I made a big mistake taking another chance on living spaces. I had an issue with a sofa I purchased 3-4 years ago and their service was great and they replaced the sofa for me. It hasn't had issues ever since, so when we had to move, we decided to go back and purchase another sofa set with living spaces again. After a year or two, the couches have held up well enough until just 2 weeks ago my wife sat down on it and heard a sound and it has been sinking in that area ever since. We had paid a few hundred dollars for a five-year-warranty plan to cover things like this and filed the claim they asked for. The people in the store explained how there shouldn't be any issues with the warranty helping us out. Jasmine was very helpful. However, after waiting two weeks for the technician to come look at it, he confirmed that the wood frame has broken and the springs stretched out. He said it shouldn't be a problem to either fix or replace it and that they will get back to us. After a couple days, they messaged me saying that it is not covered by my warranty plan due to it being a "loss of resiliency". It also says in the same claim that they deemed it to be due to a manufacturing defect. I emailed back and disputed the claim, but they just respond simply saying that it is not covered by my warranty plan. I even told the store that I am willing to take some sort of store credit and spend $4k - $5k more on a newer, better quality sofa set, but they do not want to seem to help me resolve this at all. We went in to look at rugs for our nursery and found one we liked, the man was helpful and told us it would take 2 weeks because it's on back order. No problem. Most products we've gotten here we get same day if not within the week. We've loved all our products from living spaces. I've never dealt with a back ordered product. So nearly two weeks go by then we get an email saying they canceled the delivery because the rug wasn't ready. They would contact us with a new delivery date soon. Fine. I give it a few days then call to get an update because we weren't called. They say it's going to be here the next week and they will call mid week to schedule the new delivery. OKAY COOL. Midweek comes around no call. I call customer service just now explain what's been going on, they take a while put me on hold. Come back on and tell me it'll be here MID AUGUST.......... It's the lies I'm being told about this order that just get to me. I'm guaranteed two weeks then I'm guaranteed one more week. False. How can I believe it'll actually be here mid August after the false promises? Now I'm gonna go look elsewhere for a rug in stock. There's many workers but not a lot of customers on the showroom floor on that Saturday afternoon. I actually came in hunting for a specific sectional I used to own--the kind of couch you never forget because it's that comfortable and the modular layout options are incredible. Title: Very Disappointing First Experience - No Support After Delivery Issue I am a first-time customer of Living Spaces, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. I ordered a sofa with the free delivery option (leave outside the door). However, when the delivery team arrived, my apartment leasing office did not allow them to leave the item in the hallway due to safety concerns. As a result, the delivery team left the item downstairs in the building. The problem is that this is a very large and heavy item (over 120 lbs), and my husband was not present at the time of delivery. We live on the 4th floor, and it is extremely difficult for us to move the item upstairs on our own. I contacted Living Spaces customer service to request assistance in simply bringing the item to our door, and I clearly explained that my husband would take care of everything once it is outside our unit. Unfortunately, my request was denied, and no solution or accommodation was offered. As a first-time buyer, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing. While I understand the delivery policy, I was hoping for at least some level of customer support or flexibility given the situation. At this point, I am left with a large piece of furniture that I cannot easily move into my home. She introduced herself, informed us of the black Friday sales ending today and told us about the 26 month financing special too. She explained that if we had our dimensions of the room and found furniture we liked that she could show us what it would look like in the space through the design center. We have a rectangular family room and she was able to give us a visual of the sofa we were selecting as well as what options we had. She helped us with selecting a rug to match our sofa. Earlier in the day, we met Fernando (Manager) and he assured us we would be taken care of when we returned. Amrisha definitely did a fantastic job. She was very knowledgeable and truly provided EXCELLENT customer service! I am well aware that they don't work on commission, however, I hope that the employees are recognized for the amount of sales they close. Good assistance, relaxed, not pressured. I go upstairs and there are two salespeople on the escalator greeting me. Upstairs, there are six more salespeople who all turn around & just watch me. Three greet me cause they're closest. It was uncomfortable and overwhelming to be the only customer and so many salespeople watching my every step. I just had to leave. I am so happy with my service that I want to particularly thank Morgan the store manager for helping on my dining set but to also see that we had ordered online a living room set and that the pieces were coming at different times so she consolidating the order to get us more pieces sooner. However in all our excitement last night one of her associates accidentally set my in store floor model purchase for pick up instead of delivery as discussed. I ordered a dinning set online, with committed delivery of chairs first by parcel, and table later