I had your pulled pork grilled cheese at the Taste of Joliet. I' sorry to say it, but it was not good.

Service is prompt and friendly…read more We ordered the sample platter which was plenty of food to split between three people and still have leftovers. YMMV depending on your party's appetite. Brisket - not the best I've had, but definitely good Pork Belly Burnt Ends - delicious! The sticky sweet sauce they come in is amazing. Pulled Pork - good Sausage link - meh Mac & Cheese - better than many places, but I'd probably try a different side next time Tater Tots - sooo good! Texas Twinkie - perfect flavor and jalapeno poppers and not usually my thing Pickles and pickled onions - so good! Pecan pie - took this home to eat later and it was one of the best pies I've ever had The BBQ sauce at a place can make it or break it. I didn't care for the vinegar based one, but their honey bbq sauce is delicious. I appreciated that they gave me a cup of it automatically when I asked for a to go container.

Been coming here since before they had fries on the menu. Last 2 times I've gone they've been out of ribs so I've had to substitute. So I've gotten the burnt ends and a brisket slider. The brisket is decent. Very tender. With the honey sauce it's quite good. The first time I got the burnt ends they were a little fatty to be expected but honestly delicious. But this most recent time I got them I'm talking almost 80% fat. I had a huge chunk of nothing but fat no meat to be seen. I was so unsatisfied I came here to write this review. I also don't like the 1 refill with my sodas before they start charging me for refills Matt's is one of the 3 good spots in the walkable area with barrel and vine and the Mexican spot being the other 2 good spots. Hoping the next time I can update this review for the better but highly disappointed tonight.

This time I got a 2-meat combo with a small side. I opted for brisket and pulled pork for my meat and Mexican Street Corn (Elotes) for my side. Soon after it came out (fast service for sure!) and I added to the meat one of three different BBQ sauces (sweet). Oh man this hit the spot. The meat was tender and flavorful, the BBQ sauce added so much to it. And the Mexican Street Corn was also on point with the right amount of mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, and spices. It was a great meal with decent portions...made it all worthwhile. I'll gladly come back here again for more. Note that they do have many options including daily specials. Today's was three Street Tacos for $12.99

We both ordered the pick 2 which came with 1 side. Added the cornbread (very tasty). The brisket, turkey and sausage were delicious. The street corn was probably my favorite item but all were good. If we are back up that way I will definitely want to stop again.
