Big Boi Smash and Crinkle Fries
    Lori M.

Holy Smash! By far the BEST smash burger. The Big Boi is BIG! The roll is buttery grilled perfection. The beef patties were lightly crispy on the edges as they should be and perfectly juicy in the center. American or Provolone cheese both choices were melted and smooth. Lettuce and tomato aren't necessary. Their C-Sauce, a mayo type sauce, added another layer of flavor so don't skip that. The hearty portion of crinkle fries were hot and a great side to share.

This is a food truck tucked closer to road and it was sooo good! Friendly people and yes, you will need the wet nap they give you! Got an Island Smash (single patty) burger and it was delicious. And the fries! Crinkle and fried to perfection!!! One order is enough to share for the three of us! Can't go wrong making this a stop for lunch!

Now THIS is a smash burger done right! It's a good size with great flavor and complimentary toppings. Extremely great value for what you get. Fries are also a big portion and cooked well with a nice crisp. The only thing I could see that would take this to the next level is some garlic aioli on that burger but no complaints at all!

We wanted some chicken strips for our kiddos because they're unfortunately not adventurous eaters. I'm so glad we picked them up at Holy Smash! They were made fresh to order & the portion was huge. It even came with a drink! The burgers looked delicious too & we'll have to try one next time.

We came up to Kahuku planning to try Seven Brothers after hearing good things, but they had just closed when we arrived. While figuring out a backup plan, we noticed Holy Smash tucked in with the other food trucks, and that ended up being a blessing in disguise. This was an exceptionally well-executed smash burger. The patty had a proper sear, a great crust, and plenty of juiciness, with that rich, satisfying texture you want from a burger done right. The overall build felt intentional from top to bottom. What really separated it was the sauce. It brought everything together without overpowering the burger, and it had the kind of balance that makes you immediately notice someone put real thought into it. I was genuinely trying to figure out what made it so good while eating, but whatever they're doing, it clearly works. My partner and I are pretty serious about burgers and make our own at home, experimenting with different blends, sauces, and techniques, so we tend to pay attention to details like texture, balance, and execution. This checked all of those boxes. The location is tucked in with the other food trucks in the Kahuku area, with nice shaded seating nearby. Pricing also felt very fair--around $12 for a burger with a generous portion of meat and toppings is hard to beat for the quality. We also got to talk with them a bit afterward, and they were genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more memorable. This ended up being one of those unexpected finds that becomes a standout memory from a trip. Easily one of the most memorable burgers we had on the island.

Burger was exceptionally tasty! Got the island burger with their sauce. So good! The size of the burger is almost like a McDonald's burger but so much more tasty and fresh. If you're craving a burger and want to experience this food truck village stop here! Service was good and plenty of seating. Definitely get some other foods too along the way, they're worth the experience.

This is a review for my son. He wanted me to write this. He said. Holly smash burger was very good. The best burger he had in Hawaii. The atmosphere is good. A lot of trucks to choose from. However holy smash ( and little lotus express) stood out above the rest. There is a restroom here but not quite clean and very small. Only 2 stalls for men 2 stalls for woman. The parking is not bad either. Thank you holy smash.

Best meal on the island. We have been here a week and eaten at a lot of different places. So many places with great food. However, we have been back to Homma twice now and we all agree as a family. It had the best food on the island for this trip. Definitely recommend coming and getting a double smash burger.

This is my first time eating here, and I think the burgers are fire. It's actually the best burger that I've had on Oahu.

My boyfriend and I stopped by a few days ago and gave it a try. And WOW. This place is absolutely amazing, by far one of the best smash burgers my boyfriend and I have ever had. It was so juicy, so flavorful, covered in grilled onions, not to mention HUGE. We easily split their double burger, and whatever they put in their sauce makes it 11/10. The owner, Mary is so sweet, I complimented her on the burger and sauce and was met with such lovely conversation, and love. What is shocking is they have only been here for a month, but I believe they will turn into a STAPLE for this spot in Kaneohe. Thanks again Mary and family! We will definitely be back, we just don't have transportation at the moment :(.

    Island smash burger

Super amazing customer service! The burger was, by far, the best smash burger I've ever had. It was so, so delicious and packed with flavor. We got the Island smash with grilled onions with their special sauce.

Five stars isn't enough! I've been here three times now, and Holy Smash never disappoints. The customer service is outstanding, everyone is incredibly friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing. Who would've thought some of the best Hawaiian-inspired smash burgers would be tucked away on the North Shore? If you're in the area, this place is a must-try. I'll definitely be back!

Papi's Tacos was across from Aloha Rolls. Alex had the football game on (Philadelphia vs someone), and we just started talking. We sat there for an hour talking. He was super friendly and cool. He even offered me a beer. I was skeptical that the food would be as good as back home (I'm from Southern California), but, upon learning he was from Santa Ana, I figured he knew what good Mexican food should taste like. I didn't buy anything then, as I was already full and had food left over, but lamented it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I specifically drove from Waikiki to this area to get food from Papi's Tacos. I do recommend the drive along the windward side of the island if you aren't pressed for time. I got the super burrito with carne asada and my GF got two carne asada tacos. Both were amazing. If you're on Oahu, make the trip, you won't regret it. Hale'iwa is a nice little time to check out in the area as well.

They have a mini fridge with bottled water for sale and complimentary salsas with heat levels clearly labeled. I tried the spiciest one and it was awesome, authentic, fresh and full of vibrant flavor with a blast of heat. The burrito itself was a decent portion but so mediocre, the rice was under seasoned and totally over cooked to the point it had the same mushy consistency as the refried beans. The chicken was flavorless and kind of tough so I was actually grateful there were so few pieces. I requested extra cilantro and it was equivalent to a half a teaspoon sprinkled about the whole burrito. Sorry to say I will not be returning and would not recommend this truck if you're in the area.

Telani could not have been more excited to tell us everything there was to know about the entire menu and the history of the family who owned it. Telani was so genuinely interested in us and asked question after question that made us feel like we were celebrities that had just walked into a small town diner. Telani is the star of this story, but I want to mention that the other two employees left a positive impression as well, amazing service is clearly a culture at this restaurant. Our shake took a little longer than usual because they were accommodating a young boy with a severe peanut allergy. At the end of our meal, Telani walked over and handed us a personalized postcard that she had written to commemorate our visit! This 17-year-old medical student at BYU Hawaii just put my own customer service expectations to absolute shame. I cannot wait to get back to my hotel staff and share this story and hopefully inspire them to start writing some postcards of their own. I've just finished writing one of my own. P.S. All the food was AMAZING! We got the Shez's paniolo burger, the Sterlings teriyaki burger, the paniolo fries, the banana bread, and a vanilla shake with Nutella and Oreo. Gonna have to hit the hotel treadmill hard tomorrow.
