In Uptown Somerset, we’ve created a space that feels like a second home: warm, welcoming, and full of character. From the start, our goal has been to blend nostalgia with community — a place where every cup is served with genuine care, and every customer feels like family. What makes us different? Our menu is full of creativity and heart. We craft seasonal drink flights, homemade baked goods, and signature lattes you won’t find anywhere else. Favorites include our Merle’s Mugs program (a tribute to family roots), handmade syrups, and seasonal treats baked right in-house. Everything has a local touch — from fresh ingredients to collaborations with Somerset small businesses. But it’s not just about what’s in the cup. Our cozy, eclectic space — with plants, books, and vintage-inspired charm — is perfect for catching up with a friend, curling up with a book, or grabbing your morning latte on the go. Most importantly, Brewed Awakening is about people. We’re proud to be a true community hub — hosting book clubs, events, and partnerships with local makers. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, you’ll always be greeted with a smile, a story, and a coffee made just for you.

Just a half mile from the exit, easy to find and near gas, food and convenience stores, we decided this was worth a visit. If you follow my reviews, you know I'm a fan of old-school diners, the classics, and honest home-cooked food. Summit hits all three marks, serving straightforward and delicious American standards since the 1960s. The three-egg omelet loaded with veggies and sausage was exactly the pre-ski power-up I needed. My son stuck with his go-to breakfast burrito, and my daughter went with the classic two eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was spot on. The staff has just the right level of "WWA"--Waitresses With Attitude. They are perfectly polite, but they hold the line on proper behavior and will quickly put anyone in their place if they step out of line. It keeps the environment grounded and authentic. From the confusion in the parking lot/pump area, they really under-built this location. When I went to leave the lot I was almost in two accidents, that wasn't pulling onto the road accidents, that was the lot was too small accidents I have no idea what was going on and I don't think the other people had a clue either. As for the inside, it's of adequate space. All the amenities that Sheetz has mastered over the years are here for you to enjoy. The one shining spot here are the employees. They were able to do everything they needed to do with a smile on the face, even when a gentleman outside was having troubles at the pumps. This wouldn't be my first Sheetz to pick in town as it seems out of the way. Kind of feels like this Sheetz was built just to spite the other stations nearby.
