Fantastic and no, we aren't related or a paid comment. We're just amazed that Jason and his staff exist out there in a time when people lie, overprice, etc... If you have work, get him. I used Jaclyn Rosa from the Jill Biggs Realty Group as my buyers agent during my recent condo…read morepurchase. I quite literally handed her commission to her on a silver platter, as I had already found & toured the condo I was purchasing- the only thing she did for me was sit on a stool while the home inspection was being done. When it came to closing day, so many things went wrong due to her lack of experience & communication. As a first time home buyer, I was not aware that there should have been a final walk through before signing the closing documents & Jaclyn did not schedule one for me. Jaclyn, nor any other representative from the agency, was not present at my closing to hand over the keys, nor were there any arrangements for receiving my keys after closing. She "had the closing dates mixed up on her calendar" but when she realized two days prior, didn't attempt to reschedule her other obligations, contact me to let me know, or arrange for another associate to assist me. When I expressed my frustration with this afterwards, Jaclyn offered to send a contractor to repair & paint holes left in my home from the sellers. I truly believe Jaclyn and Kevin, of Barry's Renovations in Hoboken, are a match made in heaven. Kevin has rescheduled finishing the job he started more than 3 times, always at the last minute, never proactively reaching out to me to explain his numerous "emergencies" that caused him to ignore the completion of my repairs. The project is still incomplete, and Jaclyn's attempt at righting her wrongs during my closing processes have made my opinions of her & the Jill Biggs Group incredibly unfavorable. Jaclyn's repeated failures during the closing process, combined with the subsequent mismanagement of the repair work have left me with an extremely unfavorable opinion of both the Jill Biggs Group and Barry's Renovations. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their real estate and contracting needs.

BOOOOODishonest billing practices!!!!!!!…read more I used Matt from JDM recently to inspect a storm drainage system and he gave me a fair price. Sadly today he unclogged a tennis court drain and charged me 481.50. He charged me by the hour to regale me and my painter with stories of his father's passing when he was 5 years old, and the decent rearing his mother gave him and his sibling despite her single parent status. Then he went on about the new house he moved into after living with his mother and stories of a movie star (Chaz Palmiteri) that he installed sprinklers for, who owned a German Shepard that bit him on the buttocks and drew blood. He included a lecture about people who sue for such things but not him, no sir. Finally he told me how his uncle had trained him as a plumber and put in a plug for his previous employer Michael Palotta and his blue trucks and his father Cesar who had passed away. He also sent me on a wild goose chase suggesting my sprinkler main was broken and it was not. He continued to experiment with ideas of what might be wrong with my sprinkler long after my irrigation expert assured him over the phone that the main shut off was closed. He even called him back to ask more questions after he had been told the system was working perfectly and is monitored remotely by an app which would have shown problems. After all this blah blah he charged me by the hour. Very dishonest!!! I tried to suffer his jabbering politely as I am a physician and know some people are lonely and need to vent, but I never intended to pay for his therapy! Beware of people who think they deserve payment for wasting your time.

Shortly after moving into our Manhattan apartment we learned that the plumbing pipes for the…read morekitchen and laundry closet were not up to code. A foul smell in the laundry closet made this an urgent repair issue. We hired JDM Contracting to do the job, which entailed removing 15 running feet of plaster wall on the other side of the kitchen wall, removing a portion of the laundry closet wall, replacing the drain pipes and water pipes for both the kitchen and laundry, replastering the walls, and repainting. I couldn't believe that the bedroom wall would ever look as good as it did beforehand, but it was perfect, thanks to the plasterer who was a master craftsman. Mickey Bagley was a pleasure to work with. His men were professional, highly capable, courteous, trustworthy, reliable, responsive, punctual, and as unobtrusive as you can get in this kind of space. It was such a relief to have someone that I could count on to do a great job.

TBH I was skeptical that the two walls that needed the most work could actually be fixed, due to years of wear and tear and a multitude of nail/screw holes from a huge wall shelving unit that we recently took down. Dan took his time and gave incredible attention to detail and I have to say, both walls look literally brand new. We had some great conversation as well.
