Shortly after moving into our Manhattan apartment we learned that the plumbing pipes for the kitchen and laundry closet were not up to code. A foul smell in the laundry closet made this an urgent repair issue. We hired JDM Contracting to do the job, which entailed removing 15 running feet of plaster wall on the other side of the kitchen wall, removing a portion of the laundry closet wall, replacing the drain pipes and water pipes for both the kitchen and laundry, replastering the walls, and repainting. I couldn't believe that the bedroom wall would ever look as good as it did beforehand, but it was perfect, thanks to the plasterer who was a master craftsman. Mickey Bagley was a pleasure to work with. His men were professional, highly capable, courteous, trustworthy, reliable, responsive, punctual, and as unobtrusive as you can get in this kind of space. It was such a relief to have someone that I could count on to do a great job. read more