be in room delivery service. I did not know this will become the problem. The chairs were delivered on time, but the table was not delivered on the committed day for some reason. The new delivery time will be in 3 months! I ask for returning of both table and chairs. The customer service told me the chairs can't be returned because of its 7 day return policy. Even though I explained that we never open the boxes of the chair, and they are still new. Great experience in the store, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH DELIVERY!!! Alex was supposed to have delivered my $14,000 worth of furniture today. When he arrived, I showed him the two bedrooms where he needed to drop the new sets, as well as an additional bedroom that was receiving a chair. I also ordered a couch set for my family room, and a dining room set. Alex didn't want to do his job today and decided that once he saw that he was going to have to haul 2 beds off (which I paid extra for them to do), he was done and not going to honor my delivery. He stated that the rooms were not clear in order for him to deliver and set up the new furniture which wasn't true. The only thing in the bedrooms were the beds that he was supposed to be hauling away. No dressers or anything else. He then didn't realize that I had an additional family room for him to deliver my new couches. He saw the furniture in my front living room and assumed that's where I wanted my new couches and stated that there was no space for the new sofas. My 13 year old daughter and elderly 69 year old mother as well as myself tried explaining to this man that we had a whole other side of our home where the couches needed to be put, but again he just stated that there was no room for the delivery. I literally paid Junk Kings $1000 the day before to haul my old sofas away. Alex just assumed that I wanted the new sofas in my front living room and literally wouldn't let me explain anything further to rectify the situation. Once he decided he wasn't going to honor the delivery he refused to budge. He got his supervisor on the line and proceeded to speak in Spanish so I couldn't understand. He left with a truck full of my furniture. I went to this particular living spaces, which is over an hour away for me, because the one in Millbrae is much smaller and did not have what I was looking for. I was in the market for a new couch and this location has tons at affordable prices. I am generously giving them 2 stars for their inventory. I had a few people come up and ask if I needed help. I said I was just looking and trying some out for now, and the minute I said that they would quickly scurry and walk away to find the next person. They merely wanted to make a sale and not actually help with any questions about the couches. The worst part was the delivery!! I purchased a couch and had it delivered to my home. However, the delivery men left the couch outside of my garage. I asked them to help me bring it in or take it piece by piece since it was up some stairs. They said "no, we have lots of deliveries today and don't have time for that". They proceeded to tell me they could take it back or just leave...only two options, which was very unreasonable. I called customer service to inform them and the gentleman on the phone just agreed that they had plenty of deliveries and there was nothing they could do. However, I paid for indoor delivery!!! They immediately disconnect from a customer after a sale to chase another customer. It's a bad experience. They actually have good furniture here and decent prices but you won't be making a connection with the salesperson. They are not looking for long term customers by their methods. It's poor training and management. They didn't ask how big was the room I furnished. No design aspect was part of the sale. There's a bunch of associates but few customers. I'm shopping on a Sunday at 11am. I've been sitting in the patio furniture area for 13 minutes and not a single associate or manager has come to the area. This tells me that they don't do laps around the floor. It seems they are focused on the big ticket items. They try to push the $99 delivery and set up versus indoor drop off. Initially I was told that I could get a sofa sleeper by tomorrow. After he spoke with the manager , they told me it's on a wait list. Very disappointing. Nothing comes with its counterpart here. Tables don't come with chairs. Some chairs don't come with cushions or pillows. The store has no clearly marked clearance area so you'll have to search for the deals. They do offer custom colors and materials. It adds a few weeks to delivery. They offer financing but just put it on a credit card with some cash back or other benefit. No value in using their financing. Bottom line, shop online and then see if they have it in store before you purchase. I was not prepared to buy a new bed. I was actually just window shopping. I has stopped already at 2 other neighboring stores and was disappointed with their customer service. Why do they start to see you something at the highest price point. My friend who was window shopping with me suggested LS. So we went and met Kelton. I explained to him what I was looking for. He knew all the right questions to ask me. What was I looking for and what was my budget. Not once did I feel pressured and he answered all my silly questions because you know I am just a dumb girl who knows nothing lol. He showed me 3 beds. Got me financed even thought I could have paid cash. He had my bed delivered on a holiday. I think the only downside was that the delivery windows sucked. They tell you 830-6pm and then give you a more dialed in window the night before. I couldn't make notes to have a late delivery because I had to work and might not have anybody to help. There was no other delivery options other than another day. But same stupid delivery times. So I lost out on 4 hours of pay. Oh well but Kelton was FABALOUS. read more
