I knew I wanted a small facility so that my mom would get individualized care. The owner, Jackie, was immensely helpful with the process. When I needed proof that my mother did not have TB, Jackie suggested going to urgent care to have a chest x-ray, even sending someone to go with me to help handle my mother so that I could have her admitted that day. In fact, Jackie sends someone to go with me to every doctors appointment since I cannot carry my mom in and out of the car to get her in the wheelchair. The first day they asked for a list of her food likes and dislikes, and tailor her meals to what she feels like eating. They take care of laundry, food, etc. without the nickel & dime extra costs that most other facilities charge. They have large TVs for every room with many streaming options (Disney, Netflix, sports channels, etc.) and were MUCH cheaper than the other facilities I looked into. On holidays and special occasions, Jackie orders a boatload of food for visitors to enjoy while they spend time with loved ones, and has even out of her own pocket bought things for the residents. My mother has received outfits, socks, blankets, Christmas gifts, etc. just because Jackie loves spoiling the residents! She has a very good heart and honestly cares for everyone treating them like family. The staff are attentive and very caring, also treating everyone like family. My mother loves the hugs she gets and feels very loved. That is the best thing about this home - my mother does NOT want to leave this place!

One thing I truly appreciated was that visits never required a heads-up -- a reflection of their confidence in maintaining consistently excellent care. The caregivers, especially Rhyle, are compassionate and attentive. They follow each resident's individual routines with care, and a calm and friendly manner. Jackie, the owner, is deeply invested in the well-being of every resident. She's transparent, honest, and clearly motivated by compassion rather than profit -- a refreshing change after our experience with another facility that raised prices without reason. After providing some details she said that she'd rather not waste my time as their facility doesn't have a 24/7 RN. She suggested a few other places and a consultant who could provide insights to services I was looking for. While I can't speak for the care at Rose Gate, the contact I had with their staff speaks volumes.

The missing star is related only to the size of some of the shared rooms. Not unusual. My elderly family member with quite advanced dementia has been here for over two years. I have visited at least once weekly, and at different times. I've had the opportunity to observe the staff both with him and with other residents. They are unfailingly kind and patient-- and cheerful, too. It's rare in a residential facility (this is his third), and worth everything. Too often a facility looks beautiful, but has awful care. Rosemont's care is exceptional.

My mother needs a high level of care; she has dementia, schizophrenia and assorted medical issues. My mother is not an easy person to deal with and she has been chased out of a few elderly facilities in the past. I was at my wits end when we came to Marymount, but I feel that we have finally found a place where my mom is HAPPY, which means I am not constantly being called with all the issues my mother is creating. The facility: clean, spacious bedrooms, large wheel chair accessible bathrooms, friendly staff & food that my mother likes. Marymount provides shuttle service on Tues & Thurs for Dr. appointments, which is such big help since my mom is in a wheelchair & also is very careful & conscientious about my mother's medication and physical well being. The facility has a podiatrist that come in the care for the residents feet, a hair styling salon (they cut my mother's unruly hair) and also offer dental care-which is so great! I'd also like to mention the manager Kai-he is committed to excellence and works very hard to insure that things run smoothly.... when they don't he takes action to make it right. For my mother, in memory care on the 3rd floor it's pricey, but you can't put a price on piece of mind. :)

The workers are extremely rude to my parent who is unable to walk. The hallways are also very noisy. it's almost impossible to have a proper phone conversation with my parent. They charge a heck of a lot of money to treat their guests like animals? It's absolutely unacceptable. These people also chose this as a career - now do your darn job with compassion. You never know if you'll ever be in that position one day.

The facility seemed really nice. The staff were very freindly and there was coffee and cookies by the front door everyday. They have allot of events and activities daily and weekly that my mom seems to enjoy. The staff are as good as they get but i started noticing allot of turn over in employees . We had started to notice staffing shortages as well. My only concern is that my mother with all of her medical issues is well taken care of and that she is well tended to. After catching wind of all the staffing issues and possible management problems the family started to get concerned. Then just today i receive several calls from my mother on her cell phone which we made sure she has with her at all times. She calls and tells me shes been in her room put down to bed at 6:45 and she has used the bathroom and no body has checked in on her. So i called the front desk and they said that some one will be there shortly. 30 minute later the care takers came into the room with me on the phone and attended to her. The problem is that my mother was in a uncomfortable situation for a hour with no one tending to her. I can only imaging what it would be like for other residents that dont have a cell phone

On any given day, there are educational activities, exercise classes, book clubs, art classes, daily movies, bingo, 3 meals a day that are delicious and well balanced & a caring nursing staff who seamlessly help each resident that needs it with medications, bumps & bruises and all things involving general well being. My Mother had a recent health scare and the support of the Nursing staff was above and beyond what I thought was possible. The significant care and concern was like she had her family caring for her.
