The team, led by Dwight Wallace, and including Jason, David, and Ryan, were all friendly, knowledgable, and persistent in returning to our home multiple times, in order to resolve our issue. They didn't give-up until the work was completed to our satisfaction. I had a very bad bee problem behind walls on my outside exterior of my home. They took the wall part, got the bees out, got rid of them and put it all back together. Please do not use this pest control company as they are very unprofessional dishonest and lazy they will charge you for services but never complete them. They charged me a lot of money for bat removal and exclusion from my attic, sealing the attic, and replacing the insulation. They never properly sealed the attic, therefore, the bats never left. Whenever I called complaining I still saw bat droppings, they gave me the run-around. They canceled appointments without notifying me multiple times. When they came a few times, they came with a much shorter ladder or no ladder at all, and they said they had to bring a longer ladder and come back (and they never came back), and lately they have been hanging up on me promising to research my complaint and get back to me, but not call me back. read more

They don't treat your crawl space and say they do. They replace your vents but leave the old ones laying in your crawl space along with chunks of concrete they've knocked out. When you complain, they take forever to address it, if ever. They are, however, very quick to take your money. If I could've given zero stars, I would've. Find another company. read more

The prior owner of our home had a termite contract with this company. We got our own termite company, and twice called this company to tell them that we bought the home and did not need their service. The guy was completely rude about everything, and refused to come get his termite baits. Now, 2 years later, he comes by when we are not home and takes the termite baits that our new company installed around our home. We had long since thrown his business card away, so we had to do an internet search for the company. They refused to transfer us to the local office because we told them what we were calling about. We had to call back and LIE and say that we were interested in new service to get transferred. I would never do business with this company. Zero stars! read more

I am a new home owner of a home in Williamsburg, Va. Home Paramount was used by the previous owner for termite control. They sent a bill to us in the previous owner's name within the first month of our inhabiting the home. I paid the hefty bill because I hadn't contacted anyone yet but attached a note telling them that we had just moved there. No one ever contacted me about a new contract. The whole year went by and they came once to look at the termite baits, said we hadn't any. When the bill for the future service arrived it was so expensive and STILL in the previous owner's name I decided not to renew the contract. After that I received several nasty letters a month telling me they would discontinue the service. The letters went on for months and then the last letter said they would send someone to pick up their termite equipment. Not only did someone come when we weren't there, the imbecile dug up our mole deterrents, left them on the lawn, came back for the real equipment the next day making a mess of our property. He was discourteous and highly unprofessional. read more

If you are considering pest remediation, please read my post. DO NOT USE HOME PARAMOUNT FOR ANY SERVICE. In December of 2017, we stared to see evidence of mice in our kitchen, so we called Home Paramount to do an inspection. Upon inspection, it was "found" that the mice were coming from our crawlspace, and that our insulation was "contaminated" and needed to be replaced. Our crawlspace is a conditioned crawlspace, so there is no insulation between the floor joists. The only insulation is in the pockets between the foundation wall and the floor joists. It was advised that we needed to replace the insulation. We received a quote of $3,500 to remove and replace the insulation, which I thought was a high - but passed it off as just "Northern Virginia pricing." Plus we told them we had a baby on the way, and they said we had to do something because of the risk of disease from mice feces. Home Paramount removed the insulation, but they put insulation in between the floor joists of the entire crawlspace without a full explanation of the scope of work that was to be performed. I asked the service tech why he was installing insulation where there was none before, and that it was not needed because it was a conditioned crawlspace, and he said he was just following the work order. Four months passed, our heating bills increased by about 200% this past winter from last, so I went to check the crawlspace to see if there was an issue with our furnace. The insulation had started to fall from the 'ceiling' so we called to have Home Paramount fix the issue since it was still under warranty. I asked them to completely remove their botched job and install it the correct way. No effort was made to compensate us for the overages. In my estimate, we were overcharged by about $2,200. We downright wasted our money from a company that took advantage of us. I REPEAT , DO NOT USE HOME PARAMOUNT FOR ANY SERVICE. read more

