It can be hit or miss. The prices were OK though the selection was underwhelming and not cohesively curated for my taste.

West Elm - Front display

West Elm

I came in tonight to check out sectionals in person…read more After seeking a sectional to replace our family couch (which, is breaking down after three years! what a bummer), we decided to test out couches in person. Our last couch was purchased online and we followed reviews who had solid feedback, but no long term feedback. The couch was awesome upon first opening and using, but as the years went by the springs and cushions couldn't hold up as well. The couch has lost its shape and feels uncomfortable. This background story prompted me to seek West Elm for a better option. I know West Elm provides quality and durability. The last couch we had was a nameless brand and that red flag had me investing time in researching our next couch. West Elm's contract grade third party approval is something that I've admired and appreciate. Knowing that something can withstand high impact and volume is important especially when you have a busy life or entertain guests often. This was important to us. I've found and loved multiples of their couches online, but sitting in them in person made the biggest difference. I learned which couch was better for us (Dalton 2 piece) and the color that would fit with our room. We were helped by an associate who approached us and helped guide us in the process of choosing a fabric and material. I didn't catch his name, nor was he wearing a name tag, but he provided us swatches to feel and see before determining the final order. Him bringing out the swatches had a huge influence on our choices. He showed us a material that would withstand scratches (we have cats), and would also age well with future use down the line. Having a piece that would grow and adapt with our lifestyle meant a lot to us and the process in finding the next best couch. What I had appreciated was how attentive he was and how he helped us choose everything in store and printed out the order in case we were interested in pursuing it further. Ultimately, we ended up leaving with the order number and the specs for the couch. We decided once we had come home that that was the couch for us and we will be following up to place an order. It was a game changer trying out the couches in person since there were many lovely pieces and I would have otherwise overlooked the couch we ended up loving online. In the end, envisioning our home setting and layout was made a lot easier in store. I appreciated the stellar customer service, along with getting a quote for the sectional we're going to purchase. There is so much to see and appreciate in store, we will definitely return to purchase other delightful pieces in the future.

They were closed (2pm). so now, parts are all over the room with no resolution. i called the store, and they were clueless. They were actually quite rude regarding my situation. I spoke with a woman on a sunday afternoon-and she was annoyed that I was calling. The delivery guys were nice (not the fault of them) and they even mentioned this is the 3rd delivery with missing parts that they were provided. Horrible service!

The owner seems to believe that because he has responded to my concerns and ultimately fixed them that all is well. Though I appreciate very much is willingness to address my concerns and ultimately produce a quality product after much of my time being spent, it would've been far better for them just to produce a finished product to begin with. I will say that the final product after my many revisions is worth double what we paid. I hope the owner of the company realizes that having good quality control in a nice finished looked has tremendous value. If he were to produce what he finally produced after the several text messages and phone calls to begin with we would've happily paid double. The concept and overall design of their products is excellent. It is the quality control that is lacking. They should not be relying on their customers to educate them on how to make a quality finished product. Brian seems very satisfied that he responded to the customers concerns and rectified them. Generally speaking I would agree. It is my hope that Brian takes these critiques and changes the way he does things so he doesn't have to worry about responding to customers complaints. UPDATE-- After several texts, a 30 minute visit with a FaceTime call to go over HOW to put the furniture together without the screw heads showing from the outside, they were able to achieve a finished quality look!! 1.did they work really hard to give us a final product we found acceptable and that looks like finished furniture? Yes they did.. 2.Should the customer have had to give them a 20 minute tutorial on how to put their product together so it looked like a finished product? No. 3. Is the finished product that they finally produced in response to our complaints of high-quality? Yes. And in fact had they produced this from the beginning and had good quality control they easily could've charged $50 more per stool and $100 more for the table. Ultimately the company did respond to our concerns and did work very hard to achieve what we were looking for. However it should not have had to come to that. I think that this Business needs to put more effort into their quality control and the overall look of their final product. The design of their furniture is really nice and with additional quality control and attention to detail these furnishings could sell for double what they're currently charging. We are ultimately happy with the finished product, but not very happy that we had to put so much effort into getting this company to achieve what should have been their standard. They have an opportunity to become a leader in this custom furnishing area if they focus more on quality control and finished look. I stand by the earlier pictures and earlier comments that what they initially produced they were supposedly proud of with the screwheads being uneven deck screws that were not flush mounted. I have added photos of the final product with all the revisions we requested and the furniture looks fantastic. Having said that I cannot recommend doing business with this company without the caveat of do your own quality control because they have none in place. Our overall experience with the company was not one that left us feeling comfortable enough to recommend them to friends and family Without the warning of doing your own quality control and making sure that their quality of work is satisfactory to what you're looking for. It is my fervent hope that the finished product they produced for us will become their standard and if that is the case the biggest problem this company is going to have is not having enough workers or barrels to produce all the furniture they will have orders for. I will revise my one star review to a generous three stars. As I do appreciate their willingness to continue to try and make the customer happy, but again have they paid closer attention to quality control and finished look of this would have been a five star review from the beginning. Please take the time to look at the original pictures of the original product that they were very proud of, and the pictures of the revised product which looks excellent.

