Great food, great service and even better owners!!!! Service is always fast and friendly!!!! Deacons club with crispy fries is awesome!!!!

Food is always great and the service is excellent. We really enjoy the omelettes and downtown atmosphere!

I love this place! The food is very good and the portions are ample. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering how much they serve. The service is always first rate, also! You are not made to feel like you are one servers customer, you are as if you are all servers customer. This is just a great place to eat! read more

I love this place! Breakfast is on point. They will customize anything no issue. They open early and will fix lunch burgers etc for breakfast if you wish. Long time employees treat everyone well. Easy street parking on Main Street in Cherryville. Handicap parking within feet of the door. Your coffee or drink will never get low. They even give you a to go cup (full) for your beverage. Prices are very reasonable. When you realize you see a lot of the same people there eating each time you go you know they come back for a reason. Cherryville is a small town. If you're in the area check this place out. Has gone downhill since my review. Seems to have cheaped out on product. Not many breakfast non chain options in Cherryville. read more

Good old style food here. If you looking for fancy this is not your place. If you are looking for something that your grandparents would have ordered come by. We love it here. read more

located in beautiful downtown Cherryville, this is a country cooking gem of a restaurant. If you like fried chicken and fresh local grown veggies, this is your place. They've been keeping it real in Cherryville for nearly 40 years. It's smalltown America at it's finest, you won't be disappointed. If you ask for iced tea, it's gonna be sweet, this is the South. You get an entree and 3 veggies for $6.00. The best fried okra in the County, only my Grandmother's was better. For some local flavor, you enjoy the sports wall of fame with local high school, college and pro sports figures. Charlie 'Choo Choo' Justice, Jack Tatum & Tony Cloninger to name a few. read more

They are very nice. But the food tastes like the boxed and frozen stuff from the grocery store. We tried it three times with hopes it would get better. It didn't. read more

Food was very good and curb side work well as well. Support your neighborhood we all need each other.

We travel a lot and I must say that this was by far the worst meal I have ever had! It is not home cooked! Instant mashed potatoes gravy that tasted like paste. The okra was cold, but tried to eat some as I now have to pay for this horrible meal. We should have refused to pay but do not want to cause a scene. Please, save your money and go anywhere else but here. read more

This place really is more of a 4.5. This is the type of place that you can tell they have had the same people still eating here after 30 years. I ordered the 2 eggs soft scrambled with cheese and the cook nailed it. They have some of the best sausage around, the corned beef hash could have been cooked a little longer but it was tasty. And definitely get a biscuit instead of toast. The staff is very friendly and so are the people. If you are ever in the area give it a go, I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

It's hard to beat a good meal at Home Folks Cafe, where all the locals meet to eat together. It's character is one of the things that makes Cherryville such a charming place to live. read more

Best country style steak, hands down. Fried green beans were to die for as well. The staff are all so sweet and it's my daughters favorite place to eat in Cherryville. Their breakfast is always on point too! read more

Fantastic little country cooking establishment! I eat there roughly once a week! Cheeseburgers are pretty good but the special of the day is usually the way to go!!!! read more

I normally love small town diners. From the outside this place looks like a quality main street diner. I ordered the country fried steak, Mac & Cheese along with Rice & gravy. Wow was i in for a surprise. This was by far the worst lunch meal i have ever been served. Stay away at all cost!!! read more

Items on the scant menu may not be actually available to eat, but you can bet on getting soggy, saturated french fries that, instead of being fried, were obviously warmed up in a vat oil for much too long. Instead of tartar sauce with my fish, I recieved sour cream. Do not waste your money on a meal that will only lead to a tummy ache from the overly saturated, obviously prebreaded and frozen, and poorly prepared "food." read more

I love home folks because it is the best and it is really good and the service is really really great and fast. And if you like breakfast it is the place to go read more

Probably one of the best restaurants in the area. Best fried chicken anywhere! Get the daily special.

We (my family and I) tried to eat there but the waitress was coughing all over without covering her mouth.

This place is darn gooder than a hickory ham high. God damn!!

We've eaten here twice, during breakfast hours. Both times, I got the ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and toast. The size of the omelet was rather skimpy in size, but tasted ok. It would taste better if they used real shredded cheddar instead of the processed imitation singles. The hash browns are identical to the ones you get at McDonald's, except these were way greasier. The toast was your run of the mill toast. It wasn't burnt so I was happy with it. Overall, it was reasonably priced. I do plan to return sometime for lunch and/or dinner. Hopefully then I can give a more favorable review. read more

I would not recommend this restaurant...since I will never go there again. We ordered what I was hoping to be a great meal from the crowds of people I have seen in there when we drove by. The service was good....food...not so much. The toast was lukewarm like it had been sitting out, grits had started turning solid around the edges so no go for them. I tried the eggs and pulled out a hair long enough to wrap around my finger...and still be in the eggs like it was scrambled in there. I returned my plate to the waitress and showed her the hair and told her the problems with the rest of the plate. I declined her offer of anything else. At the checkout counter we explained the problem to the lady taking our money. She said she already knew about it and all we had to pay for was the other breakfast. In an act of good will I would have thought she would have said she was sorry and hoped that we would come back again...maybe even telling us we did not have to pay for my husbands breakfast. They lost us as customers since we will not be back. read more