The worst! We were supposed to have birds removed from a vent and the area sanitized. Instead they screened birds inside my vent to thrash themselves to death. Awful! Never use this company. The billed us for work they never did and never showed up after multiple calls and emails to fix the problem. They should have negative stars for their dishonest and horrible service. read more

In June I called because I had a groundhog tearing up the front and back yards. I was charged $500 for a week of trap monitoring. At the end of that time, nothing was trapped. I was told that if I saw new activity, they would come back out. In September, I saw a new disturbance. They came back out and said it was a raccoon digging for grubs, and I would need to pay another $500. I declined. This weekend, I saw clear signs of ground hog activity and yard damage. I was told it would be another $500, then he said he could drop it to $450, then finally $400. Again, I declined. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Needs zero stars. Have the technician on video, walking thru center of house, doing nothing but walking, no corners, no purpose except to say he was there, did not enter all individual rooms. In and out of very large three level house in 4 minutes. I called to speak to management several times, asked to be called back, sent emails, never heard a word. Zero attempt to contact me to salvage a relationship with a customer, zero attempt to make restitution, zero attempt to be accountable. Every company has good and poor employees. A poor employee underperforming is not the fault of the company, so long as the company takes action once discovering the lackluster performance and makes the situation right. The fact that the management of this company ignored repeated attempts to grow a positive reputation, remediate an underperforming employee, and salvage relations with a customer means this single technicians performance is an indication of a culture within Home Paramount. Home Paramount as a whole, does not care about honoring their end of a contract and ensuring reasonably good service. They do not care about taking responsibility if falling short. They do not want or deserve your business. read more

Scam artists! Avoid this company like the plague. A few years ago I called them because they are local, and I like to support local businesses. They sent a guy to the house who quickly did the treatment I had asked for. But he didn't leave; he said he was waiting for the "inspector" to come and check his work. When the "inspector" arrived, he marched all through the house without my permission -- up, down, attic, basement. He delivered the results of his "inspection" to me with all the solemnity of a priest giving last rites to a dying patient. Then he quoted $4400 for a "treatment" that would bring the patient back to life. When I told him it was a no-go, he lowered the price immediately to $2200. When I told him I would not pay that amount, he asked, "Well, how much would you pay?" When I didn't bite, he lowered the price of the same service he had just quoted me $4400 for -- to $800! The straight-out false attempt to wring money out of me stays with me until this day. Until this unfortunate experience with Home Paramount, I had used Connor's Pest Control, and they were always wonderful to work with. read more

Home Paramount charged me $23,000.00 for a job that was not needed and was uncompleted. For a job, that I later found out, if performed by a reputable company would have cost $14,000/17,000. I was getting ready to move to Leesburg from across the country and thought my new house might need service from a pest control company. I did not know the area and called Home Paramount after seeing them online. Home Paramount "treated" 2 Steel structures for termites and 1 structure that had been pretreated for termites. Home Paramount "treated" the main house for termites when there were no termites. Home Paramount was to cover all of the holes and entrances that animals could possibly access to gain entrance to the interior of the home. They completed about 50/60% of the job. The list goes on. Home Paramount claimed over and over that the job had been done and done extremely well. Home Paramount lies. Home Paramount is at least an inept company and at worst a disreputable company. read more