We weren't sure which items would be considered donated, but we figured we'd find out if and when we found a "treasure" to take home. I found a box of picture hangers but there was no price on it! This happens way too often here, unfortunately. It wouldn't hurt to ask at the register, so I held onto it. My husband found a bag of 12 pairs of work gloves for $5. He grabbed two different bags. Before I could even ask at the register, the friendly cashier had already inputted $5 for the box of picture hangers! That was the most I was willing to pay, so I was very happy. With the added work gloves, and minus 40% off the total, we got a great Black Friday deal!!!

Death Restore Honor…read more One of three Restore locations in the Bay Area (Oakland & Concord) that benefit Habitat for Humanity's mission of building homes throughout the US and the world. The Good: *Huge selection of used furniture *Used appliances like refrigerators *Friendly service *Also sell lots of brand-new and used construction supplies like paint, tape, light bulbs, and other miscellaneous stuff donated by contractors who had purchased too much of one thing or another for their project(s). *Rewards program *Accept CashApp, as well as CCs *Keep an eye out for 50%off items The Meh: *No delivery options available *No clothes, books, or kitchen stuff like a traditional thrift store just furniture and construction supplies. *Area is a little sus, so make sure to lock your car. The Ugly: *We stopped at another Thrift store beforehand, and Restore's prices are a bit higher than the average. Conclusion: Great place to get slightly used furniture at decent prices and help keep more stuff out of the landfills.

I figured it would also be a good opportunity to check out their other items. To my surprise, the store was massive, almost like Hobby Lobby. I was thrilled I made the trip! However, I'm giving it 4 stars because the store felt a bit disorganized--especially the Christmas ornaments, which were scattered everywhere. Also, I wasn't able to find everything I wanted, even though their website showed those items as in stock at this location. I did ask a team member for help, and while she was friendly and tried to assist, the item wasn't where she directed me. That said, their prices are very competitive, which is definitely a reason I'll be back for more home decors and other items!

It hasn't had issues ever since, so when we had to move, we decided to go back and purchase another sofa set with living spaces again. After a year or two, the couches have held up well enough until just 2 weeks ago my wife sat down on it and heard a sound and it has been sinking in that area ever since. We had paid a few hundred dollars for a five-year-warranty plan to cover things like this and filed the claim they asked for. The people in the store explained how there shouldn't be any issues with the warranty helping us out. Jasmine was very helpful. However, after waiting two weeks for the technician to come look at it, he confirmed that the wood frame has broken and the springs stretched out. He said it shouldn't be a problem to either fix or replace it and that they will get back to us. After a couple days, they messaged me saying that it is not covered by my warranty plan due to it being a "loss of resiliency". It also says in the same claim that they deemed it to be due to a manufacturing defect. I emailed back and disputed the claim, but they just respond simply saying that it is not covered by my warranty plan. I even told the store that I am willing to take some sort of store credit and spend $4k - $5k more on a newer, better quality sofa set, but they do not want to seem to help me resolve this at all.
