Food is average, I didn't have anything that was spectacular but not bad either. Neat ambiance tho for sure.

First time eating here, very nice outside dining and chill atmosphere. I ordered the Southwest nachos and will definitely be getting those again! Service was 4/5. I guess they were busy, but only got checked on twice. Didn't really need much anyway after we ordered, but I would definitely come back. Food was great!

The Holy Taco proved to be a mighty tasty place to eat in downtown JC. It came recommended and my friend and I figured we'd give it a shot. I'm glad we did. It's a quaint a little place with a few TV's and a bar. The location is hard to beat as it's within a stone's throw of pretty much everything else in JC. The service wasn't great but certainly could have been worse. Our server always seemed to be running around but it would it would take her awhile to get to us. Mildly annoying but nothing to get bent out of shape about. The fact that she was hustling all of the time made it a lot easier to accept. The food was far and away better than I would have expected. I had the taco platter and we got the chips and guacamole to start. Both were really solid. I was expecting something par for the course but this was a pleasant surprise. They also have a basket full of various types of hot sauces to choose from. The prices were decent and the portions reasonable. They had a few drink specials which were also a plus. I'd absolutely return if given the chance.

The good: margaritas were $3 and tasted great. The decor was fun and my friend using an app on her phone was able to play songs she chose. The queso on my tacos had a great flavor! For vegetarians, they have tofu and mushroom options. The not so good: I found $9 for what I ordered to be a bit pricey. I hear there is a good lunch special though and I would consider returning for that. The tacos themselves were kind of plain (tofu and queso) and there wasn't much filling in the two tacos. My husband and I both thought the beans on the side were bland and kind of gross in texture. The rice was okay. There was a tiny side of chips and two small salsas (red and green). Service was kind of slow. Overall, I though this place was okay. If I do return, it'll be for a lunch special.

Probably my favorite mexicano cuisine I have had in Johnson City so far. The menu is limited but taste delicious and is reasonably priced. They have great taco lunch specials as well as excellent margaritas which is really important when eating at a tacoria. I love their guacamole! The atmosphere is real chill and they have a private outdoor patio as well. The staff is friendly. Highly recommend for a great downtown dining/bar experience.

We loved the cheese dip. Also the carne asada taco was amazing. Very spicy steak. Not for the faint at heart. The pollo taco was awesome too. The chicken wasn't as spicy as the steak but still very flavorful. We sat out on the patio with a huge party with 7 kids. The server was so great with us and the wild children. Full bar menu. You can order a la Carte. We really enjoyed it. The food is definitely worth checking out. And the prices are very inexpensive.

I had stayed away from this spot since the menu looked so meat focused. Met up there for an event recently and I am now hooked. It turns out the owner is making his menu more vegetarian friendly. I ordered the taco salad with the tofu and the cilantro dressing. It was wonderful. I was also able to try the guacamole and I am in love. I will have to return and ask for the queso without the meat because that looks delicious. The patio is such a nice spot to sit and enjoy a meal. I spoke to the owner on my way out. He said it isn't on the menu yet but they have portobello mushrooms as an option and named a few more vegetarian items that are coming. Yum, now I'm craving a taco salad. They may need to happen tonight.

I was traveling with my dog, who was a bit on edge from the long road trip and barked sporadically whenever people left the restaurant. Despite this, Aiden, my server, welcomed us with genuine kindness and patience. He was gracious, attentive, and completely unfazed by my dog's nerves, which made an already difficult day feel a little lighter. Because I was dining with my dog, I waited outside until the owner noticed me through the glass door. He immediately came out, warmly apologized for not seeing me sooner, and made sure we were comfortable. The apology was unnecessary -- if anything, it was definitely too cold to be dining outdoors, but I had no other option. Their hospitality made all the difference. As someone who lives in Atlanta, has dined at many excellent restaurants, and even wrote food reviews early in my career, I was genuinely blown away by the quality of the food. The wedge salad at The Red Fork is, without exaggeration, the best I have ever had. The fresh herbs, homemade dressing, and the addition of pickled onions created a layered, unexpected, and absolutely delicious flavor profile. I also loved the whipped pimento cheese served with what appeared to be homemade crackers and locally sourced chowchow. It was delightful -- one of those memorable bites you think about later. Their beer selection is also thoughtfully curated, representing a well‑balanced mix of local and regional craft brews -- IPAs, sours, lagers, and more. It's clear that care goes into every detail of the menu and beverage offerings, all locally sourced and seasonally influenced. I honestly can't believe such an outstanding restaurant exists in my hometown Tri‑Cities area. Between the exceptional food, the warm hospitality from both Aiden and the owner, and the overall welcoming atmosphere, The Red Fork provided the perfect end to a long and emotional day of travel. I will absolutely return, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through or living nearby.
