We trusted that Ryan would do an…read moreexcellent job, so we reached out to him when we decided to update the kitchen cabinets in our new home. When he initially sent us the plans from the measurements he took at our home my husband noticed very quickly that they were way off by at least 20 inches. If they proceeded with the way Ryan measured the upper cabinets wouldn't have fit at all and he would've had to remake the entire thing. On the day of install I was not happy with the color difference between the sample stain piece we picked and the color the lower cabinets turned out. They were darker and had a yellow hue to them. See photo. As you can tell by the photo the small sample piece was much different. Additionally, the upper cabinets had a much more neutral tone to them. This is what I wanted for all the cabinets. My husband talked me out of mentioning my disappointment in the cabinet fronts to Ryan and assured me it was fine enough. The real problem happened when some of the cabinet doors didn't fit right during the install and they had to remake them. There were two larger cabinet doors that were measurement errors on their end and three smaller doors that I wasn't happy with because the reveal was much too large between doors. Ryan wasn't happy about remaking the 3 smaller doors and made it known to me. I told him we would pay for it. Ultimately he didn't charge us, which we appreciated, however, I think he could've been kinder about the way he approached it when I said I wanted them remade. When they arrived with the replacement doors we were shocked at how different they looked than the rest of the lower cabinets. See photos. Initially he told us all wood grain is different and that's just the way it is. We are fully aware wood grain can be different and we're willing to accept this with our lower cabinets not matching our uppers, but with the cabinet doors being right next to each other the tone difference looked ridiculous. It honestly looked like a showroom cabinet with sample stains. He reluctantly agreed to remake them. At this point we thought he'd take extra care to select a veneer that would closely resemble the original doors. Sadly this did not happen. The installer showed up weeks later to install the replacement doors and they are a different tone than the original doors. At this point Ryan is offering no solution. He refuses to come look at the doors in person and the last text we received from him was unprofessional. We paid top dollar for this project & the quality and customer service Ryan provided is really upsetting. Now we have to hire someone else to fix a problem Ryan should have the decency to make right. Sadly, we can no longer recommend this business.

We liked his competitive quote but, more importantly, we liked Travis. When the project started it got better. Travis was completely involved in all project details and was extremely helpful in selecting materials and colors. My wife had good ideas but Travis' skill in overall design was beyond our expectations - my wife was impressed. The project was managed and executed in a very professinal manner. The team showed up on time, did qualify work, cleaned up each day and finished on time. My wife is very detailed and expects everything to be perfect. He was extremely knowledgeable on every element of the project, and often made suggestions that were clearly the best course of action. His team was incredibly hard working and courteous, making sure everything was taken off the home properly and sealed. The end result was fantastic and I really applaud Jemner and his team for accommodating every last minute request whilst still doing an incredible job until the end. I really hate to do this but I had to come back and update my review…read more Where to start. My first project with Jemner was the repair project where my AC didn't have a water level sensor shutoff and the condensation overflowed and poured through my ceiling. They made it look like it never happened. A couple years later I decided to hire him for a much bigger project of painting cabinets, walls, new counter tops, backsplash, baseboards etc. At first, the cabinets looked INCREDIBLE. Everything we hoped for. But after living in it for a few months the paint began to split and flake away. (See photos). You can tell a lot of the cabinets weren't sanded or filled correctly. The satin paint finish (Jemner's recommendation - said it was what he recommended to everyone) either wasn't capable of the abuse kitchen cabinets take or it wasn't prepped/applied correctly. Either way, it wasn't a good result. Every single cabinet door that they reinstalled after being painted had the hinges screwed back in using a power drill with no max torque setting which allowed the screws to rip away at the wood. This resulted in every single... and I mean EVERY SINGLE cabinet hinge coming loose after a few weeks because the screws had nothing to grip on. Open the door and it immediately drops 1/4 inch. If you didn't notice that happen then when you shut the door, instead of it going back into place, it would bump into the cabinet door above or below it immediately chipping the paint despite having soft closing hinges (that's how bad the paint job was). When they reattached the drawer fronts they didn't screw the fronts back into the drawer box the way they should be (inside of the box straight into the drawer front). Instead they just held the fronts up against the drawer box and sent new randomly sized screws into the inner corners of the box and into the front which has left nearly every front slightly unlevel. I only noticed this today (hence why I finally decided to update this review) when one started really going uneven and I went to investigate. What I found was the inner corner screws and noticed they sent a screw through the paint of the drawer front when reattaching the fronts and then crudely painted over it (it's so obvious now that I am aware of it). Terrible work. In addition to the shoddy paint job and reinstallation of the cabinet doors - he charged me for the paint ($800) in addition to the price he quoted me despite saying the total included all paint and materials. Moving onto my door frames. What a nightmare. They had to come back multiple times to fix their work. They missed spots with the paint, they got paint on the wall (different color) all around the place. They PAINTED OVER MY DOOR HINGES and their justification was "you said you were going to replace them eventually". Oh, so I guess in the meantime I want them crudely painted over with white paint?? Also, since they had to sand and paint the inner door frames to match the new paint, almost none of my doors will shut correctly now. I tiled my guest bathroom myself but didn't want to deal with the baseboards so I hired them for that too. That was probably the best result of everything in this big project despite it being pretty awful. every corner where the baseboards meet for a 90 degree turn had gaps between them and were unbelievably crudely caulked to fill the 1/4 inch gaps. I can't tell you how much paint I've had to clean off of my hardwood floors, windows, and furniture. Thank god I went with matte wall paint because it has been fairly easy to remove with warm water. But let me just say, they did not care about where paint went. My $800 soundbar with a fabric front and the back of my brand new 70" TV in my living room where they painted the walls had paint all over them and couldn't get it removed. I have tried to get them to remedy it but every time they come to fix one thing they make something else worse. Jemner and his son are very nice but their team is lazy and unskilled. Now the worst part. Disgusting even. One of the guys (maybe more than one) used the guest bathroom when nature called. I didn't think it was right to deny them that access when Jemner asked me if they could during the project. Well, after they left for the day mid project, I went to use the bathroom and noticed something in the trash bin. There was a huge and THICK smudge/smear of poop on top of the bin with toilet paper hanging from it. They were throwing their poopy toilet paper into my out in the open trash bin instead of flushing it. Wretched! The worst part is it was left in such a way that there is NO WAY they didn't realize it was fully exposed like that. Epilogue: they ate all of our fancy/expensive handmade chocolate my wife and I brought back from our first ever trip to Europe. Jemner offered to buy us more but it was from a small hole in the wall chocolate shop in Italy so it was irreplaceable. Point being, his team is rude and inconsiderate.
