We had them renovate our kitchen and living room. Kevin gave us a quote in writing that spelled…read moreout what would be done, except for the electrical that would be determined after the electricians came in. He and his wife are very nice, and he had some great ideas of what we should do, such as track lighting. Also, after a removal of a wall that had 2 ugly baseboard radiators on either side, he suggested a cool radiator with a blower in the kitchen hidden by our pantry on top. He knows all the relevant codes for our town. His carpenter, painter, plumber, and electricians were very polite and skilled, and amenable to suggestions from us as to how we would like things done. Just know if you hire them, I am told all contractors these days have more than one job they are working on at the same time, so there might be days when no one is available to work on your job through Sweeney Building. My only experience in renovation before was in 2007 when I had two bathrooms renovated. It was a small company, they didn't have any other jobs besides ours, with only two workers working every day, so they finished quickly. So, I thought Sweeney building would work on our job every day, but that didn't happen. It took longer than I expected. But the finished result was beautiful, and we love our new kitchen and living, and we are very pleased! We don't know how if they more, less, or the same as other contractors, as we got a referral from a friend to get a recommendation/quote from Sweeney Building, and Kevin was so knowledgeable and impressed us so much we went with his company without getting other quotes.
