One week ago I would have and did recommend Proair because of the quick service my Mother received…read morein replacing her furnace. They scheduled her in quickly and ordered a replacement furnace and installed the unit in a timely fashion and because of that service my father in law contacted them to come and service his furnace that was not working. They scheduled him in for a technician to come out and somewhere between the receptionist taking the address and the technician finding the address the details were not communicated accurately. The technician got lost and couldn't locate the property and contacted my father in law to tell him he couldn't find the property and by the time he located it he couldn't service the furnace because my father in law had left and the technician didn't have anymore time. The following day my partner called to rebook a technician to come out and look at the furnace. The receptionist put my partner on hold and a gentleman who my partner assumed to be the technician got on the phone. He was very upset and stated he didn't have time for these "f*** arounds" he had other customers waiting for service. My partner was shocked by this and the man continued to state angrily once he did find the house by the appearance of the home and yard it was evident by his judgement the furnace would not be serviceable. When he finally got back to the shop he was so f***ing frustrated he decided he wasn't coming back out. At this point my partner stopped him and asked if he was refusing service to which he replied with yes, he was refusing service because he didn't want the hassle of dealing with "you people". My partner then asked what position this man held within the company and he stated he was the owner. I suppose what I could be thankful for in this situation is that at least one of my two elderly parents fit the criteria to be serviced by Proair but apparently the other deserved to literally be left out in the cold. Immediately after that horrendously unprofessional verbal transaction my partner contacted Service First and booked them to come and service my father in laws furnace. They were able to confirm the furnace was in-fact serviceable and greeted my father in law and uncle with quick, professional, non-judgmental service going over and above. I'm appalled and disgusted with the language used to refuse service to my father in law who did nothing but try to get his furnace in working order. Everyone is allowed a bad day but this completely crossed the line and there is literally no excuse for the way my father in law was treated and the way my partner was spoke to on the phone. To pass judgment on your customers and decide they don't deserve service without even meeting them is something I've never encountered before. This isn't how a business owner should be conducting business especially in a small community. A company has the right to refuse business but most do it with a degree of tact and professionalism both things this owner apparently does not seem to possess.