I have used Home Paramount as my pest control company for 15 years. Not anymore! I had my annual termite inspection and two service men showed up. One stayed in the car and the other walked through my basement. He then insisted that his partner had to go up in my attic. I mentioned that they didn't do that last time but he was determined that the partner needed to go in my attic. It was a very hot day but I let him go in it. After a few minutes he came down and proceeded to tell me that I had a major mouse problem in my attic. He showed me a picture of mouse droppings in the attic I-asked him it is was covered under my service plan and he said absolutely not. He told me that I immediately needed to get rid of the mice and that they only way to do it was to remove all of the insulation from the attic and then have new insulation blown back in. He also said that it needed to be done because it was a health hazard. They said that they could give me a $700 discount because I was a long time customer. They needed to go out to their car to figure out the price to have this work done. Upon return I was told that it would be $3500.00!!! I signed up to have this done because I didn't want to have mice in my house and since I had used them for so long I didn't think that they would lie to me. After talking with several friends and checking other reviews of their work I became suspicious of this. I called and put a hold on the work and have decided to see if I really did have mice in the attic. A trip to Home Depot to get 4 packs of sticky mouse traps went in the attic along with bait on them. Checked the next day, no mice on them. Checked the next week, no mice. Got new traps and put new bait on them. One week later. Guess what? NO MICE!!!!! This is the biggest scam going. They find people who believe their story and pay $3500 for something that didn't need to be done. Oh btw. The mouse dropping were right next to the attic opening so that they could be easily seen. Do not fall for their scam. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau as well. read more

As you read this, keep in mind the reviews should be based on what people experienced. This company responds quickly to complaints, unfortunately that is due to the complaint being real. They have been out 4 times to treat and the bugs remain. They tell me the heat treatment is 98% effective, hard to believe my only experience leaves me in the 2%. What they promise on their initial visit should be taken with a grain of salt, what technicians say is the reality. When you see a Google review of 5, take note of only 1 or 2 people. Called them in to help treat an ant problem and they charged me a boatload for a maintenance plan which I signed up for. The ants continue to be a problem. They have a tendency to send their technicians out when we're not home so I have no idea what they even do which I don't think is much. They also ask me when they come "where are the ants coming in". While I get that they want to treat those areas, I also would expect a good pest control company to do their own inspection and help figure out where the trouble spots are around the exterior of the house. Regrettably, I cannot go lower than one star. At the end of my entire experience with home pest control, we had to schedule seven different appointments for the same problem. They failed to show up three times, and of the three times when they failed to show up, they never called us to let us know they weren't coming. We always had to call them and find out what was happening and why no one had arrived at our home yet. One time, after repeatedly incompetent service visits where they failed to do what they said they would, we asked the manager to come out. He showed up late, again with no call, and told us that Home Paramount does not provide the service we already paid them to do (fixing a small leak in the roof and providing treatment for the water damage, along with routine pest control). I told him that we were surprised to learn that they could fix the leak and treat the wood, but when his employee told us they could do this, we gladly paid for that service. The service manager told us he would talk to his employee and call us back that night to let us know what he could do. The service manager never called us. Finally, I called the senior manager, and he refused to do anything about the lies his employees told me about their companies capabilities and the services we paid for already, did not apologize for the repeated missed appointments - saying that they called every time they didn't show up (which was untrue and also not the point) - and told us that we would have needed the services they provided at some point anyway, so he didn't understand why I was upset. He promised to call me back when he better understood the situation. He called back that night, leaving a voice message saying he was still collecting information about our experience with his organization, but he promised to call me by 10:30 AM the next morning. I'm still waiting on his call... If you're reading this, please use anybody else. read more

The quoted us $9,000 (which they "discounted" to $5,800) for a service that ended up being under 600! We were told they would not address the mice in our attic unless we opted for the attic restoration where they take all the insulation out of your attic, patch "holes" and then put new insulation in. Two other companies came out and said we had little to no mouse activity in our attic and that they would address them in their regular contract. No added cost!! They also wanted 1,100 to patch holes where the mice were coming in. Neither one of the two other vendors we called charged additional money to put putty on our HVAC hose lines! read more

Was given a price for control of all ants, specifically carpenter ants. Cost was about $900 with an extra $90 every two months if I recall correctly. Adding termite coverage would have taken it to $1800! Got the ant contract and took 8 months for them to agree to honor it. They said that the $900 + was just basic! After another couple of months and asking several times to check the back deck by my door I was told the contract is only for inside the walls of the home and doesn't include the deck, despite the fact that it it physically attached to the house.
