Pat and Jen are doing this world a favor by being in business. Not only is their food amazing, but they pour their heart and soul into this business. They truly care about their customers and the delicious food they create. Amazing drive thru BBQ spot with happy, friendly owners. You're going to leave with a full belly and a love for Pat and Jen. We stopped by on a Saturday shortly after they opened. My husband got the brisket sandwich and I got the brisket Philly. We also got an order of their mac n cheese and some fruit and cream puffs. The brisket was so good it didn't even need sauce. It was tender, juicy, melt in your mouth. The Mac n cheese was creamy and you could taste that delicious smoky flavor. They gave us a piece of brisket to try before our food came out. Pat apologized for the wait, but there was no need. His conversation and hospitality was so pleasant and it was a treat getting to hear their story. Jen, if you're reading this.... The cream puffs were to die for. I didn't want to take the last bite because I didn't want it to end. The flavors. The quality. You can taste the love in everything!! I would make the trip from Pittsburgh for a whole tray of those fruit and cream puffs. Trust me when I say, you will not regret stopping by this place. If you're staying in Hidden Valley, it's worth the trip over. Support local!!

So, to see a restaurant still bearing his name was a surprised, especially since Roy was never known for food. Overall, however, I was rather delighted with it a fast food restaurant. My service was good and though it would seem their main offering is a roast beef sandwich. However, as I had one of their "Spicy Chicken" sandwiches at Pennsylvania's Blue Ridge Mountain Rest Stop and found it to be totally good, I order one here too. Advertised as a marinated, fried, all-white-meat chicken breast with Monterey Jack cheese and spicy "boom boom" sauce on a Kaiser roll it was really good and precisely the same as the one I previously had.

The inside of Roy Roger's was clean no complaints and cashier was wiping down the counter when I walked over. The food was really really greasy so I didn't enjoy it. The customer service here needs some work I waited at the counter for about 6-7 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. Normally the cashier or whoever will let you know that they would be right with you also when he called my name he didn't even put my food in the front for Kim I had to find it hiding between 2 condiments. I couldn't ask him where it was because he walked away to the back so fast. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

If you follow my reviews, you know I'm a fan of old-school diners, the classics, and honest home-cooked food. Summit hits all three marks, serving straightforward and delicious American standards since the 1960s. The three-egg omelet loaded with veggies and sausage was exactly the pre-ski power-up I needed. My son stuck with his go-to breakfast burrito, and my daughter went with the classic two eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was spot on. The staff has just the right level of "WWA"--Waitresses With Attitude. They are perfectly polite, but they hold the line on proper behavior and will quickly put anyone in their place if they step out of line. It keeps the environment grounded and authentic. A few tips for your visit: * Seating: Expect to wait for a table in the lobby or outside during peak hours. * Payment: Bring your wallet--this is a cash-only establishment.

They staff is fast and friendly and the food doesn't disappoint. It's such a rare thing in this day and age to see an old diner so we love to go when we are visiting Somerset. We typically go for breakfast. The next time you're in the area it's definitely a must stop place to go. Give them a try and you may have to wait to be seated they also only accept cash as their only form of payment so come prepared, they do have a ATM in the waiting area.
