from the sales rep right on down to the installers. I had Geoff come out for my estimate and when we agreed, it was not a penny more than quoted, no surprises. A great professional presentation in home. Mike and Jorge, the two project managers were on the site daily to inspect the works progress. The 3-man crew were there every morning and worked 10-12 hour days to get the project done on the 5-day deadline. They were meticulous, very skilled and their attention to detail was above anything I expected. They cleaned up every day and covered all their tools. They even did extra repairs that were not included in my contract, for no extra cost. The entire team was always in touch with me and also with each other. Michelle in the office was coordinating everyone, and I can't say enough about how smooth the entire project went. They did new vinyl siding and gutters. I interviewed many roofing companies, but when Geoff spent 2 hours with me explaining the entire process, I was comfortable. My roof was in worst shape than expected and Brown had to make a plywood run to Danbury to plywood the entire house. My home is so quiet now. I don't hear the wind blowing through the attic and it is warmer. The job was completed in one day, even with the setback. The crew was so hard working and considerate when I had to take my dogs out. SKIP BROWN ROOFING! I paid Brown Roofing $23,996.96 to move a drip from my living room to the garage in 2019! Every time it rains a little bit hard the roof leaks! I paid the extra money to put a "Klause on my house" a 50-year warranty, I think the saying should be put a "Curse on your house"! I have called a dozen times and they just keep saying they will send a guy who NEVER FIXES the problem. Here I sit at 3AM watching my garage food and getting ZERO back from the emergency line. If I could go back I would RUN from this place as fast as I could I would, do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs! My estimate is attached MINUS the extra $3.5k for 56 sheets of plywood. Please be very weary with hiring Brown roofing. in our situation, We contacted them to look at our roof and give us an estimate, Along with 6 other roofing contractors. We had Abdul come to look at the roof, take pictures and send us a estimate. After we received all the estimates, we compared apples to apples, and while brown wasn't the least expensive or the most expensive, we felt comfortable with what abdul was willing to add on to get our business. I think that was our first mistake. Abdul seemed very thorough in going through what needed to be done and even said that in order for his work crew to do the job, they would replace some damage wood or siding because they do a great job in his words. We signed the contract and sent in the deposit with the date to start of about three weeks from a signed contract. Then the silence began. No one showed up on the start date, no dumpster delivered nothing. we left messages on the answering service and with the secretary and no one called us back. Even abdul was silent for a while. Finally, we got a call that they wanted to come back out and look at the job two months after signed contract! After looking at the job, the worker that came out said that Ed the owner was going to have to come see it. Ed came out and looked at it on a monday and said he would call, and I received no call. Finally, on the thursday after I was able to get in touch with him after leaving many messages to which he said he will not come out and do the job because abdul underpriced it and he wouldn't honor the contract. I told him that I was willing to work with him and let's get it. Done so that we both take a little hit if that's the case, and he said, no. Abdul was his employee and priced out. Many jobs for him including ours, but Ed wasn't willing to do the job because it wasnt profitable enough! In his words, I have many lawyers, so sue me!! I would give them 0 stars if I could. I got my roof replaced by Brown and the team did a fantastic job. I just had a huge crack in my ceiling (Beyond normal wear from a roof installation. Definitely looks like an impact crack of either material or a tool) that my sales rep Mike said he would have someone call me to schedule a time to come out to fix. It's been a few months now and I am emailing nearly every week trying to get someone to get in touch with me to come out to repair it. Once my money was taken, it's like all communication stopped and I work for CN! UPDATE: I was rescheduled 3 more times and finally got the crack "repaired". All they did was cover it with spackle and paint over it. No sanding or anything else apparently. I could've just done this myself and produced a better result. There is still an obvious dip in my ceiling and I am expecting it to start falling apart in the next few weeks/months. Not only that but even though they covered my floor and table with painters tarp, there was still spots of paint around my whole dining room, and one of them even stepped in paint and walked around from the looks of the paint marks I had to scrub off the floor with goo gone. I cleaned paint off my chairs as well. Customer service was no help either as they always had an excuse as to why they had to reschedule (with myself/my husband having to miss work AND money for THEIR mistake). I would also like to add that while they advertise that they take care in making sure there is no damage or materials left on site so clean up is a breeze, they destroyed my daisies in the front lawn and have completely covered my attic in debris and sawdust. We now have to replace all of our insulation and get a thorough cleaning done because of the lack of care in keeping that space free of debris. I also had to ask the men who came to fix my ceilings to put masks on (they had to walk back to their trucks to get) in the middle of a pandemic (which one of their excuses was Covid - wonder why they have problems with that?). Overall extremely disappointed in the quality of the work and customer service I received after my money was taken. I will not ever recommend someone get their roof replaced by this company. read more

I hired Brown roofing to replace my roof, put vents out the roof, gutters with the leaf system replace the heat tape on my roof. All but the gutters done yesterday. I could not be happier at this point with the company! I absolutely love my new roof! From the first call to the instalation it was an effortless process. Every employee from the office to the project manager was patient and understanding. The crew along with the project manager showed up on time, we're respectful of me and my property. They work continuously without issues etc and finished that part of the job as paid to do. My opinion is many companies could learn much from this company here! I had a few concerns BEFORE the project began and not a single employee made me feel like I was being a pain in the ass. In fact they understood completely. I needed to replace some small flat roofs on my home and, to give a balanced review, I have no complaint about the flat roof replacement project performed by Brown's. However, in the same conversation with the Brown's sales rep about the roofs, I asked him to quote replacing the gutter system along the back of the house with a closed all-in-one gutter system. Was very specific that I needed a closed system as I am now wheelchair bound, can't clean the gutters myself and as I have many trees on the property, the cost of hiring guys to repeatedly clean the gutters is prohibitive. Got the quote, accepted it, had an installation, paid for it. Only to find out (months later) the quote was not for a closed system. I am told I should have known that the absence of the phrase "Raindrop Gutter Guard" (a phrase not mentioned by the sales rep) meant the quote was for an open system. So it turns out I paid to have my existing open system replaced with another open system. Brown's Production Mgr.s response to my complaint over this was "Tough luck". If I want to have separate covers installed on the gutters they installed, they'll charge full price. And by the way because I thought they had installed a covered system, I did not arrange for anyone to clean the back gutters and so get to worry again about clogged gutters and water in my basement. I understand mistakes get made, but a reputable company would do "something" to offset the mistake they made. Apparently, in my view, Brown's is not a reputable company. read more

I contracted with Brown roofing in October 2020 to replace a small, flat roof and 3 skylights. I paid upfront, and 8 weeks later they came to install my roof. 2 of the custom order skylights were the wrong size, so they told me they'd order more and come back. After 6 months, and 8 phone calls with no return call they arrived with only 1 of the 2 missing skylights saying they'd be back in 3 months. 6 months later I called again. 2 people came out on separate occasions, measured the existing skylight again, and promised me it would be ordered. 3 months later I called 4 different times when they told me they forgot to order it. It is almost June 2022 and after 6 more unreturned phone calls I was informed they forgot to order it AGAIN and it would be 12 more weeks. I paid for this in October 2020 and they have not offered me any return or rebate. My skylight is now leaking, my ceiling is ruined, and THEY STILL HAVEN'T MADE IT RIGHT. Please, don't trust other reviews. This company is full of scam artists who refuse to complete jobs and are forcing me to seek legal action against them to resolve a simple issue. No follow through. If they say they'll call you back, they are lying. Make sure you withhold payment until work is completed, as Brown roofing will keep your money and never complete the job. read more
