I suggested my dad hire a private case manager as her dementia was getting worse and my dad was having a hard time coping and managing her medical and emotional needs. Meredith coordinated doctors appointments, coached my dad through dealing with dementia, helped arrange for and provide caregivers, and offered moral and emotional support and guidance for my grandmother and the whole family. My grandmother passed away peacefully at home, and I don't think it would have gone as well as it did without the help and support of Meredith and her team. Meredith was very patient with my grandmother who was wary of new people and afraid of relinquishing control as her dementia progressed. Our older family member's progress would not have been possible without their expertise, support, and perseverance. Nurse Annie is incredibly compassionate, smart, and detail-oriented & improved our family member's lung function and bedsore treatment/prevention. Debbie & Ben are diligent and creative with their PT/OT approaches, tailoring it to each older adult's interests and abilities. Stephanie is meticulous in cleansing and taught us all sorts of techniques to more feasibly do regular cleanings. I needed advice about help I needed in an area that Alice Home Care did not service and Alice was very helpful with a referral and also helped me with concerns I had with that other agency. The direct care I had with working with Alice Home Care was over the top. We were in the pandemic. My uncle had fallen and had Covid and needed home care. Alice met me at the house and we proceeded to get information from my cousin about what was needed for his father. Then my cousin fell ill during the talk. Alice saw the severity of the situation and brought in help within a couple of hours. This was amazing. And so badly needed. Eventually a longer term solution was found by Alice and the care was used for several months until my uncle moved to assisted living. Alice Home Care came to the rescue, brought in care that the family appreciated, and was very open in communications.
